I know codes for free 1-night movie rentals through Redbox have been scarce the last few months, but I found a few new ones to share with you. I could not find stated expiration dates for the codes, so if one doesn’t work for you, please leave a comment after this blog post.
They are:

REDBOX (valid for first-time Redbox users only)
N3WY3AR or DVDATMAC (both valid only at McDonald’s locations) (readers are reporting on our Facebook page that these no longer work)
DVDKROG (valid only at Kroger locations)
To receive your free rental, make sure to select “Rent with promo code” on the first screen, and when prompted, enter one of the promo codes above. Only one code can be used per transaction. Limit 1 use for each code per debit/credit card.
Find a Redbox kiosk near you.
Sign up for Movie Monday
Another option to receive free Redbox rentals is to login or create a Redbox.com account and sign up for the Movie Monday & Redbox Mobile Marketing Alerts. By doing so, you will receive a code via text message for a free movie rental on the first Monday of every month. Standard text messaging rates apply.

I have found that if I use a different debit or credit card I can use the same code more than once.
Another great place to get free movies is your local library system. Movies are shared among libraries. I go online and search and reserve my movies and they call me when they come in. There are 1000′s of titles and include new releases. I can check up to 3 movies out for 7 days at no charge, if they’re late though it’s $1 a day per movie.

My husband just used DVDATMAC, and said it worked fine. Maybe it depends on the McDonalds?

You can’t reserve a movie online with a promo code or at least according to the help information. I tried and no luck. Anyone else able to do it that way?
