We have added a new printing feature. You check the boxes for items you want added to your shopping list, then when you select “Print my list” at the bottom of the list you’ll get just that, a printed shopping list. The printing feature made the website crash earlier this week so we had to deactivate it :(
If you are new to shopping Double Daze, be sure to read Roundy’s (Rainbow Foods, Copps, and Pick N Save’s) double coupon policy before you get started to understand all the restrictions of their double coupon promotion.
If you shop at Copps and your ad doesn’t match the items mentioned in this shopping list, then check out what we saw for sales last week.
Two things to remember about this list of deals. First, it does not include every sale-priced item that has a coupon. It only has those items whose final price is low enough for us to mention it. Second, it is a starting list: as we learn of more deals whose final price is low enough, we will update this list. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.

Your turn: What other deals did you find this week?
Important updates for Roundy’s shoppers:
— Double Daze continues on Saturdays through July, although this week’s ad does not mention it. This has been confirmed by stores within the Roundy’s chain. If you question whether your store is participating (I am certain they all are), then please call and ask
— Fuel Perks rewards have decreased. Effective January 1 you now earn $0.05 off per gallon for every $50 you spend. That’s a bummer.
— There’s a new Baby Rewards Club. For every $100 you spend on participating baby products between January 9 and July 9, 2011 you’ll get a coupon for $10 off a $10+ purchase. You must present your Roundy’s card at the time of purchase in order for it to qualify. Qualifying items will be labeled on the shelf “Roundy’s Rewards Club Offer,” but qualifying brands include: Aquaphor, Aveeno Baby, Baby Orajel, Desitin, Enfamil, Gerber, Huggies, Johnson & Johnson, Learning Curve, Luvs, Mam, Munchkin, Pampers, Pedialyte, PediaSure, Playtex, Sassy, Similac, Wet Ones,

**Cub has a similar promotion this week and theirs only requires a 3 lb roast whereas Rainbow requires 3.5 pounds, plus Cub has some better cuts of meat included like sirloin roasts.
***Here’s how I decide whether something like this is a good deal or not: I start with my buy price for beef roast ($2.49/lb, which is up from my long-standing $1.99/lb), then figure that because I have to buy a 3.5 lb or larger roast that I am spending at least $1.75 over my buy price to get “free” vegetables. Personally, since I buy most of my vegetables at Aldi, whose prices are lower than Rainbow’s I decide if it is worth paying more for the meat to get the “freebies.” In this case, I think the vegetables are worth about $3 to me; spending $1.75 (if I buy a small 3.5 lb roast) to get $3 in free vegetables makes sense to me.

**Personally, I’d buy a $25 BP gift card or the roast deal and another filler to reach my $25 threshold for coupon doubling

I just filled up at bp last Saturday. I paid inside. I did > 9 gallons. Where is the code on the receipt? I am looking at the receipt and cannot find a code.
They give you a card with a code on it. You may be able to bring the receipt back in to get it.
Not to add more frustration for you Carrie. But when I print it only prints out the bottom 6 or 7 items, not the veggies or frozen foods. I use Firefox. Hope this doesn’t keep you up nights!
Ok, I went back to printing my old way (the whole page, whole list) and it made blue boxes for each item! Too much ink used to do that again. Hope you find the problem, or switch it back?? :) Thanks for trying to make our lives easier, Carrie!
Leann – LOL! I am going to do a separate blog post about the printing feature to see if gathering feedback in one place helps me figure out what the problem is.
Please keep the print list, as when it does work it is stellar! On a different note, anyone else think we’re about due for a dbl dbl day and a $10 off cereal deal? (perhaps w some milk and eggs thrown in, too??)
Not trying to be a pain, but I cant find the coupon for the lean cuisines? Could you possibly direct me to it? Thank you. I appreciate it!
Ashley – I couldn’t find the Lean Cuisine coupon, either, so I’m guessing it’s out of prints. :(
At my Pick N Save (Kimberly, WI) some of the Suave hair cair products (looked like mostly hair sprays) were 50% off. Not sure if there are any qs floating around out there. Also, the Coffee-mate holiday creamers (egg nog and peppermint) are 50% off too so that pairs great with the $1 off hang tags people have spotted. Also, yes there was a sign on the window stating double daze on Saturdays too. Not sure if this question was answered, but the organic Roundy’s frozen fruit for 25% off are normally $3.38 I noticed. I totally forgot my Prego coupon so that was a BIG bummer. Oh well, hopefully they will be on sale again sometime. There is also a Catalina deal that runs 12/27 – 1/23 for Crystal Light. Buy 2 get $1, Buy 3 get $2, Buy 4 or more and get $3 toward a future order. Wow, that’s all for now lol.
Chelle – Thanks for the info on the catalina deal!
Went to Rainbow today and bought my 4 items to qualify for the $100 drawing, but it didn’t print out at the end of the receipt. I was told to go to customer service, which I did. They also couldn’t figure out why it didn’t print. They gave me the address where to send my information to and said that “no purchase was necessary” to enter the sweepstakes. How frustrating. If I had known that I can’t say I would have bought those 4 items without coupons!
this is confusing to me too…in the ad for PNS it says no purchase necessary but says certain items are qualified for entry???hmm
Okay…so while chatting it up with another coupon chica tonight at Pick n Save she told me that you can double 5 coupons per each transaction over $25 (which I knew!!). However, I did not know you can have up to 7 transactions per day!!!! So tonight I was SO excited to split my groceries into two transactions and use 10 double coupons! WAHOO! Am I way behind on this “new” news to me or do people normally do this!?!
i knew this too :’) isn’t it great
I don’t go every week, so when I do go I usually do at least 2 transactions. If my husband is with me it’s easier to do more because it’s hard to keep track of everything and separate the groceries for each transaction.
I even have two different cards cause sometimes I get close to the 7 trans limit and I’ll use the other card…lol
Oh that’s a good idea…I could use my hubby’s as well!! Thanks for the tip Mark!
Agreed…I had a hard time keeping track of matching coupons to what was in each order etc. I actually had to step out of line TWICE to reorganize…LOL!
I didn’t know it was 7 transactions! Usually I do two, three if there are some really great deals and I’m well stocked on coupons. I felt a little bad doing three transactions sometimes but now I won’t! Thanks for sharing!
How does one get extra Red Plum coupons/inserts? My husband is a big quaker oatmeal eater and the deal they have going on right now is better than awesome..
Thanks for any tips!
Hi Dana,
I am trying to decide the best way to do this as well. I am contemplating the idea of buying some coupons on ebay. They have tons of 1.00 off oatmeal coupons and you can buy them in various groupings, like 10-20 coupons for a dollar or so. However, I don’t really like the idea of “buying” coupons, but I guess I “buy” them in my sunday paper anyway!?! Not sure how to do this either without buying 10 copies of the paper for an item I really want!! Let me know what you decide to do..I would be curious:)
Cassie and Dana
I have bought coupons from ebay before..and it is an amazing way to stock up on an item very quickly. Just be careful with how long the sale goes on…sometimes shipping takes awhile.
Healthy Choice frozen meals are also $2.00 each this week. I know there are some coupons out there to bring the price down more. I had one that printed a few weeks ago for $1/2 so I got 2 meals for $1.00 each after doubling!
So excited to hear about 7 transactions per day – I had always heard 3 per day. I can usually get all my coupons doubled in 3 orders. I’m always sure to let the cashier know that I’m doing 3 transactions to get the doubled coupons and they are (usually) great to help, especially if I stick the coupon in the wrong pile.
Crystal Light is adding new flavors to their Pure Fitness products and new packaging, so some of the flavors are 50% off. I paid $1.73/box of lemon lime Pure Fitness and bought 4 so I earned $3 off a future order. The only mistake I made was having the Crystal Light in the last order instead of the first so I have to wait until next week to use the $3/off coupon.
I did the slim-fast deal last week.(buy $40.00 get $10.00 off your next order) When I used my $10.00 off coupon yesterday a new $10.00 off coupon printed off on my receipt! Now every time I use the $10.00 coupon it prints me a new one no matter what I buy!??? I have used it like 5 times and I keep getting a new coupon. Any one else experience this?
Wow…lucky you!
let us know when the coupons stop. this is interested
My local Super PNS (Menomonee Falls WI) had tear pads with FREE Clorox bleach WYB the wipes, to make the deal better (for the $3.00 off coupon)
My store will limit me to 3 transactions at one time, then I have to go through the store and come back, which is fine for me, I can’t keep more than 3 straight in my cart while shopping with 3 under 3 years old! lol!
And, I noticed a few weeks ago, a link to a price list… Where can I find this link again? I’m not seeing it here, and I’d like to make my own, or add to a list, I’ve been tracking prices at my local store… I also LOVED the little trip “planner” that I’ve seen posted before, where you enter the name of the item, the price, the coupon, etc and it helps plan your trip… I’m tired of using scrap paper and working on transactions for 30 minutes to get the best deal before I leave… lol!
Not sure if anybody else noticed, but I just got my February All You magazine today, and it has $1.00 off Quaker instant oatmeal. :-)
Although the fuel perks have decreased, one of the cashers told me that they are starting up a new program, where certain items in the store will earn you additional fuel perks, so it might not be a bad deal after all. Hopefully they’ll be on name brand products that we can get coupons for…then it could really add up.
i asked one of my friends about the fuel perks and mentioned it to her- she gave me a mouthful as why i would even consider buying gas at BP! anyone else get this?
I’ve heard about this as well but someone reminded all of us that these gas stations are operated/owned by “mom and pop” type of local people that have NOTHING to do with what went on in the Gulf. It isn’t “okay” to punish the people who are trying to make a descent living for something they had no control over. I hadn’t thought of that before and was glad that this person spoke up and put a different perspective on things.
Thank you for writing that, Carrie. I read an article about one of our local SLP BP stations that was getting hurt by misguided boycotters in the aftermath of the tragedy. As you said, it was a family owned place that was trying to make a living, and they simply own a gas station under the BP name. They were being hurt for something they had nothing to do with. And, as they pointed out, it’s not like they had the freedom to just take the BP name off their gas station!
I loved the print feature! Saved me a lot of time. I’m sorry it crashed the website. :( Thanks for trying.
