CVS has a new Extra Care Beauty Club where you can earn some free Extra Care Bucks. Plus, if you sign up online by today (1/6), you will be entered to win a trip for two to the 2012 People’s Choice Awards and $500 in beauty products. Limit 1 enrollment per card, per household.

Members will receive the following:

– 10% off beauty shopping pass sent via e-mail after enrollment

– $5 Extra Care Bucks for every $50 you spend on qualifying beauty purchases

– $3 Extra Care Bucks on your birthday

A wide variety of categories qualify towards the $50 threshold, including purchases made in cosmetics, fragrances, hair accessories and appliances, hair care, skin care and hosiery. Offer excludes Beauty 360, trial and travel size items, gift cards and prescriptions.

Your Extra Care Bucks reward will automatically print on your receipt two days after you’ve purchased $50 in qualifying products. Readers elsewhere have said the total is before coupons; however, I was not able to verify this. Please come back and let us know if your reward printed with $50 in products purchased before or after coupons.

Your turn: What do you think about the CVS Extra Care Beauty Club? Did you enroll?

Comments

  1. I did sign up. I already got the 10% off coupon emailed to me, and it's only good thru 1/9. I don't think I'll use it as CVS isn't super convenient for me. My birthday is next week, though, so I hope I do get the $3 off coupon this year. : )

  2. I also signed up the other day, in store. Doubt I will use the 10% coupon either, even though I probably would have, if I had known I was going to get it. IE the Revlon tools that are buy 2 and get $7 in ECB would have been an even better deal with 10% off. My birthday is also next week, so we shall see if I get the $3 or is it too soon.

I will be curious to find out what products are considered beauty and how it will be calculated, but considering my winter spending so far (since Dec. 21st ish) is almost $15, I doubt I will get much back from the beauty club, other than the birthday gift.

  3. If you purchase a beauty item and get EB back will they count the whole amount toward the beauty club or just the amount minus EB?

  4. Apparently it is after coupons, because I purchased two Pantene last night with two "free" coupons and my beauty club balance did not change–neither did my summer spending total which is way below that I have actually purchased before coupons.

  5. Amanda says:

The totals before your coupons are used … The spending & savings at the bottom of the recipt only change every few days … It does add up just takes a few days for updating … I used coupons for febreeze spend $20 get $10 extra bucks and after coupons I only ending up spending $13 & still got the $10 back
