It’s a great week at CVS with better than free dishwasher detergent and digestive care products as well as free candy, infant formula and inexpensive household cleaning supplies after coupons and Extra Care Bucks.
If you haven’t noticed, we added a new printing feature to all the shopping lists at Pocket Your Dollars. Each item has a check box before it. Click the boxes for items you want to include on your shopping list, then select “Print my list” at the bottom of the list. You can print a separate list for each store. The printable shopping list feature ended up crashing the website this week, so we had to deactivate it for now; read more about it.
If you’re new to CVS, your first step is to learn the ins and outs of the ExtraCare program and learn how to read this shopping list. For those who use reusable bags, you may want to buy a green bag tag.
Remember that this is a starting list of deals for the week. We will update this list as readers leave comments with bargains they found at their local store, we get emails with deal ideas or we read about other deals across the blogosphere. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.
Your turn: What other deals did you find this week at CVS?

LOVE the “Print My List” feature Carrie! THANK YOU! Saves me so much time :)
FYI, the St. Michael CVS is having their grand opening tomorrows with drawings and a lot of things on sale. They also send out coupons for area customers with CVS cards.
I found a $1/2 Windex Q in the 01/08 Sat early edition. Makes them $1.50 each.
Wouldn’t it be as low as $3.99 (not $4.99) on the Clear Care/Aquify contact solution deal using the $5 coupon and getting $5 in Extra Care Bucks?
Yes, I fixed it :)
I cannot locate the Clear Care coupon in today’s Smart Source section of my paper. Was there definitely a $5 coupon today?
Kristel – If you purchased the Minneapolis Star Tribune, you should have received a $5 coupon. Other newspapers may have slightly different coupon inserts and may not have received this coupon.
On the target coupon site there is coupons for Axe Deoderant $1.00 off so if your CVS accepts target coupons this could be used on the Axe deal. Needs to be a full sized deoderant so should work.
Hope I get the Nexxus coupon from the coupon spitter. Thanks for heads up–sometimes I can get the coupon a few times during the wk.
The Pepsi deal has a different ‘event code’? Seriously? Wow! You’re amazing to know that. Thank you!
I was able to do both Pepsi deals – THANK YOU!! HUGE for our budget since my husband is a self-proclamined Mt. Dew Addict!!!
The Similac concentrate coupon is for a totally different product than the Similac RTF formula. The $3.00 printable will work, but the $5.00 coupon is for the actual concentrated Similac which is different than the ready to feed formula.
Thanks, Carina!
Love the new print my list option, but have a suggestion to help improve it. Could you put boxes next to things like “Spend $20+ on Select Lysol, Finish or Air Wick Products, Get $10 Extra Care Bucks (Limit 1)” too so we can add the heading to our list and make sure we know what promotion we’re doing? If it could be part of each deal scenario too that would be even better, like just having that be the heading at the top of each deal scenario so it will automatically print out with the deal scenario..
I agree with Erin’s idea… was thinking the same thing!
I agree!
The Venus razor deal in my circular reads get $5 ECB when buy a razor AND a cartridge, not or.
Thanks, Melissa!
There must be an unadvertised special with ECB’s on Nature Made Vitamins. If you buy $20 worth, it gives you $5 back. And this is before the discount for the B1G1 this week. I got two bottles of fish oil tablets so that I would hit the $30 limit for my $5 off of $30 coupon. I had two $3 off any Nature Made vitamin from a CVS beauty insert (I got it around Christmas time from the register area and took a few copies). I then used two $2 off of fish oil from the 1-2 smart source. This made them free. They became a $5 money maker when my receipt printed off the $5 ECB. And it appears that the $5 ECB may not be a limit one, because it does not say “offer limit reached” on the bottom of my receipt yet.
There are $2 coupons for Scott bath tissue or paper towels on the Scott website here is the link to cut and paste.
http://www.scottbrand.com/community/savings/scott/coupon_display?coupon=coupon.100110.extrasoft.html
I went to the Grand Opening today at the St MIchael CVS. I got 15 bottles of Sobe Lifewater, 2 – 4 packs of Izze, 2 boxes of Finish Dishwashing Tabs, a box of quart size freezer bags, and a liter of coke and I made $2 on it. :)
Maybe I am missing something, but is the math correct on the Ziploc deal?
Is anyone else having problems with the print feature? Only some of the items that I check off are printing out – even though they are displayed on the screen. I’ve tried it several different times, several different ways.
I have always cut and pasted the list into microsoft word, then deleted what I was not going to purchase. I like this format because I can change the font and size in order to save paper and ink. However, I am having a lot of trouble trying to delete what I don’t want to print. Also, the list doesn’t all fit from left to right in this format and I am losing some of the last words in the list.
I’m having the same problem. The Deal Ideas aren’t printing out for me, even though they show on the screen.
Couldn’t find any printout coupon for the Nexus shampoo. Eden Prairie CVS already cleaned out of Finish Diswasher products. No Gas-X Prevention products sold at EP CVS either.
I scored big tonight at CVS (in my opinion, at least). I spent $10.21 out of pocket, and got $31 back in ECB’s. Got the “Finish” deal (3 boxes dishwasher detergent, 4 bottles rinse agent), had 3 of the $2.25 coupons, two 75c, and two 50c coupons – got $10 ECB. Got the Starbucks Frappuchino deal (one of my very favorites that I hardly ever get because it’s too expensive) – four 4 packs of Frappuchino and 1 bottle of SOBE – used four $1 coupons for the coffee, and 1 FREE coupon for the SOBE – got $10 ECB. Got the Maalox/GasX offer – even though we’ve never used these products. 2 bottles of Maalox for $6.89 ea, 1 box GaxX Prevention for $6.29 ea. Total $20.07. Used two $5 Maalox coupons, and a $4 GaxX Prevention coupon, plus got $10 back in ECB. Also got $1 ECB for my green bag tag. Used $18.99 in previous ECB’s, as well as $1.50 in ECB from the coupon spitter outer. I’m quite pleased as I still consider myself somewhat of a rookie at this!
bummed that I forgot to get the free candy… but will go back later in the week for that!
Just an FYI, I scored both of the Pepsi deals, but on the first on I got the Starbucks frap…they only let me use one of my four coupons due to the coupon stating only one per transaction.
I was at the St. Michael CVS yesterday and they, of course, were out of the Finish tabs. I got a raincheck. The store manager told me that there was a lady there right when they opened at 7am, and her transaction cleaned them out. They had to get some more stock from the Rogers CVS and even that was gone before too long. The good news is, they included the 10.00 ECB on the raincheck so I’ll get that when I go back in to get it!
does anyone know if all the cvs stores get their deliveries for the specials on the same day of the week . ours at shakopee gets one toward the middle of the week but most the time when i go there they havent put those items out right away. if i don’t see them out later this week i think i’m going to to do what dana did and get a raincheck.
Shouldn’t you buy one more $2 item to make the “Spend $25+ on Select Kleenex, Cottonelle or Scott Products, Get $10 Extra Care Bucks (Limit 1)” deal work? The deal idea you have listed states “buy $23 get 10ECBs…
Raine – You just need to buy $25 worth of products, you don’t need to actually spend $25, so this deal should work just fine.
Ohhhhh. I see. Next time I’ll read more closely ;) Thanks for the clarification!
Love the print list. I know you are still working out bugs, so maybe the print problem is for people with Macs? It doesn’t work right for me. The Target list was half complete and the CVS list doesn’t think that I checked anything. Hope those details help you diagnose the problems. Looking forward to using it soon. Lisa
Great deals this week! Does anyone know if you can use the B1G1 coupon for Bic razors PLUS the $2/1 Bic razor coupon together? I see that Bic disposables are buy 1 get 1 50% off. I’m hoping I can get these for pretty cheap. Any ideas?
Carrie – Yes, you should be able to use both coupons together (but this varies from cashier to cashier and store to store). What kind of prices did you find in the store?
I just tried print my list for the first time–did not work. When I hit print list it only showed one deal on the nest pg(though I checked many) and when I printed the list heading showed up but no deal printed.Great idea–will live when it works :) Thanks!
I am having trouble printing as well.
The store in Delano was out of Finish detergent right away Monday morning. I talked to the manager and he said with the ECB deal and the 2.25 coupons, they were gone right away! He said it’s disappointing because they (the store) are not notified of these deals and so they don’t know when to ‘stock up’ on those specific items. He did advise getting a raincheck and told me that the next truck will come sometime on Thursday.
Jill – Yup, rainchecks are definitely the way to go at CVS. Once I found out how easy they are to receive and redeem, I haven’t been rushing to the store on Sundays like I usually did to see if I could get any of the deals before they were all gone. I’ve found that Tuesdays and Thursdays are good days for me to check back, too (at least for the stores near me).
If your CVS takes competitors coupons the Walgreens January coupon book has a $$$ off of Pepsi products – I believe you have to buy at least 4 12pks with the coupon so it should make the 6 for $20 with $10 ECB even cheaper.
Target coupon site had $1 off two 12 pks of Mountain Dew. The Eden Prairie CVS takes Target coupons. I was able to print two of these. So a little extra saving on an already great deal of 6/$20 get $10 ECB. That’s like six 12 pks for $8!
I also found $4/1 peelies on some of the physicians formula foundation. Between the ECB I had, the 10% beauty club, the coupons, the clearance, and the $7 off this week I scored 2 foundations, 2 blush, 2 shadow things, 2 eyeliners, 4 concealors for $8. Wish I would of got the $10 from the coupon spitter outer but I’m definately not complaining.
Both Pepsi deals worked for me, too. I would have never thought of the 2-liter bottle option. I’m so thankful for your insight on that deal. Thank you!
Rimmel is b1 g1 half off, and in latest issue of all you is a b1g1 free coupon. made my $10.00 in nail polish $2.00
