Today on Plum District, a daily deal site, you can buy AMC movie theater tickets for $5 each. Limit of two tickets per person. Tickets can be redeemed for one admission at any AMC, AMC Showplace, Loews, Cineplex Odeon, Magic Johnson and Star theaters in the U.S. There is always a limited supply with these types of promotions and I’d expect it to sell out before the time runs out on the sale at midnight tonight.
(Some folks are saying they cannot buy it because they live outside the deal’s zip code. If that’s you, then *maybe* this will work. Try to get to Plum District through this link to their home page. Then look for the Plum Steal in the list of deals scrolling through underneath the main box. If you click on the deal from there, does it work?)
After you order your ticket(s) today, you can expect to receive them in the snail mail within 2 business weeks (hopefully in time for Valentine’s Day?). Tickets expire in the year 2050 (yes, that’s what the website says!), so hopefully you’ll make time to use them before then.

My favorite thing about this deal is that other than a surcharge for 3D, there are no restrictions on movies.
I grabbed two also.
My husband had gotten one amc movie ticket from his work over the holidays, and with these two our family of 3 can go to a movie without ruining the budget! :-)
The website says that certificates will be mailed. No printed copies will be accepted. I don’t see where I have given them my address. Amy I missing something?

By the way, this would be an even better deal if the Minneapolis area AMCs weren’t dropping the moviewatcher club in favor of a new program that requires we spend $100 to get a reward.
