Menards and Home Depot actually have great trees reasonably priced! For years we went to a P-R-I-C-E-Y tree lot but this year we got ours from Menards and last year Home Depot and they were fabulous! Good luck!

Today is national cookie day? Or at least that is what Good morning America indicates. Guess there isn’t much for celebrating that day going on….

Hope to get some shopping done as yesterday the weather hampered my efforts.

I did get a coupon from one of my shopping trips for $10/10 purchase at fashion bug so plan to get my daughter finished for free. Hope it works!
THanks for the hot choc coupon as that will be a nice treat inbetween the shopping.

Lowes has trees starting at $15. We got a nice one yesterday. We were not planning on getting one this year to save money, but I was able to fit $15 in the budget.

Just a note for those that like to cut down their Christmas tree like we always do (and it’s certainly not a way to get a cheaper tree!) – Hampton Hills is still advertising themselves as having an amazing selection of Balsam and Frasier Firs to cut down. However, we found we may need to take off our list until they open up a new section. There were very pretty Balsams, but had a very hard time finding one as tall as we like. And that was last weekend which was their opening weekend. Maybe their Rum River location is actually better now. It’s still so much fun to go cut down a tree, though. We did that from the time our children were babies, and they have great memories of choosing the tree and taking the sleigh ride with Santa.

Thanks for the coupon! Enjoyed a great Mocha today while out shopping!

We used to get our trees at Menards etc and lately have been disappointed with the quality of them. So, last year we splurged and got a tree from Krueger’s Tree Farm in Lake Elmo. We loved our tree! So, this year we went again! Yes, the tree was a bit more expensive but we are supporting a local business and our tree is fresh! We paid about $65 for a 9 foot tree.

At least if you go to the ace near grand and Dale it is!
