This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

Today’s Groupon offer for Minneapolis/St. Paul is a 26-week subscription of the daily Star Tribune newspaper for $25. Maybe you have a friend or family member that is just getting into coupons and has yet to order a home delivered newspaper. This could be a great early Christmas present.

Here’s all the fine print for this deal:

  • This offer is limited to new subscribers only in a limited set of zip codes.
  • Limit 1 per household (assuming you are a new subscriber), but you may purchase multiples as gifts
  • You will be charged a one-time payment for the initial 26-week subscription period, paid through your Groupon account.
  • At the end of the 26-week period, you will be notified and your subscription will continue unless you contact the Star Tribune to cancel.
  • The value stated in this deal is an introductory price only. If you choose to renew your subscription through the Star Tribune once the initial 26 weeks are over, the same price is not guaranteed.

Just thought I would leave a tip if your paper subscription is up….

I called to cancel my subscription for my paper a week before my "introductory" subscription was up. They asked me why I was cancelling and I told them it was too expensive to do the normal $50/6 month subscription. They called me back and offered to give me another 6 months at the "introductory" subscription. (This is for a different paper than Minneapolis–but I have found that this works for magazines as well.) I let them lapse–and often they will call back with a rock bottom price and that is when I renew… Just another way to save some $$!

This is what I've been waiting for – thank you!

We enjoy reading the paper and I know the coupons will make it more than worth the money!

I saw this deal menioned a few weeks ago in open mic…the person provided a link for The deal which was for $26 For a year subscription of Sundays paper, and a $25 gift card gets sent to you (so it will cost $1)….does anyone else recall this deal??? I'm wondering if anyone purchased t he deal and if you had received the gift card yet? I haven't heard anything and it's been a month since I signed up. Thank you!!!

I'm pretty sure that deal is for counties outside of Hennipen. In cities that they only charge $1 for the Sunday paper, you'll find the deal in that paper. It's mainly the Pioneer Press market. Bums me out that I can't get it living in Minneapolis.

I was on the phone this AM with the Star Tribune. The gentleman I was talking with in the subscription department told me that they had a promo code for the e-edition and Sunday print delivered for 52 weeks for $26.00. Anybody know the promo code? He said he would give me the deal if he knew the promo code but he didn't have it and people who call in for this promo give it to him so he can enter it into the computer. This would be a really great price.
