If you are planning to surf the web at all today, Friday, make sure you use the Swagbucks search engine because it’s Mega Swagbucks Day. Every Friday, Swagbucks gives out more and higher-value Swagbucks than usual as you use their search engine to find things online. You could win anywhere from 20 and 1,000 Mega Swagbucks in a single search; since 450 Swagbucks are needed for a $5 Amazon gift card, that means a single search could be worth over $10.

Use the Swagbucks search engine as you normally would, but maybe a little more often today, to see if you can win the big bucks. Then, if you do, please come back here and let us know or share it on Pocket Your Dollars’ Facebook page.

If you aren’t motivated by the Amazon gift card, you can earn other prizes too – like Starbucks and Barnes & Noble gift cards.

For those that are new to Swagbucks, create a free account to this search engine that rewards you; you’ll register, then need to confirm your registration by clicking on a link in a confirmation email. Newbies can learn all about Swagbucks in How to Use Swagbucks: 5 Ways to Earn Points and Prizes Online.

Your turn: How many Swag Bucks did you win today?

I love Swagbucks! I've redeemed 3 Starbucks cards since joining. Since coffee out is a huge luxury for me, one of the things I gave up when I first realized I needed to cut back on spending, having a $10 Starbucks card is such a treat!

Sheepy – Now there's a good idea. Maybe I should limit my Starbucks spending to just the gift cards I get from Swagbucks. I usually get the Amazon gift cards, but this would force me to limit my spending in that area.

One little teeny complaint: of all the links above, I am struggling to find a direct link to Swagbucks. The links only go back to previous PYD blog posts. I've noticed this on other posts and it's finally time to say something. I check your blog on breaks and can't spend minutes trying to find the right link. Can you help me?

    Carrie,

Thanks! You turn me heavenward in your ability to take criticism with such grace. I struggle with that, myself. And yet the funny thing is that being kindly upfront right away usually solves any problem much better than withholding criticism in the name of "kindness". Thanks for reminding me of that. Maybe I'll have that skill down by the time I'm 100.

Also, I just ate my words and found myself looking through your past posts to understand how to use Swagbucks to my benefit. LOL!

I just signed up for swagbucks. Wondering if you have to download the toolbar, or if you can go without??? I try to download as little as possible…any suggestions? Thanks in advance! :)

You don't have to use the toolbar, but you get one swagbuck each day just for having it! You also get 1 point for voting in the daily poll and for just visiting the swagbucks survey page. I've just started getting serious about swagbucks in the past few months and have already earned $35 dollars in Amazon GC.

My goal is to earn enough in the next year to pay for all of my Christmas gifts!
