Local Deals: Free Timberwolves Tickets, St. Paul Farmers’ Market + More

Free MN Timberwolves Preseason Tickets. Get free tickets to the Timberwolves’ preseason game vs. the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday, 10/19 at 7pm at the Target Center. You will have to pay fees of $2.16/ticket and $2.50/order, but this is still a fantastic deal. (Thanks, Kelly!)

Lauren Conrad will be signing her two new books, Lauren Conrad Style and Sugar and Spice at the Mall of America Best Buy Rotunda on Tuesday, 10/19 at 6pm.

Educators’ Evening at the MIA. All teachers can enjoy complimentary refreshments, door prizes, free resources, and more at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts Educators’ Evening 2010 on Thursday, October 21 from 4-8pm. The Art of the Native Americans: The Thaw Collection exhibit will be featured (this exhibit opens October 24).

St. Paul Farmers’ Market. Did you know that the St. Paul Farmers’ Market is open year round? (Obviously I didn’t.) They are open from 6am-1pm on Saturdays and from 8am-1pm on Sundays through 11/21. On Wednesday, 11/24, the market is open from 10am-4pm for the Thanksgiving fixin’ day. Pre-order turkey, goose or duck and pick them up fresh that day and get the rest of what you need to make a yummy Thanksgiving dinner. Winter market hours (Saturdays from 9am-1pm) begin 12/4 and run through April 2011.

    Just a correction – the Timberwolves will be playing the Indiana Pacers – not the Packers. :)

    I am assuming that things get posted here as pyd hears about them. But, it would be nice to have more than 1-2 days notice for a lot of these events.

    we did the timberwolves deal last week..for 5 tickets (we did to 2 order, one in my name and one in my husbands) we spent around $15. parking was $10 and I stuck some candy bars in my purse. We bought each of the kids a drink and had a pretty cheap family night out! It helped my husband was pretty familiar with the seating as he used to be a season ticket holder so our seats weren’t too bad.

    Oops..for got to add…as far as advance notice on the ticket deal my husband literally got an email Monday night for the tuesday night game. If you can do swing it , its worth it!
