Deals at CVS seem a little slow this week. As a result, we have included some things on this list that aren’t fabulous deals, but just in case you need to use up Extra Care Bucks we’ve listed them. Anything that is not a very good price is noted as such. Be sure to sign up for CVS’s email list to receive a coupon for $4 off your next purchase. (Thanks, Nicole!)
If you’re new to CVS, your first step is to learn the ins and outs of the ExtraCare program and learn how to read this shopping list. If you are just getting started and have questions, please leave them in the comments so we can all help you learn how to spend less. For those that use reusable bags, you may want to buy a green bag tag.
Remember that this is a starting list of deals for the week. We will update this list as readers leave comments with bargains they found at their local store, we get emails with deal ideas or we read about other deals across the blogosphere. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.
Your turn: Which coupons did you get out of the coupon spitter outer machine this week?

This has to be the most boring week of specials at CVS. I don’t see anything that would make me get in the car and go to CVS this week. Has anyone been able to use their rainchecks/$10Q yet on the Oral B toothbrush advertised a few weeks back? I was told I could buy it online and then come in for my ECB and reimburse for my Mfg Q- unfortunately they were conveniently out of stock online this week (would have timed well with 20% off everything sale).
I noticed in the Andover CVS that the spot for the Oral B toothbrush is no longer there either.
I agree Jo. I’m not a big CVS shopper, but their sales this week are very BORING!
I agree–not very exciting. Though I will go in for the sanitizer pen.
I bought two yesterday in Woodbury, but when I had checked last week I didn’t even see the spot for them. Unfortunately, the two I took were the only two there.
Rogers said they have put in orders for a lot of the toothbrushes, and that they will eventually have them but there was some issue with getting enough. We are gum-a-holics, so I will be going in to get the Mento’s gum since I have enough coupons to get 6 of them.
They are back in stock online. I don’t see where the 20% everything is though?
I haven’t found the OralB in stock either.
Nope I haven’t been able to find the Oral B brush yet either! Frustrating cause I want to get it taken care of before my q expires!
Has anyone else been receiving their Neutrogena Cilinical Skincare Rebate? They promised to reimburse cost up to $40. I paid $39.99. My rebate check arrived……for $2.00. Anyone other than me have problems with this rebate? The ONLY reason I bought this product was the promise of a full rebate.
Teresa – I think I’ll use your comment/question as a springboard for an entire blog post dedicated to the discussion around this rebate as a way of collecting ideas about how to handle situations like this.
Thanks, Carrie. I will be interested to read what others have to say. I was very disappointed with this rebate. I suppose for $38, I’ll take the time to write them a letter. But, I have had very bad luck with even receiving a reply from companies.
I received mine this week and it was for my purchase price minus coupons and discounts, which for me was $27.
Mine was for full amount. My daughter’s was for the amount minus the coupons, but then she got the $5.00 in another check last week so we figured that they were making up that $5.00 coupon amount.
When I got my initial rebate it was only for $9 (I used ECBs to pay) I called in and talked to customer service. They said they had gotten a lot of complaints and were looking into it. She took my information (address etc) and said she would get back to me. A couple weeks later, I got a check in the mail for the remaining amount ($25). So I would definitely call and see if they will send you the rest. They definitely should because they never said that you would only be reimbursed out of pocket expense.
I recieved my rebate a few days ago and it was for the full purchase price before coupons!
I asked about the Oral B raincheck tonight. The clerk said Lakeville store just re-did the Oral B section so it is all up to date and there is no place on the shelf for that product which makes her think they are not going to be getting any in.
Also, Mentos were $1.79.
My CVS told me they are not getting any more in- that it is not a product they are going to carry any more. Bummer.
A CVS manager told me tonight they would not be getting them in. He said he thinks they have been recalled. My local Rite Aid has a big supply at $23.95 and they are on a 50% closeout. This make the price $11.48, less the $10.00 coupon. Not free, but not bad for $1.48.
Stopped into CVS in White Bear Lake yesterday, tried to use the hand sanitizer coupon but the cashier said it didn’t start until 10/18 in their computers. They also didn’t have the Vitality toothbrush I got the raincheck for and like everyone else said, no spot on the shelf for it. I did pickup another free bag of candy corn…the magic coupon machine kicked out a 3rd coupon for it!
Mentos gum was $1.79 in Alexandria as well, so the BOGO made it a money maker with the two $1 coupons.
It was the same price in Blaine and I was able to use both $1 coupons making it a money maker for me too.
For those not on the CVS email list there is mention in the ad this week that if you sign up you’ll automatically be sent a $4 coupon. I wasn’t on the list, signed up and have the coupon. I believe it expires on the 27th but still makes some of these deals better. The link is “www.cvs.com/email”.
Another note..I had some difficulties getting through the sign up process. To prevent the error I only selected the “extra care” option.
I get letters every week for $4 or $5 off a $xx.00 purchase. It varies but usually $20-$30 dollar purchase. I don’t use the AZO but will donate it. I will pick up the eye shadow and have stocking stuffers as I have done the nail/lip deal in past weeks. It all helps as long as I am out and about. I have my first cold for the season so the santizer will come in handy so I hope they have it in stock.
I haven’t gotten my rebate back but hope it is correct.
Does anyone know If the Benefiber is a good deal? I haven’t priced them but would like to pick some up.
Thanks,
I get those every week too so I tend to wait to shop until they come. By having to use up some ECB that were going to expire I got a Blink tears from a raincheck, 2 Revlon polishes, 2 revlon lipsticks, the CVS spray sanitizer (they pushed this through), 2 mentos, 2 little bags of M&M’s, and 1 hydro razor for $14.14 OOP then got $21 in ECB back as well as a $5 off $15 Q.
Has anyone found the AZO Itch Relief? I’ve looked for it in a few stores.
Yes-I can’t remember if it was in the Anoka or Andover store, but it was with other feminine hygiene products.
I shopped at the CVS in Eagan on Diffley (off 35E) and they had the Oral-B toothbrushes. It took me 3 weeks to get them but I finally did. There was one left. Unlike some other people, there seemed to be an appropriate spot for them. Good luck!
I went to CVS today and bought the Schick razor deal. Lucky for me there was a buy a razor, get a free Schick Hydro shaving cream peelie on it, so free razor and shaving cream! Yippee!!!
I finally found one of the coupons for the free shave cream today! So, after ECB’s, I a free quart of milk, ten free packs of mentos gum, a free razor, free shave cream, and a free hand sanitizer. The milk was free because I had ten mentos coupons and the Mentos are two for $1.79.
CVS in Lakeville on Kenwood Ave has the Renpure Organics-try me free-rebate on their bottles. Both the conditioner and shampoo!
Thanks, Nekaya!
On SimplyCVS they mentioned an unadvertised ECB deal for Neutrogena split end repair–pay $7.49 receive $7.49 in ECB. The deal was tagged at the CVS in Chanhassen. Check your store! There were only 2 left on the shelf so I didn’t wait to go home to see if a q is available (pyd is blocked at work so I couldn’t use the coupon data base to check).
Hope the coupon spitter isn’t jammed today!
Still have heard nothing on my Neutrogena rebate. I too only bought it because it was free after rebate. That is a lot of money for my family to be out right now. Really wishing I would’ve passed on this one :-( soooo bummed.
Me either…it is extremely frustrating!
I JUST got my Neutrogena rebate… they also sent an e-mail apologizing for the delay and saying that the response to the rebate was more than they anticipated. I got a full refund of $34.99. Just be patient.
There is a decent deal on Stouffers at CVS if you get a coupon from the coupon spitter-outer. I got a $4 off three Stouffers or Lean Cuisine about a week ago and held onto it because they were not on sale then. They are currently one sale 2 for $6, and then you get $1 ECB back on 2. There is a limit of $2 ECB (in other words, buy 4 and get $2 ECB). I used two 75 cent coupons for Stouffers in the newspaper a few weeks back as well. After ECB’s, it was about $4.50. I don’t think that’s bad for 2 Stouffer’s dinners and 2 packs of the pepperoni french bread pizzas.
