Target Family Day at the MIA. “Dreamscapes” is the theme of this month’s Target Family Day on Sunday, 9/12 from 11am-5pm. Kids and families can create their own art projects, interpret dreams or have yours interpreted at the dream interpretation booth, listen to bedtime stories and harp music, and much more. Check out the Minneapolis Institute of Arts website for more information.
The Bridal Party. Brides-to-be receive a complimentary ticket to this wedding fair/show (although they’re calling it a “party”) with the purchase of at least one other ticket by September 17 at noon. Enter the code ONLINE10 to get your discount; otherwise tickets are $15 each. When I was engaged, I went to a different wedding fair with a friend of mine (who was also getting married) and we had a great time (although the sheer number of choices was a little overwhelming).
Your turn: Former brides, did you ever attend any bridal/wedding fairs when you were engaged? Did you find them worthwhile or not?

Yep, I attended them, but didn’t get much useful info.
Best piece of advice: print out a sheet of labels with your name, address, email, phone, and wedding date to enter all the freebie contests. That way you don’t have to stop and fill out entry forms at every booth.
Great advice Shannon! I went to one already…wedding is in March. Honestly nothing I really needed as i am really doing it all myself as much as possible. But, it was great to get some fun ideas!
