Rainbow Foods, Copps, Pick N Save Shopping List 8/8 – 8/14/10

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

This week on Wednesday you’ll be able to double 10 coupons when your groceries value $25, instead of the typical 5 coupons (Restrictions apply. Read the complete rules of coupon doubling here before you get started). If you wait until Saturday they are still doubling coupons, but only 5 with a $25 grocery order. As we’ve seen other times that they allow 10 coupons for doubling, the sales aren’t that hot this week.

If you shop at Copps and your ad doesn’t match the items mentioned in this shopping list, then check out what we saw for sales last week.

Two things to remember about this list of deals. First, it does not include every sale-priced item that has a coupon. It only has those items whose final price is low enough for us to mention it. Second, it is a starting list. As we learn of more deals whose final price is low enough we will update this list. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.

New to Pocket Your Dollars? Learn to read this shopping list. If you have issues printing coupons, then try the troubleshooting suggestions found here.

Your turn: What other deals did you spot? What other coupons are you using with regular-priced merchandise since we can double 10 this week?

Comments

  1. K.... says:

The tag for the Kellogg’s deal said it was still going this week with the $2.50 prices. Cereal, poptarts, etc…

    • K.... says:

Using 10 .75/1 coupons that would make ea item free. Nutrigrain bars, cinnabon cereal. etc…
      10 items at $2.50 ea – 10 .75 coupons doubled = $10 plus get $10 back

    • Therese S. says:

WHOOOO, the Kellogg deal is working this week?

I’m glad I saved my coupons from last week.

    • Chrissy says:

Is it all the Kellogs stuff that is $2.5 or just the crackers?

      • K.... says:

The signs by the cereal, poptarts, etc said the $2.50 & $10 back goes through 8/21

        • Holly says:

Thanks for the info! I was interested in doing the Kellogg’s deal last week, but didn’t get to it!! And it’s nice to know ahead of time what some of the items are that are included!

      • Alison says:

All Kelloggs, Keebler, and Sunshine items can be mixed and matched for the buy 10 items for $2.50 each get $10 back. The flatbread crackers are included because I specifically asked and then included them in my run this morning. I don’t think the sandwich crackers were included, but I didn’t specifically ask.
You could have a great run if you used 10 $1/1 or 75 cents/1 coupons and they all doubled! Then your 2 transaction is practically free with the $10 off coupon and 10 more doubled coupons.

        • Mary says:

I was able to combine Kelloggs items too, I used the Kelloggs frozen pancake are on sale for $2, I used a $1/2 coupon from 8/8, and the Keebler 8 pack sandwich crackers are included! The Keebler 8 pack sandwich crakers ring up at $2.49, I had a $1/2 from snackpicks dot com

I came home with loads of thing we needed, friendly cashiers and very little OOP!

          • Amanda says:

Are the 8 pack sandwich crackers also $2.50….I thought they were marked $2.69 or something at my store, but it would be worth having them scan it just to see!
            Thanks!

        • jen says:

has anyone been able to find the Cinnebon Cereal at Rainbow?

  2. Jen Knox says:

The printable for Organic Valley milk is $1/2 half gallons or $1 off one gallon. There is also a $1.00 off ANY soy milk if that’s included in the sale.

  3. Jen Fink says:

The canning supplies at Rainbow are more expensive than at Walmart, even with the doubled coupons…

  4. Dawn N says:

The regular jar size lids (not wide mouth) were 1.99 so with the doubled coupon they are free. I have seen them for 2/$3 at ace hardware so it depends what you are buying for price comparisons. The rest of the supples for canning I thought would be cheaper at other stores but free is great.

  5. Brigette says:

I am new to the area and have been shopping rainbow foods…. but I heard that they do not double internet coupons…. is this true??????

    • Marla says:

I use on-line printed coupons all the time at Rainbow, they will not take any BOGO or anything that says FREE on the coupon. Hope that helps.

    • Shelly says:

Brigette – it seems like Rainbows are varying by store in regard to their dealings with internet coupons. At my St. Louis Park store they double internet coupons, and have actually still doubled coupons that say “do not double”. They have cracked down, however, on internet coupons that don’t have a visible watermark. They don’t accept them at all. Too much coupon fraud I guess. So I try to remember to check now to make sure any internet coupons I have printed have that watermark. I think Carrie has said Rainbow no longer accepts free item coupons we receive off the internet. I don’t think I’ve had one for a long time, so I can’t comment specifically on the SLP West End store for freebie coupons.

      • Melissa E says:

I went to the West End Rainbow a few months ago (just after they announced no BOGO or free internet coupons) and they do NOT accept the BOGO/free item inet coupons. They DO however, accept printed inet coupons. Not sure about the watermark though…

  6. Mary says:

I have a $1 off Charmin coupon. If I double this, is that a good price for the Charmin?

  7. Michelle says:

There is a coupon in the Smart Source 8-1 .30cents off three cans of VanCamp’s Beans.

  8. Kim says:

Does anyone know if the Keebler crackers included in the sale are the ones we have coupons for?

  9. Hope says:

Doesn’t it seem kind of weird that there is a buy 8 get $10 promotion with crackers, and then a seperate buy 10 get $10 with kelloggs products that overlap some of the same products? Any way to do a double dip on this one?? (I know, it is wishful thinking)

  10. emily says:

Free Newman’s own Lemonade! They are onsale 10/$10 and there is a $0.50 off coupon on the newmansown website. the coupon is good for 50 cents off any newman’s own product!

  11. Tracy says:

FYI, there is a disclaimer at the store for the keebler/ sunshine deal that the ad should have read when you buy ten NOT when you buy eight products.

  12. Lisa Buettner says:

The Suave Big Book rebate looks great- all you need is to print the form and fill in 4 UPC codes from the 4 qualifying products–no receipts needed! I happened to have 4 of the items on hand so mine is in the mail. The rebate is for an 80 page color activity book from National Geographic Kids.

  13. Lisa Buettner says:

Does the regular price of both items count toward your $25 when there are BOGO items?

  14. Michelle says:

Someone commented last week about the Rhodes Dinner Rolls being on sale, yes they were for$2.39.My CG stoe they were all sold out.But they are still on sale this week..The coupon is in the RP 8-8.My family loves them. They havent been on sale for $2.00 in awhile.

  15. Brenda says:

Does anyone know the shelf price of the Fiber One granola bars?

  16. Phyllis says:

Yes, Fiber One Granola Bars were $3.45 and most of the Nature Valley Granola Bars were $2.99.

  17. angela norell says:

Does the offer on Nabisco Snack Crackers ($2.50) include the Crackerfuls Filled Crackers?
    Thanks for all the tips!

    • Jennifer M. says:

Crackerfuls ARE included in the sale. Unfortunately, the coupon is a DND, so the final price is $1.50, which is still a pretty good price for these crackers.

  18. Chrissy says:

For some reason I thought the Pork Tenderloins were bigger. Makeing them more then $10 a piece. Can anyone else confirm this?

    • Brenda says:

The tenderloins ARE the big ones (around $10 each), and it’s the FILETS that are on sale BOGO. I’ve made THAT mistake before and had to go to Customer Service and return them! Make sure to read the packaging.

  19. Michelle says:

Cucumbers this week are 3/$.99; $.33 each! :)

  20. CJ says:

Last week the Woodbury Rainbow had 50% off on the recycled Reynolds aluminum foil making it $1.39. There are .75 and $1.00 coupons out there making it better than free.
They also had several Glade candle products at 50% off making it less than $2.00. So $1.00 coupons doubled make them better than free.

  21. Martha says:

The first Cetaphil coupon is out of prints. The second is still good.

  22. Marie says:

I could not find the newmans drink coupon. :( We love lemonade too!

  23. Becky says:

The complete Kelloggs deal from last week does not work at the Riverdale Rainbow. I got all the snack crackers plus 2 cinnabun pancakes and they said the cinnabun does not count. Maybe the cereal does, but they don’t carry it at the Riverdale Rainbow.

  24. Jennifer M. says:

I was at the MG Rainbow this a.m. and there is no longer Cat’s Pride cat litter for $2.19. Bummer . . . . I was going to buy some and donate to the Humane Society since I had the coupons to make it a great deal. :o(
Also, there was a correction notice by the BOGO pork fillets. The ad says save $5.99 on the deal, but the sign corrects it to something like “save up to $5.99″ . . . sorry I am not certain on the language, but I was in a hurry so just glanced at it.

    • Mary says:

I did the pork loin deal, the packages ran about 1.5 – 2 lbs in the $10 – $11 range and I got the full BOGO price. 2 for $10, and I used the $1/1 so it was down to 2 for $8!

I just got back from Rainbow and i think i got taken on the pork tenderloins. They are NOT $5.99 each, they are $5.99/lb. I bought 4, one rang up as $10.24, one at $9.34 and the other 2 were free. WIth their weights taken into consideration, they turned out to be 3.16/lb. So the $1.99 each listed above is not correct. I did buy the right ones, they say Pork Tenderloin Filet on the packaging…..

    • Melissa says:

Oops i forgot to figure in the $4 I received in doubled coupons. Total paid for 4 is $15.58. Price per pound $2.51, price for each, $3.90. Not sure if that is a good deal or not….

      • Karie says:

I spent way too much time thinking if I should buy these this morning! I decided not to, just b/c my famly doesn’t enjoy them that much and we have regular pork chops & ribs in the freezer at home.
Think of it this way, you paid approx. $2.50 a lb instead of $5.99 a lb!! 60% off

        • Carrie Rocha says:

I was bummed that they were $5.99/lb not $5.99/unit because the price isn’t nearly as good. Oh well, there is always another sale.

          • Shelly says:

Carrie – my two did end up being about $1.60 per lb, so I thought was great! That was because my Rainbow let me use two $1 off coupons for my 2 tenderloins. I don’t know if other Rainbows also allowed that. But I am very grateful you had this one in the list this week. As usual, I wouldn’t have known about the coupon!

  26. Barb says:

I received a checkout coupon thingie that says that the buy 10 get $10 off next order is for Kellogg’s Keebler, Sunshine, Eggo and/or Morningstar Farms products (3.8 ox or larger). Must be purchased between 8/1-8/14 and in the same order.

  27. Malia says:

THe Kerr and Ball canning supplies coupon is not available at that link. Is there a coupon available that you can link to?

  28. Raine says:

The Rainbow in Shoreview had their Pampers Easy Ups at 50% off, making them $5.49- I happened to have two $2 off and one $3 off coupons so that made them $2.49 and $3.49! That was for the jumbo pack with 26 in size 4. SCORE!

    • Karmen says:

The CR rainbow also has these for 50% off! Goodnights as well.

    • Andrea says:

Darn, I missed that! I was sticking strictly to my list. I will have to go back for that one, I hope there are some left. I LOVE Shoreview Rainbow, I go there for double coupons every Wednesday, usually do 2 transactions, cashiers are always friendly, I never have a problem, just love it there.

  29. Erica says:

Here are a couple things I noticed:

    - The Ball or Kerr Canning Supplies coupons from the Red Plum inserts and 8/8 Rainbow ad say “Do not double”.

    - Yoplait Go-Gurt is priced at $2.99 each this week for the BOGO Free sale. Some packages have a DND $0.55/2 x5/28/12 peelie on them.

    - The ‘Buy 3 Nature Valley Nut Clusters’ deal idea you have also prints out a Catalina coupon for $1.50 off your next order courtesy of General Mills.

  30. Michele says:

Rainbow run this morning…2 transactions…10 pork fillets…5 free, 5 doubled coupons…sandwich crackers were not posted as being part of the buy 10…bought them any way as need snacks since I run a small home daycare…received the $10 off next order…nice surprise!!! Total spent (included many more items – 41in total) $65.39 for $202.47 worth of groceries.

  31. Dawn N says:

The $1 off coupon for the Van de Camps beans says do not double. I used some of these coupons last week and they didn’t double them. Am going to try a different rainbow this week. The Rainbow store by Northtown manually put the coupons in at .50 and doubled them as they would not double the 1.00 ones that said dnd. Because they auto double they did it that way. Oh well time for a new store trip.

  32. Ellen says:

The new Kellogg’s FiberPlus cereal was not marked 4 for $10. I thought someone mentioned last week that they were part of that deal. Can someone please confirm?

Also, the Pop Tarts that are on sale for $1.99 qualify for the $10 catalina.

  33. Shelly says:

My Rainbow did allow me to use two $1 off coupons for the Hormel pork BOGO tenderloins, so that must be varying by Rainbow like so many other things. So I got two for $8.61 – $4 in doubled coupons. So just about $2.30 per tenderloin – a price I’ve not found in a long time.

Getting Kellogg/Keebler snacks for the teenagers in the house for that price was nice, too. Counting the $10 off the next order, I got 10 things for $5.00. Makes it easier to watch them eat them up alarmingly quickly!!! I was careful to just get things specifically marked for $2.50 I had five $1 off two coupons, so stuck with those items: Pop-tarts, Nutrigrain bars and Special K cereal which will get turned into those Scotcharoo bars they love so much.

Our Rainbow still had some of the Baby Butter beans in the can for 1/2 off as well. 47 cents per can.

  34. Marie says:

FYI the Kraft Home Style Mac and Cheese is 2/$4.50 ($2.25 each) and there is a $ off coupon in the 8-8 SS. The kids love this better then the regular so I wish I had more then one coupon but it’s a great deal at .25 each.

    • Melissa says:

I know not all Rainbow locations carry this product. I have looked for it multiple times at the Plymouth Station location and they don’t carry it…

    • Haila says:

If you are a member of Kraft First Taste, you can get another coupon there for this product. Some people apparently got free product coupons, but the $1 one I got worked fine for this deal.

They stock this at the Rainbow at the Quarry in NE Minneapolis.

  35. Sheila says:

Couple of things I saw at Pick n Save (WI). We love Mids Spag. Sauce and it was on sale for 2.99 with a $1.00 hangtag which doubles making it $1.00 each for a great 32oz jar of sauce. Recycled Reynolds was on closeout at our store as well for $1.50 (used 75cent c to get for free) Crackerfuls were included in the Nabisco sale and coupon doubled. Arrid and Arm & Hammer deo on sale for $1.00 each–I didn’t buy because I didn’t have coupons but if you do . . .
Good grocery shopping day! Did 3 transactions today.
    Sheila

Just want to throw this out there. If you can’t find awesome coupons for Pop Tarts you should still buy them and then go to http://moms.poptarts.com/SpecialOffers.aspx. It’s the Pop Tart rewards promo. Enter 5 reward codes from the specially marked boxes (so watch your boxes because I accidentally bought two fiber flavors that weren’t included) and you can get either a free movie ticket (up to $12) or 2 free boxes of Pop Tarts coupon by mail. There are other rewards you can pick from. **You can only enter one flavor of each. So don’t buy 5 of the same. Only one of the codes will work. I don’t know why they did this. Seems silly. Like if you are going to buy their Pop Tarts who cares if it’s 5 of the same. So I had to try some new ones this way. Each person who registers can earn up to 5 rewards. So if you didn’t have the greatest coupons at least you know you can get some extra free stuff through here. :)

Also, if you are in the Appleton/Darboy area the Calumet Copps is having a Grand Opening sale. Pair the $1/1 coupons.com Crystal Farms Cheese coupon to get it for free! I used zip 22222 if you can’t find it. The cheese is on sale for 4/$5. Saweet!

  37. Amanda says:

The regular size canning lids were 1.34 at my PNS!! so a .66MM, with a coupon right in the ad…it can’t get better than that!!

Also, I have an “extra” code for #5 Frosted Cherry Poptarts, if anyone is willing to trade. I need: 9, 11, 13-27 amandabenson82@yahoo.com THanks!

  38. Chelle says:

There is also a $2/1 any Tide liquid detergent in the September issue of Parents. :) One less coupon to double.

  39. Samantha says:

I just have to share a great deal today!

I bought 6 Nature Valley products (3 Granola Thins, 3 Nut Clusters)
    The total before coupons/deals: $19.44
    Total AFTER coupons/deals: $2.46!!!!

(That’s after $7.00 in MC: 2- $.75 off Thins, 2- $1.00 off Clusters, all doubled,
subtract one free of each for the Buy 2, Get 1 deal, AND $3.50 back for next order for buying 5+ NV products!)

  40. Linda Johnson says:

GM Nature Valley Granola Bars B2G1 deal really worked well for me! :) I ended up only paying $3.96 for 6 boxes/bags (the Clusters were included in the deal). I used 4 coupons (all doubled) for the 6 items + got the $3.50 catalina at checkout.

The Palermino $1/1 coupon doubled for me but not on the $2 pizzas. Use it on the others that are on sale for $4.99. $2.99 didn’t seem like a bad price, is it?

The TRY FREE Kellogg’s Simply Cinnamon Corn Flakes were at this store too! It’s the first time I’ve found any! :)

Plus met Shirley, a real nice Chrsitian lady, as we were walking out of the Plymouth/24 Rainbow.

  41. Linda Johnson says:

Oops! And told Shirley about POCKETYOURDOLLARS.COM! :)

  42. Cecia says:

Great day at Rainbow yesterday! Bought 10 Keebler crackers/Kellogg (nutrigrain bars, still received the $10 off), Tide, Bounty 8 pack, Charmin 24 pack, Newmans Lemonade, Cheese (not a great price $2.99 16oz), nectarines, 2 Gogurt, Apple Juice, Milk all for $25 between two transactions, saved over 70% and this was a last minute grocery list since we needed snack items and I decided to go for the Keebler deal. My Rainbow was stocked last night at 7:00pm! It was nice to not have to re-think my list last minute because the “hoarders” had hit the store before me. Thank goodness my Rainbow has done a good job of keeping up with the demand.

    • Shelly says:

Just a comment on the Tide deal. Be careful to get the right “variety”. Usually when they have a sale on the 50 oz size, you can get whatever variety of Tide you like. but when I got home, I noticed my Tide had rung up at the regular price. When I went back in, the told me it didn’t include the Downy varieties. I thought that was weird, but I’m just glad I had grabbed my bottle of Tide and brought it along rather than just bringing the receipt for an adjustment; I actually had to get a different variety!

  43. SarahBeth says:

Two more “Ongoing Deals” at Rainbow:

Beech Nut Mini Meals – $2.49 regular price

Final price: $0.49 each after doubled coupon

    Johnson’s Baby Swabs – $1.59 regular price
Use $1/1 from 6/6 Red Plum insert (**exp 8/15**)
Final price: $0.59 after coupon or FREE after doubled coupon (register will only take off the shelf price of $1.59 – so will not be a money maker)

  44. nekaya says:

The Nature Valley nut cluster was included in the buy 2, get one free deal, although when I printed my coupons, they said “do not double”

  45. Michelle says:
