Rainbow Foods, Copps, Pick N Save Shopping List 8/1 – 8/7/10

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

Hold on to your hats for one of the best week’s of grocery sales we’ve seen at Rainbow Foods, Copps and Pick N Save in months. Plus, they have extended the Saturday Double Daze promotion into October, which means they will continue to double up to 5 coupons on either Wednesday or Saturday (Restrictions apply. Read the complete rules of coupon doubling here before you get started).

If you shop at Copps and your ad doesn’t match the items mentioned in this shopping list, then check out what we saw for sales last week.

Two things to remember about this list of deals. First, it does not include every sale-priced item that has a coupon. It only has those items whose final price is low enough for us to mention it. Second, it is a starting list. As we learn of more deals whose final price is low enough we will update this list. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.

New to Pocket Your Dollars? Learn to read this shopping list. If you have issues printing coupons, then try the troubleshooting suggestions found here.

Your turn: What deal ideas are you putting together for all the special promotional buys this week?

Comments

  1. Amanda says:

There is a $1/1 off of any size clean & Clear in the PNS ad this week. If you take it to walmart or target, the trial size will be free! The coupon does say “pick n save” on it, but it also says Manufacturers Coupon, so it should work fine!

    • Amanda says:

Sorry guys–I went to use my coupons today, and I never saw the fine print “excluding trial sizes” And, I was so excited for free face wash!

  2. Sarah Burrill says:

My gosh– if I do all the deals I could do this week, it would be 10 transactions! On the Keebler/Kelloggs deal– I am wondering if I can use the $1/2 Keebler sandwich cracker Q in 8/1 RP (bigger RB)– they look like the snack size cracker. I have 5 of those so, in theory I could buy 10– probably a pretty good deal.

  3. Jennifer M. says:

There is also a $1 Cat’s Pride Q on coupons.com if you already used your 7/11 SS coupon like I did!

  4. Susan says:

“I Can’t Believe…” link does not go to that site, but to Crock’s Butter Spread.
    I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter $2.00
    Buy 2 and use $0.75/2 I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter printable
Final price: $1.25 each after doubled coupon

  5. Therese S. says:

WOW….i’m going to have to be really organized for this week’s trip to Rainbow….but oh will it be worth it!!!

  6. Kelly says:

Do you think if you buy 10 of the eggo waffles you would get the $10 catalina as well? Because with 5 $1/2 coupons and the catalina it would be free.

    • Kristi says:

      should be.

    • Carrie Rocha says:

Hmmm…maybe? The only way to know for sure is to have someone notice a sign that says they qualify or try it and see. I didn’t include them within the deal because the ad on the front page doesn’t reference them by name or even by category (aka frozen food)

    • Amanda says:

The catalina printout that I got last week advertising the upcoming deal just had it listed as “eggo”. The ad this week has it listed as “eggo syrup” ….Hmm…

    • Nancy says:

I received a catalina last week at Rainbow that says buy any 10 Kellogg, Keebler, Sunshine, Eggo and/or Morningstar Farms products (3.8 oz. or larger) between 8/01/10 and 8/14/2010 and save $10 on a future order. The Eggo waffles are definitely shown in the graphics on the catalina. 10 Eggo waffle packages should work.

      • Carrie Rocha says:

Nancy, Thanks. Someone shared that last week and I had Morningstar in my mind, but forgot about the other brands. Nice to know the wording says ANY 10 of those brands.

        • Chelle says:

I’m really hoping the waffles are included because in my ad nowhere does it say waffles. Just the syrup. Now I just need to come up with a better scenerio. I only have two of the $1/2 waffle coupons.

  7. Kelly says:

I have just noticed on other blogs people mentioning getting the catalina on the waffles but did not know if that was included at Pick n Save. I guess I will have to try it out. Maybe I’ll get the Nutrigrain bars first and use the waffles as a second transaction using the $10 catalina from the Nutrigrain. I guess I have to wait and see for Weds.

  8. Elizabeth says:

I *still* can’t find the tropicana coupon!! Do I need to give it a different zip code or something?
    Thanks!

    • Laura Wales says:

Elizabeth – I think the Tropicana coupon was up last month, but they must have taken it down at the beginning of this month since I can’t find it either.

  9. Erin says:

I have the August issue of All You magazine and a lot of the coupons listed are not included in mine. Is the mail-order version different from the one available at Wal-Mart?

    • Jenny says:

I am pretty sure they are…a couple people have told me they are as well.

    • Laura Wales says:

Erin – Sometimes the in-store All You magazines have a special insert (usually with ConAgra products) that the subscriber edition doesn’t get. I’m bummed about this, too, as I never pick up a copy in-store (especially I go to Walmart maybe twice a year) and only have a subscription. :(

  10. Amy says:

I can’t find the Banquet chicken nuggents coupon in the August All You Magazine.

  11. Sarah Burrill says:

Erin, I have this problem too– 2/3 of the time my subscription copy doesn’t have the Q’s mentioned in PYD.

  12. BrendaW says:

At Eagan Rainbow the checker knew nothing about the free P&G Grill so sent me to customer service (I think I go there every time I go to Rainbow; should just take my cart directly) and they had the tear offs up there.

  13. Jennifer says:

Daninino coupon from website will double!

  14. Amber says:

just wondering, are the Roundy’s split top chicken breasts not a good deal at $1.28/lb?

  15. Lindsay says:

Hi! I’m feeling really overwhelmed with all of the great deals at Rainbow this week. If anyone would be willing to post their Rainbows transactions for this week, it would be greatly appreciated! I can see that I’m going to want to do more than one transaction, but am just trying to come up with best way to divide them out. Thank you!

  16. Lisa says:

The Kraft shredded cheese is on sale for $2, and the $5 ONYO WYB 5 promotion goes through August 15. It brings the price to $1 a bag. I know we’ve gotten them cheaper, but I haven’t seen any Qs lately for the shredded.

  17. Jessica says:

Ummm…can’t find the Tombstone coupon on facebook. :( Anyone else had any luck with it?

  18. Melissa says:

I have a couple of questions for those in the “know”. Is the Kraft $5 off OYNO the same one that we used a couple of weeks ago with the Philadelphia cream cheese? Is it the same deal? Buy 5 bags of the shredded cheese and get $5 OYNO? Can you buy any 5 Kraft items and get the coupon?

Also what is the Eggo catalina? Something about a $10 catalina? Could someone please explain these to me? Thanks so much.

Thanks for the great website. I use it every week before I go grocery shopping. Thanks again.

    • Lisa says:

Yes, it is the same catalina. It goes until Aug 15.

    • Kierstien says:

Melissa, Yes the $5 oyno is the same promotion that was going on with the cream cheese.

The eggo catalina deal is actually listed in the ad (w/the Kelloggs cereal) I just dont think the waffles are pictured. So you just have to purchase 10 products (you can mix and match) then get a print out for $10 to be used on your next order . If i am doing more then one transaction in a day I usually will do this order first then turn around and use my $10 righ away so I dont misplace it.
      Hope this answers your question

  19. Angela B says:

I think I saw Caribou Coffee in the ad for $6.99. There’s usually a $1.00 off coupon for it on coupons.com making it $4.99. This is as low as Caribou goes in my experience. I stock up at this price.

  20. Riley says:

For the P&G grill deal, is the $25 you need to spend before coupons?

  21. Erik says:

The Frank’s Red Hot is $1.25 for the 4 oz. bottle. A 12 oz. bottle is $2.49.

  22. Andrea says:

The colgate toothbrush coupon in the July All You mag specifically excludes the extra clean toothbrush.

  23. angela norell says:

The $3 coupon for Tide Stain Release in the 8/1 Procter & Gamble includes the 36 oz liquid (in very fine print) and brings the price to $2.49. Then you don’t have to ‘spend’ a doubled coupon on this item. I bought my first bottle a couple weeks ago and it is amazing!

  24. Lisa says:

All the Con Agra coupons say “Do not double”- bummer!

  25. Karla says:

Where do we find coupons available through Facebook? I went to Lean Cuisine fb and didn’t spot it.

  26. Erica says:

The Ball Park Franks Q’s from the 8/1 Red Plum #1 insert say “do not double or triple” on them.

  27. maria k says:

    I can’t find the skinny cow coupon…

  28. trisha says:

I can’t find the printable Q-tip or Act Flouride Rinse coupons when I click on it.

  29. Alayna says:

There is a $1/1 Reddi-Whip coupon in the August All You magazine I just picked up at Walmart today. It says DO NOT DOUBLE though.

  30. Alayna says:

I can’t find the Hillshire Farms printable available online, am I just not seeing it right or do I need to enter a different zip code?

  31. kim says:

i usually skip conagra deals like this… their coupons generally start with a 9, and won’t double anyway. boo.

thanks for your scenarios. lifesavers as usual!

  32. Madison says:

Since Copps is a week behind I still have the buy 2 get 1 free sale on Kellog’s cereal. If I’m going to combine it with the catalina… does anyone know if they free ones will count towards the 10?

  33. Lisa says:

There are coupons next to the Western Dressing for $1/2. Really, you could buy 10 Western Dressings (BOGO at 2.89), double 5 of the in-store coupons, and use 5 of the in-ad free salad coupons (up to $2- bagged spinach is on sale for $2). You’d pay $4.45 and get a $5 catalina. My Rainbow does let me use 2 coupons on a BOGO. I don’t think I’m brave enough to try it, though! I like to fly under the radar!

  34. Sarah Burrill says:

    Carrie:

On the Ragu deal above, I went by shelf price at the Eagan RB, which would’ve been well above $25 — however, I can now confirm at the Eagan store anyway, it is sale price NOT shelf price that coupons are doubled at, as ours did not double ) :

  35. jo says:

Just came from Rainbow, bought 10 Eggo waffles and got the $10 catalina and 5 kraft cheese and got the $5 catalina.(Took the waffles out of the boxes to fit them in the freezer!!! Also didn’t have any coupons, which almost killed me, I hardly buy anything without a coupon , but still a good deal, my husband eats them every morning for breakfast!!)

  36. Dawn N says:

    I was at Rainbow this am and the Kraft chesse did not spit our a catalina or anything at the bottom of the rec’t. I suggest you check your rects for any catalinas or money off your next order before leaving the store. I am going to call them to see why it is missing or if anything can be done as I did two transactions;

    • Karmen says:

I had the same thing happen today and I took my cheese to CS desk and we figured out that certain products don’t trigger the catalina. For me it was the kraft 100 cal packets. She printed me a catalina at the CS desk. HTH

  37. Cindy says:

I went to Rainbow this morning and purchased 7 Morningstar Farms with numerous coupons. I didn’t realize until after reading your list that I could have had $10.00 on my next purchase if I had purchased three more of Kellogg’s. Would I be able to purchase three more on a different transation and then qualify? I thought maybe so, as they would have a record from using my Roundy’s Card (?). Any suggestions? Thanks!

  38. Scrosby1 says:

The printable coupon for the Grands biscuts are for $0.30/2, not $0.50/2.

  39. Chelle says:

Are the large Shedd’s Spread (Country Crock) included in the buy 10 Unilever deal? My ad only shows the 7.5 – 16 oz. for 2/$4 under the Unilever deal. In a different section it shows the large 45 oz. BOGO plus the $1 off wheat bread. Anyone buy the big ones and get the $5 OYNO? Same question for the Wishbone/Western dressing. I see on a different site people are mentioning all of these items in the Unilever deal. And you have them under the Unilever deal above. Hmm. So many deals so little time! I guess I always have Saturday. :)

Sorry for double posting above. My internet is being goofy.

  40. Julie says:

I know Carrie has mentioned this in the past, but just wanted to confirm: the Roundys chicken breasts on sale for $1.28/lb will actually ring up at full price to help fulfill the $25 minimum?

    • Chelle says:

This is the first time I used the chicken to ring up as shelf price instead of sale price and it worked. Boy was I nervous! I was ready to grab stuff in the checkout lol. I would have needed like $5 more worth.

  41. Korene says:

I’m new to this “mulitiple transactions” at Rainbow… can someone tell me if this will work? In my first transaction I buy 10 Kellogg’s products on sale 4/$10 coming to $25. I use 5 coupons that will be doubled and pay something less than $25 (depending on which coupons I use). It prints out a $10 catalina. Then I do my second transaction with the rest of my groceries and get additional coupons doubled if I’m over $25. Can I use the $10 catalina on my second transaction?

    • Mary says:

Yes, by doing a second transaction you can double 5 more coupons and use the $10 off you earned from the first transaction.

  42. Mary says:

There was a sign up at Rainbow for Double Double Days next Wednesday!! 10 coupons will double on 8/11 !!

  43. Michele says:

4 transactions this morning at Rainbow…$160.11 worth of groceries for $38.81. Thanks again PYD!!!!!

  44. natalie says:

Does anyone know what page the ConAgra $25 Coupon Booklet rebate that is in the August All You Magazine is on?

  45. Melissa says:

How did you guys find out about the Kraft promotion $5 OYNO when you buy 5? I’m just wondering where I can reference this deal of the $5 doesn’t automatically print out. also has anyone tried the Kraft $5 OYNO with 5 bags of the shredded cheese? Thanks.

    • Jennifer says:

Melissa. I got the Kraft Catalina last week. I found a folded coupon on a package of Kraft cheese describing the promotion and took it to the register just in case. But my catalina worked.:) Good luck!

      • Chelle says:

I also received this humungo (LOL) catalina print out explaining it. I’m prety sure it was because I bought a bunch of cheese that day. I did this deal last wk. I think I’m pretty well stocked for cheese slices until next year. :)

        • Mary says:

In the Bloomington Rainbow there was a Kraft sign by the shredded cheese today with a picture explaining the promotion

  46. Melissa says:

I went to Pick and Save this morning and saw that Western salad dressing is B1G1. It is priced for $2.29 and there are $1/2 coupons in a thingy hanging on the shelf. This would make the dressing very cheap ($.29 for 2–if my math is correct). I plan on buying 10 dressings (using 5 $1/2) and buying 5 Kraft cheeses which would bring my total over $25 so my coupons would double. My total transaction should cost $11 and then I should get a coupon for $5 OYNO. Does this sound like it will work? I hope so.

  47. Lanie says:

Does anyone know if the catalina for the Kellogg’s $10 oyno roll? (Can I use the catalina to do another Kellogg deal and get a second catalina?

  48. Melissa says:

Lanie–Yes it does roll. I did 3 transactions right in a row.

  49. Sara says:

I don’t know if any one else has mentioned this already, but you can get 8 oz Kraft Cheese (block or shredded) for $1 a bag this week. They are priced at $2 each, but if you buy 5 you get $5 for your next order. I stocked up! The $5 back is going on thru the 15th of Aug, but who knows what the cheese prices will be next week.

  50. Jennifer says:

Just to let everyone know that I just went to Rainbow and bought 2 Wishbone dressings for $2.89 (BOGO) and grabbed the bagged salad to get it for free. I had a $1.25 off coupon to use and used the bagged salad coupon. THey would not let me use the bagged salad coupon because I technically only bought one salad dressing since the other was free. When I asked at customer service she said you would have to buy 4 dressings (at 2 for free) to get the free salad.

Also to get the P&G deal (grill) with $25 + in purchases, it needs to be after coupons. I thought I would be getting a print out to send in for the grill, since I had $26 in P&G products, and nothing printed. When I asked at customer service, she said the print out only comes if you spend $25+ after coupons.
