Plum District is a daily deals site (like Adility, Crowd Cut, Groupon, and others) tailored to moms. There are plenty of deals on child and baby necessities, plus spa and entertainment offers for a mom’s night out or date night. There are daily deals for 24 different geographic areas nationwide, including the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
Today’s deal for Minneapolis/St. Paul is a half-priced movie ticket from Fandango. This means that you can get into a first-run hit movie for just $6. I’ve been watching this site for a few weeks and have seen this deal once before, so it must come around with some frequency. My husband loves the movies (and I don’t really), so surprising him with tickets will be fun!

Just a heads up…I purchased this last week thru Plum District and it is not what is seems. It is not $6 for $12 worth of tickets – the deal really is $6 for 1 regular ticket price. This means that if you go to an $8 movie you save only $2, not the 50% advertised. And you can use each code only once so any remaining dollars are lost. I did email the Plum District to clarify and they confirmed that the deal is really ‘up to $12 off a regular ticket’.
