If you’re a movie or TV buff, check out the two opportunities to see a free movie or television show premiere this week at the Theatres at Mall of America. If I lived closer, I’d definitely be checking those two deals out, but it’s just too far of a drive for me. If that doesn’t work for you, I hope there’s something else on this list that appeals to you!

Pink Fire Truck Tours in Eden Prairie. Stop by to enjoy fun for the whole family on Tuesday, August 24 from 4-9pm at Purgatory Creek Park. The evening will feature kids’ activities, live music, a silent auction, cancer survival stories and more. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
Punch Pizza. Get a free salad with your pizza purchase or take $4 off the price of a large salad when you bring in this coupon either printed out or on your smartphone. Coupon is valid August 24-25 only.
2010 Movie Study at Theatres at Mall of America. Call 952.837.8300 and ask for the Movie Study to see if you qualify to participate in a national research company’s movie study. You’ll get to see a free movie and get cash plus two free tickets for any future movie and a free movie poster. The study will be held on August 25 and 26.
“The Event” Free Screening. Download your passes here to a special screening of the new NBC series “The Event”. You’ll need to enter the code FMTYA59 to get your passes. This screening will take place at the Theatres of MoA on Wednesday, 8/25 at 7:30pm. Each guest will receive a complimentary popcorn and soda.
Schuler Shoes Free Foot Screening. Stop by one of Schuler Shoes’ eight Twin Cities locations to get a free foot screening (a $75 value) by their in-house podiatrist. You will gain more knowledge of any foot problems you may have and get suggestions on footwear that can help. My husband has had foot issues for a few years now, so we’ll definitely consider checking this out. (Thanks, Megan!)
Your turn: Were you able to get into either the free movie study or the free television show screening?

the movie study was full for my age group, they need 16-23 yearolds now !!
Wish i lived closer to the screenings!
Is the fire truck event free? I can’t see anything that talks about price…but it does say proceeds go to charity.
Sally – The event itself is free, but the proceeds from the silent auction and food purchases will go to charity.
Here’s a great one this week in Apple Valley:

We’ve been to this before, my girls LOVE it. There’s tons of blow-up bounce houses, obstacle courses, carnival games for the kids, a petting zoo, cotton candy, pop corn, hot dogs, sandwiches – everything is free. We love this event!
I love Schuler Shoes!
Movie study is full for my age group as well. I thought it would be, but it was worth a quick call to confirm.
