Judging by the comments on Carrie’s first how to get out of debt post and the finish the sentence post from Monday, many Pocket Your Dollars’ readers have been positively influenced by the work of radio/TV host and financial guru Dave Ramsey and his Financial Peace University.
Financial Peace University is a 13-week course in which attendees are instructed in how to achieve their financial goals. Topics covered include saving, cash flow planning, eliminating debt, being a smart consumer, investing and more.
If you’re interested in attending a Financial Peace University course and/or hearing Carrie speak, she will be teaching on opening night of an FPU course at the VFW Post 494 in Crystal on Monday nights from 7-9pm. The first night of this course is this upcoming Monday, 8/23 and Carrie will be talking about saving money on groceries as a part of the initial session, “Super Saving.” On 9/13, Carrie will be sharing some of her and her husband Marco’s getting out of debt story as part of the session on “Dumping Debt.”

We attended 6 years ago! Dave is so motivational (and humorous) you start to believe that you can make a difference in your spending/savings (and see it actually happening) I highly recommend this to anyone. The $99 bucks is nothing when you realize you just needed a kick in the pants to do it! Sometimes you just need someone to map out the plan, and this is what he does for you.
