After a few rather lackluster weeks at Walgreens, we’re back in business with several freebies, including contact solution, multivitamins, disposable razors, and some great deals on school supplies. If you’re new to Walgreens shopping, then learn how the Register Rewards program works and learn how to read this shopping list. Don’t forget that some other stores will accept Register Rewards like a manufacturer’s coupon.
This is a starting list of deals for the week and is not a comprehensive list of every sale item and its coupons, but just the best deals (things at prices I’d actually pay). As readers leave comments with bargains they found at their local store, we get emails with deal ideas, or we read about other deals across the blogosphere, we will update this list. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.
Helpful hint: Walgreens is the one store where an advertised sale like “2 for $4” usually requires you to buy two products. The first one rings at full price and the second product will ring at a lesser price to bring the total to $4, using our example. If you ever question whether you need to buy two to receive a sale price, ask the cashier to scan one item for you. If it rings at full price, then you know you need to buy two products. If it rings at the sale price, then you don’t.
Your turn: What’s the best deal you got this week at Walgreens?

That’s a long list–thanks, Carrie :)
I have been using the Xcel laundry detergent for the past year and have been very pleased with the results.
Ditto-I’ve had no problems with it either. Cleans well, has a pleasant scent.
I have an 11yr old son who hasn’t met a mud puddle or sand pile he doesn’t like and just about any “cheap” laundry soap works well if you add something like Tide Stain or Clorox 2. It works just fine.
Thanks, Carrie! The past few weeks HAVE been pretty boring, but I am excited for this week!!
$1.00 Alive Multi-vitamin coupon available at http://www.feelalive.com/
Thanks Betsy!
I have the pampers 08-01 insert if anyone could use them. I always throw those away since I don’t have kids. If someone could really use them, I’d be happy to send them out! I wouldn’t even expect a coupon trade! E-mail me, first person gets them. MNGoodie@gmail.com
Is the playtex deal not a good price? I have a 2/$ 2.50 which brings it to $1.25 each with the $3 RR (if I did my math correctly). Also, looks like with our $1/1 coupon for tide the price will be better at Rainbow with Double Daze.
Question: I have been following pyd for several months (love it – thank you!) and have been wondering about diapers. I am not brand loyal, but still have not seen a listing that is within Carrie’s “buy” price. I default to the Target brand, but I did the math and the diapers are still over $.10. Am I missing something because I’ve got two in diapers and the cost is really digging into my coupon savings. Thanks.
There is a deal right now on amazon where you can get up to 50% off diapers if you select their subscribe and save option (which you can immediately cancel) and also use the 20% off code from the August or September Parents or Parenting magazines. There are also some online coupons available for Pampers (through amazon). This is where I got my last box of diapers for 9 or 10 cents each. There was also a deal at CVS last week where you could get a box of 92 size one diapers for $10 (or much less if you had the CVS coupon for $4.50 off). And there was a similar deal on Huggies at CVS a few weeks back. It’s been quite a while since Walgreens has had a really good diapers sale though.
Carrie
The rebate for the crayola washables does not mention any limit for submissions. Are you aware of a limit per person or household?
My rebate form says limit one per household or address. So excited, b/c the 15% off discount is paying for my stamp, so these markers really are free!
I COMPLETELY agree with Amy. I have only ever ONCE found diapers for 10 cents and actually it was my husband who found those. So I am always at a loss to find 10 cent diapers. HELP!
$5/1 Rembrandt printable is out of prints.
My CVS now has a limit of six items for a bogo sale! I am going to have to try some other ones. They didn’t have this rule last time and I have a ton of these sobe coupons to use!
oops wrong thread!
I also have pampers coupons I will not be using if anyone needs them I can mail them to you. I have some 1.50 and 3.00 off ones as well. Email me at smarie05@msn.com
the pampers coupons are taken now.
I have been looking for Fiskars scissors lowest price, and this is by far the cheapest I have found
Agreed. They were $0.99 at walmart the first week school supplies were out but haven’t seen close to that yet. Our school supply list specifically has fiskars too so I’ve been watching.
I can’t seem to find the Energizer hearing aid printable. Is there a particular zip code that I should use?
I found it in the heath care section.
Katie – You shouldn’t need to enter a zip code at all. It’s under “Household” and says “Sign Up and Save off one (1) package of Energizer Hearing Aid batteries” (a little different from the normal coupons on Coupons.com).
Just noticed the Skinny Cow stuff is on sale at Walgreens for $2.99 each, limit of 4. That is the cheapest I’ve ever seen them. My mom eats one of the Skinny Cow Truffle bars every day, she will be very excited when I show up tomorrow with 4 boxes!
Has anyone tried the Bic Soeil deal that Carrie has listed above (with the 2 coupons)? Just wondering if you need to hand the coupons in a certain order for this one to work….
Did the bic deal today; I didn’t think it would work, but I bought 4; the clerk took off two charges of $5.99 for the bogo, and then the two $3.00 off coupons. The coupon stated that you would need to buy a second of razor equal or lesser value, which seems to me would be the half price one, but it all worked out fine. Personally, I still don’t get how it happened that way – I’m guessing a nice clerk.
It worked for me today :)
I think the cashier took off the $3 one first, then the bogo.
On the Organix Shampoo/Conditioner “possible” rebate, I did this when it was listed at Rainbow several months ago. There was a rebate “try me for free” on the bottle; I followed all the rules and got “stiffed.” So, I very hesitant for this particular deal. Just my thoughts…
I also followed the rules and thankfully received my rebate. Sorry that you didn’t! Did they tell you why?
I sent in my rebate at the end of March and didn’t get it until the end of June…took 3 months to get the check. Was suprised when I got it cuz I thought I got stiffed too!
I applied for 2 different rebates through 2 different redemption centers and have not received my rebate from either location. I like the product, but probably won’t purchase it again because of it!
:(
I also got my rebate from this company but it did take awhile. I kept a list of rebates I was waiting for and so far have not been stiffed, although I am fairly new to this!
I found a taker for my diaper coupons!
I have used the Xcel Laundry soap or similar cheap laundry soap for years. My husband does Appliance repair and sees a lot of issues from people using to much detergent. (both front & top loaders) If you see suds in the laundry tub after the machine has completed all its cycles, you probably aren’t getting all the soap out. Also 6 years ago when we finally bought a home that had a dishwasher; he instructed me to ONLY buy Cascade Complete(never the liquid). Just a little info to save on some repair bills.
Shoot, I just get back from my Walgreen’s trip and found out about a new coupon too late for me to use it, but maybe you other Pocketeers can. On Walgreen’s Facebook page there is a coupon for 15% off in-store purchase and 20% off Walgreen’s brand products, good thru Aug 2-4 only.
Hi Andrea,
Thanks for the coupon tip! I was just logging on to make my list and will go there tonight. Thanks!
I went to Walgreens today and they were out of every single thing on my list. They suggested I go to another Walgreens, but frankly I am getting tired of this. I had the same problem last week at Rainbow. These stores advertise things knowing they don’t have enough stock to cover the demand, figuring we will buy something anyway. Not me, I left with nothing.
There were multiple displays of the Complete, and some of them had $1.00 off peelies. In the Walgreens I was at, the ones in the “eye department” didn’t have the peelies.
Yep. I found the boxes with the peelies in the excess storage area they have up on the top shelf + I used my 15%/20% off friends and family discount I got in an email. :) I bought both of the crayola rebate items today in 1 transaction and only got one rebate form. :( Shucks, I wasn’t thinking.
Stay cool everyone! ~Cherie
Has anyone received their excersize CD from the SELF magazine promotion that Walgreens was running?
nope, not yet at least
I linked to your site – what a great list!
Thanks for all your hard work:)

On the microwave popcorn this week (2/$5.00) and then a $1.00 RR….on the inside of the popcorn box, there is a coupon to save $1.25 if you buy 1 box of popcorn and 1 bag of M&M’s (also 2.$5.00).
You need to buy 2 of those items in order to get the RR.
Talking about nothing left at Walgreens. I went to a garage sale a couple of weeks ago and the tables were full of the items that have been free the last few months at Walgreens and other stores. They had dozens of items. It makes me sad that some people are taking advantage of the coupons for profitable reasons. I hope they don’t spoil it for the rest of us.
Wow, that is crazy!
I went to a Walgreens for the first time because it is next to my fave CVS. Never again, out of everything. So I drove the 3 miles north and went to my trusty Walgreens. Had every single thing on my list!
The Huggies 2.50/3 expires 8/17, so use it this week or next!
I just came back from my trusty Walgreen’s and got most everything on my list. OK, some of the cheap school supplies were gone, but it is Wednesday!!! Also be aware if you use the 15% coupon, most of the “deal ideas” for your RR will not work because they discount each item before the total. Still I saved more than the amount of RR I would have otherwise gotten.
Nivea Touch of Sparkle body was was on sale (unadvertised, I think) BOGO. They were $5.99 and had stickers on them that said $1.00 off at checkout. I had my $4/2 coupons with me, and asked the clerk about it. She said that just meant that they had coupons for it at the cosmetic counter (they always have a whole box of coupons for the asking there.) She went ahead and used my coupon and one of hers, because she said she could only use two, so they were five cents each after subtracting the 15 percent. If your store only lets you use the $5.00 coupon, they would only be 55 cents each. I’d never used it before I visited my daughter because I thought maybe it might make you shine/shimmer and/or sparkle, but I haven’t noticed anything like that. I don’t know about you guys, but I can only seem to get men’s body wash for free, never women’s.
I meant to say if your store only lets you use the one $4/2 coupon; I didn’t mean to say $5.00 coupon.
Thanks so much for the info went to my local walgreens last night got three things of diapers + 3 free wipes for $10.17 after 15% off, coupons and RR. Good deal for me since my daughter fits best in pampers.
