Staples School Supply Shopping List 7/11 – 7/17/10

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

Staples has rolled out their first round of school supply deals with a variety of $0.01 and $1.00 promotions. This year you’ll need to spend $5 on other merchandise in order to take advantage of the penny deals, but with all the dollar deals that shouldn’t be hard. If you plan to buy a lot of items, then use this $5/$30 Staples in-store purchase printable coupon and browse these percentage off printable coupons.

Browse Staples weekly ad or find a Staples near you.

Your turn: What is your “buy” price for different school supplies? We’d like to put together a list, but since we have small kids we aren’t as expert at it as many of you.

  1. Alison says:

I bought 2 reams of paper, the folders and the pencils and since the reams of paper require a mail in rebate, those qualified as my minimum $5 purchase. Total spent after I receive the rebate back? 14 cents. I’m liking Staples!

  2. Cheri says:

I was hoping to buy the two reams of copy paper and submit for the rebate to qualify for the minimum to get those penny items. It doesn’t have the $5 minimum listed with the copy paper. It says submit for easy rebate. That won’t work?

  3. Tony says:

In my local flyer there was also a coupon for $5 off a $30 purchase.

If you buy 2 of the photo paper and 2 of the $0.01 pencils, you end with a money maker deal, noted below:
    Staples 8.5 x 11 Suprememe photo paper x 2 = $29.98
    #2 Yellow Pencils (8pk) (item #676407) x 2 = $0.02
    —————————————————————
    Total $30.00
    - $5 off $30Q = $25.00
    Submit for rebates of $27.98

I added 2 of the Staples Multi-Purpose Paper to my order, higher out of pocket cost initially but still a money maker with the rebates.

  4. Kathy says:

If you purchase a few of the sale items and the 2 reams of paper for the rebate to get to $25 you can use the $10/$25 Office Max coupon at Staples and get $25 of stuff for $5!

  5. Lisa says:

Do you have to spend the rebate at the store or it is a prepaid card to use anywhere?

  6. Tony says:

I think the photo paper rebate is a prepaid Visa card, the multi purpose paper is a paper check. In both cases, you can spend it anywhere, not just limited to Staples.

  7. Lisa says:

    Thanks so much!

  8. angel p says:

does anyone know where you can buy pencils that are made in the USA? Our daughter’s school specifically lists those on her school supply list and their supplies are pooled. I’ve checked Wal-mart, CVS and WAGS. Staples isn’t close by for us but if they’ve got the pencils, it might be worth a trip.

  9. Marcie says:

    Angel P-
Dixon Ticonderoga Pencils are made in the USA.

  10. Lisa says:

I LOVE Staples! Used the $10/$25 Office Depot coupon and then submitted my rebates online – so easy!! I actually made some money on the deal :)

  11. Amy says:

Where did you find the Office Depot coupon
