Here’s my question –
I am unsure if I need to print and fill out 5 separate Mail-In Savings forms and put them all in the same envelope w/ the receipt in order to get back 24.95 (4.99 each, limit five Mail-In Savings per household) for the five Purell’s I purchased, OR if just filling out 1 Mail-In Savings along with the receipt noting that I purchased five Purell’s is the way to go. Does anyone know? Carrie? Laura??

Alisha — The coupon can be used as many times as the cashier will permit. There is one issue with using this coupon on software: While the coupon code itself is valid for purchases of technology and software, etc., the terms of the coupon explicitly exclude technology and software, so it is possible that the cashier, upon reading the terms of the coupon, will refuse to enter/scan the coupon code even though if it were entered/scanned it would work.
Now, as to coupon usage and rebates:
Most rebates do not have any terms reducing the rebate value for using a coupon. Examples include:
—- rebates processed by OD’s rebate processor (Young America/web-rebates) and funded by OD (rebates #ODnnnnnnn such as Corel $30 rebate #OD7102556)
—- most rebates processed by OD’s rebate processor (Young America/web-rebates) and funded by the manufacturer (rebates #nnn-nn or #nnn-n such as Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010 $30 rebate #441-61)
—- most rebates processed by Parago and funded by the manufacturer (rebates #nn-nnnnn like Norton Online Backup rebate #10-29170; notable exceptions being AVG and McAfee rebates; Trend Micro rebates generally have a $25 min. purchase requirement which is easily met)
—- and then the various rest.
Even with Parago rebates that have terms such as “Rebate value will not exceed purchase price” it is not necessarily enforced, especially if the purchase price circled on the receipt is pre-coupon.
Generally, the worst that will happen, and this happens very infrequently, is that the total rebate(s) paid out for the title will be reduced by the coupon (or pro-rated) coupon amount.

Many of the free-after-rebate software programs offered by Office Depot are actually “Freeware”. These same programs can be downloaded for free from many reputable web sites such as CNET.com
Jeffery — at cnet all I see are trial-ware and “free” versions of a couple of titles. To boot the “free” versions have reduced feature sets.
