
4 Nights in Loring is a series of free music and movie events in Loring Park that will be held on Tuesday nights in August. Bands from the Twin Cities will be showcased, followed by a movie selected by Twin Cities residents (voting will take place on the City Pages website from June 28-July 19.
Wild Rumpus Pajama Party on the Trolley. This hugely popular event will take place on Thursday, July 15 at 6:30 and 7:30pm. Enjoy milk and cookies at the Linden Hills Station by Lake Harriet and then ride the trolley to Lake Calhoun for bedtime story time. There will be two separate rides. Tickets are $5 each and are available by phone only (612.920.5005) on Monday, July 5 starting at 5:30pm.
Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Bring your kids ages K-6 to a free studio workshop series with MIA artist instructors. This summer’s theme is called Power of Ten and relates art with math. The workshops are held at many different parks in Minneapolis starting July 6 and running into August. A schedule of park dates and times is here. (Thanks, Minneapoless!)
The Links at Northfork Golf Course in Ramsey. Want to take your kids golfing? Kids age 18 and under play free after 5:30pm every day when accompanied by a paid adult. Plus, join their birthday club to receive a free round of golf on your birthday.
