Ah, the weekend. I’m looking forward to enjoying the beautiful weather and hearing some friends of mine from college play some music on Sunday in Wisconsin. Other than that, I hope that Spalon Montage picks me for a free makeover (see below) as I am in desperate need of a new look. Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Victory Links Golf Course. The Customer Appreciation Night that I highlighted earlier has been rescheduled for July 30 from 6-8pm at the National Youth Golf Center in Blaine. MN Lynx Catwalk for the Cure. Get your face painted, meet the Minnesota Lynx basketball team, and watch them strut their stuff in a fashion show to raise awareness and money for breast cancer research in Minnesota. This event takes place at Macy’s Court in the Mall of America from 2-5pm on Saturday, July 31. (Thanks, Minneapoless!)
5th Annual Paws on Grand. Shops, restaurants, and other Grand Avenue business are celebrating the Dog Days of Summer on August 1 from 12-4pm by offering dogs and their owners great sales, treats, and water for the pets. Go to GrandAve.com for a full list of activities.
ClubKid Parents’ Night Out. On Saturday, July 31 from 5-9pm, bring your child(ren) to ClubKid of Minnetonka for carnival snacks, games, and art while you and your spouse take some time for yourselves. ClubKid offers hourly childcare for children 16 months through 10 years of age with rates starting at $8/hour. No appointment or reservation is needed.
Minnesota Fringe Festival Bubble Painting Party at Kiddywampus will be on Wednesday, August 4 from 11:30am-1:30pm. Kids can participate in art projects and enjoy free snacks, toy giveaways and silliness galore. This event is free to the first 50 kids who RSVP by calling 952.926.7871.

Spalon Montage. Post a “before” picture of yourself on the Spalon Montage Facebook page to enter to win a free makeover. If you are chosen, you will need to be able to travel to one of the Spalon Montage locations in Chanhassen, Edina, or Woodbury the week that you are chosen. For this round, post your picture by midnight on Sunday (8/1). Winners will be notified by 5pm on Tuesday (8/3).
