Target Shopping List 6/27 – 7/3/10

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

As you get started shopping at Target we’d recommend getting familiar with Target’s price matching policy and Target’s coupon policy. You may want to bring printouts of these with you to the store. If you are new to Pocket Your Dollars learn how to read this shopping list or troubleshoot problems when printing coupons.

Target fanatics should check out the ever-changing supply of Target online coupons, be sure to sign up for Target’s text messaged coupons and browse Target’s weekly ad online.

Your turn: What other deals did you snag at Target this week? Are there on-going deals listed here where the price cut has expired or the coupons are no longer available? (Let us know so we can keep this list clean.)

On-Going Deals (Previously listed)

These items are listed from lowest final price to highest (and then my totally anal-retentive self ordered items that have the final price from lowest to highest starting price and then a third sort alphabetically. I say that only so you can tease me about my extreme love for patterns and ordered lists). Please leave a comment if a printable coupon is out of prints or the product is no longer at the specified price (maybe it was a temporary price cut?) and will update the list to reflect that.

Comments

  1. JoAnna says:

If you don’t mind shopping on a busy Saturday or Sunday you should go–there are usually good coupons to be had with the samples they hand out.

  2. Marie says:

FYI The Breyers Icecream was 2.34 for the 1.5 quart size at Rogers Target. There was also a $.60 off two coupon in the SS or RP this week (I can not remember which) and then I also got a target mailer with a $1 off the bryers. I personally think that 2.34 for GOOD ice-cream is a great price, and plan to go back for more later in the week.

  3. Maria says:

I just got a “no prints available” for the $1.50 off Cottonelle at Target.

  4. Amy says:

Anyone know what Target stores have the Cascadian Farms granola bars on clearance? I have checked out the Spring Lake Park and Coon Rapids Target and they are full price. We love Cascadian Farms and would love to get them at a lower price.
    Thanks!

  5. Maria says:

Also, Johnson Baby Prod Q is in the 6/6 RP, not the SS. I couldn’t find the toilet bowl drop-ins on the Target Q site.

  6. lorrie says:

Pantene styling stuff is on Price Cut for $3.59. Use the $2 off coupon from Sunday’s paper plus $1 off Target Coupon from Sunday’s paper. :)

    • Katy says:

which insert is the $2 pantene q in? I found the Target one, but not the manufacturer one.

      • lorrie says:

If my memory serves me correctly, I think it was in the Parade insert. There were several Pantene coupons. I hope I am right!

    • Mary says:

I was able to use the B1G1 from the parade magazine, plus the $2 manuf. coupon, plus the $1 target! Maybe I could have used 2 $1 target, but I am happy with 2 products for 50 cents!

  7. Kate says:

That’s a really good price on Pampers…the “regular” priced $19.99 and $29.99 packs work out to be just about the same price per diaper, so coupons and a gift card make it a good deal. The price per diaper will vary because the bigger the size the fewer in the box there are.

Sadly for us (from a money-saving perspective), my twin girls leak like nobody’s business in Huggies, so we are a Pampers family all the way.

    • Kristi says:

I never had luck w/ huggies either, to me no matter what the outside felt damp. Pampers & luvs worked wonderful.

    • Stacy says:

The Target brand diapers are awesome and for a big pack of size 4 that includes 82 diapers is only $13.79 which comes out to $0.16 a diaper. I think that’s a pretty good price and you don’t even need coupons or deals. They by far are the best diapers I have used; hardly any leaks. They did change their diapers about 2 years ago and since then they have been much more absorbent.

  8. Lisa says:

The Carefree printable is for the Ultra Protection product, not sure if that is going to work on the regular liners?

    • Bethany McCorkle says:

At the Target on Robert St, they let me use the Carefree Ultra Protection Q for the regular liners. So they were free!

  9. K.... says:

Luvs will be a good deal. I’m not positive on the current shelf price- $6.99? But there was a $2 manu coupon this week & a $1 Target coupon in the extra Target coupon flier that was in the Sunday paper so that would be $3 off per pack.

  10. Melissa says:

There are target Q’s for the mayo also for 1$ off two that would make it .75$ each not bad for deviled eggs and so forth

    • Bethany McCorkle says:

I didn’t see the Target Q. If it is online, what is your zip code?

      • Jessica says:

These coupons are in the 4/25 Target insert that we received in Minneapolis. They do expire on 6/30 .
I paired the $1/2 Best Foods or Hellman’s with the manufacture coupon noted above.
        So:
        Buy 2 @ $1.99
use $1.00/2 Target coupon from 4/25 Target insert
        use (2) $.75 coupon from 6/27 RP
final price: $1.30 for 2 or $.65 each

        Other deals:
        Wishbone Salad Dressing $1.67
$.75/1 Target coupon from 4/25 Target insert
        $.75/1 coupon from 6/27 RP
        final price: $.17 after coupons

        I didn’t see any q-tips for $1.89 but I did do this:
        Q-Tips Cotton Swabs $3.14
        Use $1/1 Q-Tips printable
Use $1/1 from 4/25 Target insert
        Final price: $1.14 after coupon

There were also match ups for the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream & the Breyer’s ice cream in the 4/25 Target insert with this week sales + manufacturer coupons but I don’t have any more room in my freezer for ice cream. :)

  11. Barbara says:

No John Frieda coupons on target site, must have pulled that one.

  12. Bethany McCorkle says:

How can you print more than one target coupon? Is there a trick?

    • Erin says:

Just click the boxes next to each one you want to print. You can navigate to different sections and they will all still print once you click the print button.

      • Bethany McCorkle says:

I mean, can you print more than one of the same product coupon? For example: can I print two Dove deodorant coupons?

        • Amy says:

You can print two per computer. It doesn’t work to just hit the back button though. You have to go back to the coupon page, check the box for that coupon again and then print. I’ve found that sometimes it pushes that coupon to a different page. For example, if it was on the 2nd page of coupons the first time I printed it, it may be on the 3rd or 4th page now.

  13. Sheena Cook says:

When I went to the Degree girl coupon last week it was out of uses.

  14. Shauna says:

Barbara, I found the John Frieda, but had to click on Beauty at the left.

  15. sally says:

The Lino Lakes Target has been out of Vanish drop-in for two weeks. also the $3 TQ for the scrubbing Bubbles starter is not on the site. I was at Target last night for the Rimmel Mascara & had to pay $2.99.Not $2.24.

  16. Erin says:

For the Schick Hydro rebate, I’m wondering if they’re only going to give a rebate of $3.24 rather than $7.24 (which is the price of the Hydro 3, not $6.99). On my receipt it printed:
    Schick $3.24
    MFR Coupon $5.00-
    Coupon $4.00 off $7.24
I’m hoping for the full $7.24… I circled that as the price because the rebate form states “circle date and PACKAGE price.” Does anyone know what Schick will do?

  17. Lisa says:

I think rebates always are for the full retail price of the item, regardless of what coupons you may have used. At least that’s been my experience. I haven’t gotten the check for the Schick rebate yet.

  18. Molly says:

There is a $2.50 off 5 12 pack pepsi products in the cub add. It says that it is a mf coupon. Target has there pop for I think it was 1.99. anyone know if we can use the mf coupon at target this week to get a better deal on pop?

    • Jessi says:

I have used mfg coupons that are in the Cub ad at Target in Stillwater. The cashier questioned it, but when I pointed out that it was a mfg coupon, she took it.

    • Shelly says:

Molly, I did that last time Cub had a similar soda sale with the manuf. coupon (probably right before Memorial Day). I told them I wouldn’t do it if it wasn’t okay, and a manager had to come approve it. But I felt kind of funny about it and decided not to do it this time around. It seems like Cub prices their soda at a certain amount to make it come out to that certain price ($1.48) after that particular coupon. Target has theirs priced cheaper than Cub in the first place. But, if Target is getting reimbursed for $2.50 per coupon by Pepsi, maybe it’s okay? I’d like to know the thoughts on this one. Just something about it left me feeling a little uneasy… Target was so nice as usual, though.

      • Sue says:

I did the same at Target last time Cub had the coupon – I think it was $2.00 off 4. They told me that as long as the coupon had the info on it as to where they submit it, etc. they take them, and they did. I see this time the Cub pop mannufacture coupon doesn’t have that information on it.

I used the $2.50 off 5-12 packs Pepesi (Cub/Manu coupon) at the Rogers SuperTarget yesterday. The cashier called over the manager and she OK’ed it. Plus, I had a $1.00 off a 12-pack. So, I thought $1.29/12-pack was a GREAT deal, I think the best I’ve ever gotten! Thank you Carrie!

    • SHANNON O says:

If you do the math it makes the pop the same price as at cub anyway.

    • Priscilla says:

I was able to use it at my Super Target today!

Yesterday i tried to use a CAT manufacturer coupon that i got at rainbow at target and they refused it saying it was a rainbow coupon. i told two different people (my cashier and the front end person she called) that it was a manufacturer coupon and not a store coupon, but they really didn’t seem to care much since it had a rainbow logo on the coupon.
I was nice and just asked them to take the item off my order……………funny thing is it scaned fine, she noticed the store name and said oh i’ll have to take this off cause it is a rainbow coupon…………
I was wondering if other people have had this experience, want to know if it is worth it to talk with customer service or just take my purchase of those items elsewhere

    • JoAnna says:

Anna–corporate doesn’t seem to care much but maybe try emailing the STL (store manager–get the address from the operator or guest service). Otherwise, I would take those purchases elsewhere (and I am a Target addict).

    • Hilary says:

yeah i had the same thing happen at the woodbury store.

Off the subject of Target but wanted to get this out there b4 the Open Mic night in case it was to late…
I went into Michael’s craft store today and they had a large cart full of “grab bags” for 2.00 each. Each bag was one of the store’s plastic merchandise bag and they were FULL! We got over 78.00 worth of stuff (once added up from clearance stickers still on the items) and again only paid 2.00! Lots of neat stuff like notebooks, party invites, stationary, rubber stamps, misc scrapbook items, pencils, erasers, printable jewelery boxes, and on and on…I will admit we did get some things like 2 coconut bird houses that were not to exciting but over all well worth the 2.00 to me! Now we have party grab bag items, school supplies, and the always needed scratch paper!

Was at a Super Target ealier today and they had choice angus tbone steaks on sale for 3.99/lb. Usual price is 9.89/lb. Lowest I’ve seen tbones in a while. Just wanted to pass it on.

  23. Molly says:

There is a 2 dollar off pampers boxed diapers Target Coupon in the 6/27 Redplum flyer. Makes for more savings on the pampers this week. Thanks for all the great tips.

  24. Steph says:

I was at the Andover Target this morning and the Pepperidge Farms deli flats were $1.99, making them $.99 after the coupon. My family loved them, I will definitely be buying them again.

    • Bethany McCorkle says:

For the Pepperidge Farms Deli Flats: If you use the $0.60/1 that was in the paper and the $1/1 target printable, then it should be $0.39 after sale and coupons.

  25. sally says:

I tried to get the target leap frog coupon & there is no toys on the site. Anyone else had this problem?

  26. sally says:

I was at target in Lino Lakes last night & they have the vanish drops ins. $2.14

So frustrated with the Roseville Target. I planned to use the free Edy’s bars with $50 grocery purchase today. After spending time carefully matching up sales with Qs and wandering through the aisles for over a half hour, they were out of the Edy’s bars. I was surprised that they didn’t offer a coupon for a future Edy’s, substitute a product, or anything. All they said was they should have some in tomorrow. Which means, put all your groceries away and do it again tomorrow… Am I justified in being upset, or is it not that big of a deal? I figure if you’re going to make a special flyer in the Sunday paper to promote you grocery division, you need to be prepared. I asked for them to please put my cart of groceries away and returned $100 worth of home purchases. All this over a $3 ice cream product.

    • Jessi says:

I would have asked if I could come in tomorrow with my receipt in order to get the free product.

    • jen says:

      Lisa,
      Sorry this happened to you.
The Maple Grove store was out on Sunday and they were doing a number of different things. I got 2.99 off of my order instead of the bars. The person I talked to said the local store was not aware it was going to be in Sunday’s paper. Hope this helps you a little.

I have heard rumors last week’s SOBE deal is still on– can anyone confirm or deny?

  30. susan says:

I went to Apple Valley Target last night – Betty Crocker brownie mixes were not on sale; they did not carry Red Baron Pizza by Slice (I could not find so I asked employee); Green Giant vegetables were not on sale. Very frustrating. Do sales vary by store?

    • Jenn B says:

I just posted about the AV Target too…they seem to NOT carry many items that are listed by Carrie.

  31. sally says:

I just went to print the rebate form for scrubbing bubbles & it says sorry this promo has ended. Can anyone send me a form? Send to sak42116@msn.com. Thanks everyone.

  32. Jenn B says:

I live in Apple Valley, so I regularly shop at the Apple Valley SuperTarget and have had issues with them not having certain products and prices they end up charging at the register. For example, last Saturday I purchased the $2 Clean and Clear and had the $2 coupon. They ended up charging me $6.49 and of course I wasn’t watching the screen when they rung everything up, so I missed it until I got home. They also charged me $10.99 for the Schick razors instead of $7.99 like it was marked on the shelf. I went to the customer service desk last night to try and get my money back and they told me that these 2 products were never on sale for the prices I suggested. Very frustrating!! Does anyone else ever run into these problems??

  33. susan says:

I tried Burnsville Target – same story for Red Barron pizza (don’t carry) and Betty Crocker brownies and Green Giant vegetables (not on sale)

  34. SOFI says:

the monticello target don’t have the red barron pizza by the slice neither , and they were out of deli flats since monday very upset !!

  35. Erin says:

You can get a great deal on 8 packs of Boost Kid Essentials. They are $9.79 (regular price). Carrie has a B1G1 printable manufacturer coupon on her coupon database and Target has a web coupon for $3/1 (or they were also sent in the mail a while ago with other baby coupons). I used two Target web coupons so my total for both 8 packs came to $3.79. This was okay to use two web coupons for a B1G1 deal since the B1G1 was a MC, right? I always try to be ethical and assume this is okay. The cashier didn’t have a problem with it.

    • JoAnna says:

      Erin-
I believe that all Target printables state one per transaction but if the cashier didn’t stop it and the register didn’t then it’s kinda OK. I’m sure you didn’t do it on purpose and in the long run they will probably not process a q they should so it will even itself out.

  36. Beth says:

FYI- there are young reader classics at Target in the dollar spot for $1. I think this is a good price for new books.

    I picked up…
    A Little Princess
    Peter Pan
    The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn
    Oliver Twist
    The Wonderful World of OZ
    The Story of Doctor Dolittle

The covers all match and are nice looking paperback books. Reading levels on the ones I choose range from 3.4-4.0. If you buy one you could add a bookmark and beverage such as instant lemonade mix to encourage summer reading or for an inexpensive birthday gift for your child’s friend. You could buy more and give it as a set for the holidays. Use them for stocking stuffers. These are perfect for my 7 year old and I just couldn’t wait to give them to her. She will be reading them once through then donating them to her class for their “share” class library. She attends a year round school so she is reading the little princess for her daily at home reading time right now. It’s already helped to increase her vocabulary.

The books were on the bottom shelf and not in a “jump out at you” type location. I almost completely over looked them. Then I noticed Huckleberry Finn and got excited. Mark Twain was one of my favorite authors when I was younger. These are even illustrated. My daughter loves when her chapter books have pictures.

We enjoy the “PAWS” for reading at the Shoreview library. They have a therapy dog that children can read to by appointment. My daughter will be reading Dr. Dolittle for our next session. This could be a very encouraging experience for your little animal lover if they are reluctant to read out loud. I struggled in the early years with reading and wished they would have had a program like this back then.

Just some random thoughts. Hopefully this is useful information for someone out there.

    • Alice says:

I don’t really have any young readers in my life, but I enjoyed your post, Beth! :)

I may try to pick up some of these books for my own collection…

    • Beth says:

      Hey Alice,

Just wanted to let you know… My daughter was reading part of one of her books out loud to me and I realized that these are condensed or edited to fit younger readers. The plot and the style attempts to hold as true as possible to the original story. I still think these are a good introduction to classic literature for children which they can read on there own. She’ll be familiar with the character’s and storyline for when she’s ready to read the original novels. Just wanted to let you know so your not disappointed. I was for a few moments, then I realized how much my daughter was enjoying reading them. And she’s even excited to talk about the books. Even though she doesn’t struggle with reading, sometimes I have difficulty getting her to do her mandatory daily reading time. I have not had this problem since she started reading The Little Princess. I’m still happy that I choose to pick these up for her.

    Question…

    Looking at the Luvs deal…
What’s the Target insert? Haven’t been able to find the Target coupon…

  38. Amanda Ruth says:

Heinz ketchup 40 oz. bottles were $1 each at the St. Paul Midway Target this week.

  39. Stacy says:

The Forest Lake store was awesome. It was stocked full of all the products (on Saturday, the last day of the sale). They have redone the store (so its a bit hard to figure out where everything is placed). Its beautiful and very clean. They will have fresh produce starting on July 25th! Today I paid $10.26 for $46 worth of products!

  40. Christy says:

Heinz ketchup also $1 at Fridley – what a great surprise!

  41. Dana says:

There’s a .60/1 coupon for Deli Flats in the 6/27 Smartsource insert that doesn’t expire until 9/19 so I get to buy them today even though the coupon on the list expired 6/30. Yay!

  42. Beth says:

Where is the chicken deal? I don’t see it advertised in the ad and didn’t see it at my Target. Does anyone know if it’s fresh chicken or frozen?
