Welcome to shopping at Roundy’s stores that operate as Rainbow Foods, Copps and Pick N Save. Sometime this week we should see a new Roundy’s store coupon booklet in our mailbox, so keep your eyes peeled. When we get it we’ll post a list of coupons that match with those deals so we can all maximize our savings.
Read the rules of coupon doubling before you go so you understand how to ensure you get your coupons doubled. Most stores have stopped doubling coupons that say “do not double” and corporate policy says that you cannot use a coupon for the free item in a Buy 1 Get 1 Free deal. Although I wish I could, I cannot tell which coupons say “do not double.” Generally though, most printable coupons from General Mills brands (including Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, Yoplait, etc.) say that.
If you shop at Copps and your ad doesn’t match the items mentioned in this shopping list, then check out what we saw for sales last week.
Two things to remember about this list of deals. First, it does not include every sale-priced item that has a coupon. It only has those items whose final price is low enough for us to mention it. Second, it is a starting list. As we learn of more deals whose final price is low enough we will update this list. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.

Today I had 2 frigo cheeseheads coupons and 2 stouffers coupons, each for $1 and a state fair corn dog coupon for .55 for my 5 doubles. I also had a $1 off 3 pillsbury coupon that i put at the bottom of my stack since it was a DND. The cashier moved the DND coupon to the top and doubled it and moved the .55 coupon to the bottom. Go figure :)
The rainbow at the Quarry refused to take my printable coupons today. They were black and white, not color prints. The cashier and the Cust Service person said that they can’t take them even if they all have different numbers on them, as they could be photocopies. Disappointing, but understandable. FYI make sure to print out using the full color, not B and W.
I think this is just an issue with The Quarry. They have been hit hard with counterfeit coupons, so I think they are OVER cautious now. I don’t shop there anymore. I prefer the Columbia Heights Rainbow.
Couldn’t a person argue that you can photocopy in color too?
I have no problem using my B&W, they all have the “dots” in the experation date section of the coupon and a watermark.
Rainbow coupon book came in the mail today, with coupons good starting Thursday through 6/26!
I think the Ray-O-Vac battery deal was pretty good. I really needed batteries! I got 1 24pk of AAA and 1 24+6pk of AA batteries for a total of $9.99. They were $11.99 each and It was B1G1, plus I used a $1 off coupon that doubled.
Thank you Carrie for pointing this one out, it isn’t listed on the online weekly ad!
On the GM cereal deal: they have the Trix swirls 10.7 oz reg price $2.99 x 6 boxes = $17.94 -$10 instant cpn and use three $1/2 (the ones on target.com do NOT say DND) = $1.94 for 6 boxes of cereal or $0.33 each after dbl’d cpns!!! PLUS your free gallon of milk & dozen eggs!
I tried using two coupons for the cereal from the Target web site and they would only take one because the “numbers were the same”. I don’t think that type of coupon has a unique number on them like the Bricks ones – I printed it twice (I don’t copy coupons). I really hate being treated like a coupon criminal every time at Rainbow. They scrutinize every coupon like you are a criminal. I really don’t think it’s worth saving $5.00 (actually more like $3.00 maybe if you shop at Cub where their prices are lower anyway). After my horrible trip at Rainbow tonight, I went across the street to Cub where I used coupons for every item I purchased, plus the $10 Con Agra one and 2 $5.00 dairy ones, bringing my total to $0.83, and I wasn’t treated like a criminal. I really don’t believe there is a big coupon fraud ring going on like Rainbow treats it, because Cub right across the street has no problem taking coupons. I’ll stick with Cub from now on!
I’m sorry to hear you had such a bad experience. I was able to print two at work at two at home from the target website. I’ve never had problems using b&w coupons at Wdby or Cottage Grove. I’ve found prices are usually less at cub so unless it is on sale and I can match it up with my double coupons I skip it at Rainbow. Most of my experiences at those two Rainbows have been pretty positive but I will whole heartedly agree that they are much more coupon friendly at Cub!
I’ve only had 1 store (Ritchfield) ever question my coupons & the cashier stated that someone internally stole coupons. I guess it was thousands of dollars worth so they were required to check every coupon.
I talked with a cashier about this at the Maplewood one. He started sorting them all out and scrutinizing the numbers. I told him politely, they all have different numbers. He then said that the cashiers are being videoed and get in trouble if they don’t check them.
There is a new $1 off 3 refrigerated pillsbury products on coupons.com that would be great with the buy 3 get a free lb of butter deal.
The Bagel Bites are on sale for $2.40. I had a dollar off coupon (from this past week’s paper, I think?) and so I got them for .40 cents!
Both the Gorton’s printable coupon campaigns are no longer available.
there is a gortons $1/2 on coupons.com
Has anyone gotten the coupon book? Any awesome deals? Know if you can pick them up in-store? I don’t live in the metro, but am visiting this weekend and try to take advantage of the deals when I’m there!
Rainbow is not accepting the Walgreen’s Register Rewards coupons any more. I have used them in the past, but yesterday, I was told by two employees that their policy had changed regarding that. Also, I tried using two B1G1 coupons with 2 – $1 coupons for four Soft Scrubs and was told that they could only take three of the four coupons. I was confused, but I see no point in arguing. It’s their store, it’s their policies and we are the customers. Did anyone else have these experiences?
Melissa,
I was at the Eagan store and it was plain Cherrios that took the deduction rather than the “coupon deduction”. I later tried the deal at Woodbury, long story as to why I was there…and the same thing happened but I didn’t catch it and the coupons doubled anyway.

I have no problem using the B & W coupons printed coupons at the Roseville Rainbow.
I found a $1/1 printable coupon for Bagel Bites at bagelbites.com. :-)
The Lakeville Rainbow takes the black and white printed coupons – at least so far. Some lady came in last week with 10 Fruit Chiller coupons and it really upset the employees. They were about to make a new policy that you could only use ONE printed coupon per item because this lady had made copies of some of her coupons and they thought everyone was doing that. I pointed out that as long as the numbers were different, they were not copies and therefore were legitimate and Rainbow would get reimbursed. The gal at customer service was glad to know how the system works and at least for now they are back to taking B and W printed coupons. This is a good example of how one person can mess it up for everyone. Use good “coupon etiquette” people :0)
About a month or so ago the Fruit Chiller printable coupon that was out there did not have a print limit, so the lady that used 10 must have printed them then, which would make them legitimate. My kids LOVE Fruit Chillers so I printed out quite a few also, knowing I would definitely use them over the summer. If there is no print limit set by the issuing company, I am not sure how that can be classified as bad coupon etiquette . . . . but I am sure there are plenty of people out there that put it in that category even though there are no “rules” being broken in this situation.
These coupons were actually copies – no water mark and the exact same same “number”. The gal at customer service showed them to me and that’s when I was able to explain the difference to her about which coupons were legitimate and which ones were not. I have had multiple coupons for the same item also (love it when that happens!) so that wasn’t what I was referring to. I was only talking about the people who make copies of the same coupon. Hope this helps to clarify :)
Has anyone been able to print the Purina Cat Chow coupon? It didn’t even come up on the page with the rest of the coupons when I opened the link….
I found Pull up flushable wipes for $2.05. Use the $1/1, It would be .05 cents after doubled coupon.
which rainbow?
There is a Gorton’s coupon for $1/2 on Coupons.com (I used zip 53038).
