Puritan’s Pride: Buy 1, Get 2 Free Sale on Vitamins, Spices & Aromatherapy

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

It’s been awhile since I’ve alerted you to the great sales happening at Puritan’s Pride where they sell vitamins and spices (interesting combination, I know) online at amazing prices.

Right now their best sale in a year is happening. Now through June 30, everything is buy 1 product and you get 2 more of that exact same item free. Shipping is a flat fee of $4.95, so that’s not a reason to stock up, or it’s free when you spend $75 and use the code TAPCM75.

If you prefer products made in the USA, theirs are. Puritan’s Pride carries a full line of vitamin and minerals, but they also carry spices and aromatherapy products like essential oils

Vitamins

An interesting thing I noticed though, last time I talked about Puritan’s Pride, is that vitamins seems to be an area where we think more expensive equals higher quality. Folks asked questions like, “if these vitamins cost so much less than their competition, then are they not as good?” Puritan’s Pride answers that very question on their website saying:

How can Puritan’s Pride afford to give you the highest quality vitamins and supplements at the lowest prices? It’s simple. We’re the manufacturer. There’s absolutely no middleman. We pass along to you all the benefits and savings that come from having complete control of our manufacturing – everything from raw materials to final packaging.

I don’t see that they are part of the USP Dietary Supplement Verification Program, but surprisingly few vitamins are. I have some of their vitamins en route to me now so next time I post about them I can give my personal experience.

Spices

Puritan’s Pride has long carried basic spices like cinnamon and celery salt, but they’ve recently expanded their line. Now you can get organic spices, grilling spices as well as alcohol-free extracts and flavorings. I have found their prices to be very competitive and am interested to hear what you think about them. Any of the spice products are included in the buy 1, get 2 of the exact same product free sale.

Aromatherapy

Homemade cleaning and personal products are a way to save money, but most recipes suggest adding an essential oil for aroma. Or, you can use oils like tea tree oil as a cleaning-type agent itself. As I browsed the Aromatherapy section of Puritan’s Pride’s website, I noticed some recipe ideas for a variety of homemade products.

Personally, we’ve used tea tree oil as a disinfectant and stain (and stink!) remover in a number of different ways around my house. I haven’t priced it in a long time, but if someone else knows – I’d be interested to hear if 60 ml for $16.90 is competitive or not.

They do also offer a prorated quality guarantee, where you are refunded for the unused portion of a product you don’t like. If you shop through Shop At Home to earn an additional 9% cashback (where as Ebates and Cashbaq are giving 5% back)

I love using Tea Tree oil and $16.90 for 60ml is a competitive price. I usually pay $9.00 per oz(29.something ml) or $28.80 for 4 oz, plus more than $4.95 for shipping through Mountain Rose Herbs. Thanks for letting us know about this sale!

I paid $6.49 for 1oz/30ml of Desert Essence 100% Pure Australian Tea Tree Oil at Trader Joe’s not too long ago. I don’t know if this is a good brand but it seems fine. I’m checking out the site for other things though. Thanks!
