Office Depot is at it again this week, putting five software titles on sale such that they’ll be free after rebate. Plus, Roxio Easy VHS to DVD is just $9.99 after rebate (down from sale price of $49.99). These deals are good both in-store and online, with free 2-day shipping when you order $50+.
One idea: Although you will have to cut off the UPC code from the bottom of the box to submit the rebate form, but if your recipient doesn’t mind (like my husband, he could care less), then you could give a couple of these as gifts – particularly the HGTV Instant Makeover, Roxio VHS to DVD converter and PrintShop softwares.

Plan to get the Norton Bundle and the VHS to DVD software. Really good prices on software this week. Roxio software is so easy to use so excited to see that one and get the old VHS on something we can watch and then to transfer to blue ray some day.

When it says prepaid Visa card, does that mean a card that is good anywhere or is it just good at Office Depot?
Karen – It will be good anywhere. It’s just a preloaded gift card with a Visa logo that works anywhere that Visa is accepted.
The HGTV software did not have the mail-in rebate included in the product pricing information, while the other software did. The mail-in rebate coupon says it’s good until 6/5, but since it doesn’t show it on the website, does anyone know if this is no longer a valid discount?

A cashier told me today that if I used this coupon my rebate would be denied…
I hope the post from hp isn’t true… I used the coupon last night and am going to mail the rebate today. They should just give the price you/we pay for the software as the rebate then, instead of it being better than free if they have an issue with that… We’ll see I guess. The rebate form said to allow up to 90 days for the rebate, so I’ll be waiting for quite a while…
I just read the fine print on my rebate form and it didn’t say anything about coupons making the rebate invalid. I will surely copy my rebate form (I usually don’t) and make a stink if they try to deny it…
