Menards Shopping List 6/27 – 7/11/10

Menards mail-in-rebate program is a great way to get home repair items free or cheap. The rebate you get won’t be cash, but a store credit for Menards. I explain all the ins and outs of Menards’ rebate program here, so you can get easily started.

This list includes rebated items that are at least 75% off their retail price. Unless noted as “while supplies last” you should be able to request a rain check if your store is out of stock.

A reminder that if you purchase at least one free-after-rebate item in any transaction, then you’ll need to buy $10 in non-rebated items in that same transaction. That to say, if you buy all your free-after-rebate items at one time, then you’ll need one additional $10 purchase in non-rebated items. If you buy some items on one receipt and go back later in the week and buy other items, then each time you’ll need $10 in non-rebated items.

We never seem to have trouble finding $10 in other sale items to purchase. This week we might buy Rayovac batteries, storage totes, cashew halves or Good Sense snacks, unless my husband starts another home repair project, then he’ll likely need some kind of supplies for that.

Your turn: How did you do at Menards this week?

In my ad it looked like the insect repellant was the Cutter brand. I found a $1 off coupon for that brand in one of the coupon inserts but I’m not sure which one. With both the coupon and the rebate it would end up being free

With the paint, can you get color added to it? Or is it white only?

OFF Deepwoods is also on sale …It is $3.49 and then a $2.00 rebate making it $1.49/bottle The limit is 2 for the Menard’s rebate, but you could buy 3, use some of the OFF coupons and then submit for the $5 SC Johnson rebate as well as the Menards and get 3 bottles of OFF for close to free. (The Cutter only has 7% deet–and my kids get bit up with it on, the OFF has 25% Deet and they are left alone.) For the SC Johnson Rebate you would have to purchase tomorrow.

I did the 100 Pack Pop ice deal a couple of weeks ago and found out it isn’t a Menards rebate. You have to send in receipt, UPC, etc. to receive rebate and you can only do 1 per envelope, so half of your rebate goes to postage. I was disappointed.

Rayovac alkaline batteries are $6.99 after $4.00 MIR for a package of 48 AA or AAA. I thought this was a great deal. The alkaline last soooo much longer. After months of using the free after coupons and such non alkaline kind from Target dollar spot and Walgreens and having to change the batteries so frequently, this seemed like a sanity saver price…What does everyone else pay for batteries? We seem to always need them.
