HotPrints: 4 Free Photo Books Each Month

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

A new month means another free HotPrints photo book, but now you can request four per month! Customers can still receive the photo books for free, but you will now have to pay for shipping & handling ($2.99/book).

The HotPrints photo book (called a HotBook) is a 16-page, 8×10 photo book that you design and create online using your own photos. Your book will have one page in it of advertising and printing on the back cover; that’s how they’re able to give it to you for free.

Your turn: Now that you have to pay for shipping, will you still order your free HotBook(s)?

I was a little bummed when I got the news from HotPrints that they were yanking the totally free books and now making us pay $2.99 to ship. The quality on these is so poor that I’m not going to pay for them, but I did enjoy the free ones to make little adventure books for my kids. Maybe I’ll get a few if they don’t have the advertising, and if they don’t have the address block on the back, but probably not since the photos are always a little off and get crummier as the size increases. I wonder how crummy they are with Facebook photos (which are very low resolution to start with!). Thanks Carrie for helping us save!

No I will not be ordering the books now that they are charging shipping. They originally said that for a year they would offer one completely free book a month. I think they should have kept offering the free book until December and then changed the offer if they needed to.

I will not keep ordering as well. I WON’T pay for how that quality is. It’s good to receive 1 free book each month, but the quality is not that good anyway (yeah yeah, I know it’s free), and that’s the point, if it’s free. If it’s free, I understand I can’t complain, but now they making people to pay (even it’s for shipping), I’m still paying for something, I deserve a better quality book at least. Another thing is, why would they charge the shipping by each book? That doesn’t make sense if someone orders all 4 books together, the shipping won’t be $12. They obviously trying to make some money off the shipping while they are already making money off the companies who’s paying them ads fee. 4 free books? My a**! It’s obvious making people think it’s worth it because it’s Free + “”FEE”" = Not FREE!

Conclusion: Sorry Hotprints, I’m deleting your app on my facebook! Good luck on business.
