In honor of dairy month Cub is running a month-long, not-necessarily-advertised-in-the-sales-flyer promotion. When you buy 5 qualifying dairy products you will get a coupon good for $5 off your next grocery purchase.
Sun, a Pocket Your Dollars reader, found this flyer at her local store, scanned it and sent it to me (click on the image below or this link to see a larger, readable version). It lists a variety of dairy products that qualify for this promotion. Interestingly enough the Land O Lakes half and half that was on sale free-after-this-promotion last week is not included in the list.
Throughout the month we will cross-reference the weekly sale items with this list and do our best to mention any deals that seem noteworthy. If you see anything, whether a regular priced item that when paired with a coupon and the $5 off promotion is a great price, or a dairy-related sale item that others should know about, please let us know.

It looks like you might be able to do well with the Yoplait combined with the printable coupons on coupons.com. Other than that, nothings jumping out at me! I’m not a professional grocery shopper, though, so I’ll take all the tips I can get.
I’ve got all my Yoplait coupons ready to go. I should be able to stock up on yogurt, which is nice, and it will end up being real cheap too.
You can freeze yogurt too and then defrost and use it later. Tastes just fine. Plus, when it’s frozen my kids think I magically made ice cream :)

hmmm, the scanned list is not the same as the one I found at St Anthony Cub.
I typed out the list on A Full Cup (posted under funnygarcia) in the Dairy cat info) and it has been shared on another local blog. Copy and paste away :)
That list included a bunch of Land O Lakes products : sour cream, cottage cheese, milk, chocolate milk, half and half and whipping cream. Basically whatever is listed as “dean’s” on your list change to Land O Lakes (except for Dean’s Dips).
Mid American Top the Tator is also on my list but not mentioned on your list.
At St Anthony they had little hanging tags advertising the promotion under each product that qualifies.

Well, this did not work for me. I bought 3 Sargento Sliced cheeses (Provolone) and 2 GoGurts and this was at Crystal Cub. :(
It worked for me. I did 5 packages of Activia. The yogurt was $2.00. I had $1.00 off coupons so the yogurt ended up being free after I use the $5.00 on a future purchase.
I am not sure why they are not promoting this item on their website.

It didnt work for me at the Cambridge Cub. I went to the front desk with my receipt (and made sure they were items that were specifically identified in the aisles at the Cambridge store). The manager didnt know what I was talking about. I brought her one of the blue tags that showed the “deal” and they gave me a $5 gift card. It was very nice of them.
Is it just me or does tea, oj, and gelatin not seem like Dairy?
Yeah well Gold Peak tea, Florida’s Natural and Jell-O are sold in the Dairy dept. so I kind of see the connection.
I did this promotion at cub this week not an outstanding price but got kraft deli slices for 1.75 each. There was a blinkie in front of the cheese and tags on the shelf pointing out what products were available. It didnt work right when I got to the register but went to customer service and they gave me 5$ back the 10$ catalina on the popcorn and peanut butter also wasnt working but they may have fixed it by now.

It did not work for me! I got 4 Dannon Crush cups & 1 activia yesterday. The list states 6 count but they don’t sell those in both of the stores I went to. I am going to ask for a refund & hope they give it to me.
Didn’t work for me at the Shoreview Cub. I talked to the customer Service and they knew nothing about it. I thought I would print off the list here and see if they will give it to me. can anyone tell me which comes they saw this advertized at?
They have the fliers (slightly larger than a bookmark, blue header) at St Anthony Cub (Silver Lake Road a few blocks off 37th Ave NE, the Silver Village shopping area with Walmart and other stores)
Lots of postings on A Full Cup with problems using the crush cups and possibly Activia. I’ve done several orders with the LOL white milk, kraft deluxe slices, LOL sour cream and Kemps sour cream with no problems.

How do I freeze the yogurt? Do I need to wrap it or how long will it keep frozen. Sounds like a great idea for summer not days. Better for you then a sweet frozen treat. Any special ways to dethaw? This is a great idea.
I have been getting the Trop50 juice. Its on sale for $2.49. Use expired $1 off 1 and it comes to 49c after the $5 catalina. They have orange, pineapple -mango and blueberry -pomegranate. My kids love all the flavors.
