It looks as though there is an in-store flyer at Cub Foods with additional deals and coupons besides the regular flyer that you receive in the Sunday paper. This appears to be different from the Cub coupon books that periodically come out. If you find one of these in your store, can you please share where you found it? We’ve also added an on-going deals section to this list where we will list items that are a good deal even at their regular price when matched up with coupons. Please let us know any deals that you know of in the comments so that we can add them to the list.
Since Cub Foods’ stores accept manufacturer-issued coupons up to 3 months past their expiration date (and in some cases up to 5 or 6 months past) some of those referenced on this list are expired. If you are new to Pocket Your Dollars, then learn to read this shopping list. If you are having issues, troubleshoot problems printing coupons here.
Remember that this is a starting list of deals for the week. As readers leave comments with bargains they found at their local store, we get emails with deal ideas, or we read about other deals across the blogosphere, we will update this list. Items that are added throughout the week will be noted as NEW. Items whose final price changes as a result of a new or modified coupon scenario will be noted as UPDATED. At least once this week we will send out a reminder to come back and check this list for the hottest new deals.
Your turn: Where did you find the extra in-store flyer? What on-going deals do you know of at Cub Foods that we could add to that section of the list?

I bought sweet corn at Cub today with the coupon and the price after coupon was $3 for 12 ears.
Target has ears of corn 10/$1 this week, so not a deal I would have gone with…
You can use expired RR at the EP Cub.
I’m not finding the skinny cow coupon. Does anyone know if/where it’s still available?
I couldn’t find it either….I did find the $.50 off but that’s it. I think the other one is gone :(
I have a coupon question. I have a coupon for $1.00 of ground beef with the purchase of 2 classico sauces. Can I use the $1.00 off 2 Classico sauces plus the ground beef coupons if I also bought a pound of ground beef?
Yes, I would say so. You only have one coupon for each item you bought.
yes, if you purchase 2 sauces and a pound of ground beef you can use the coupon for the sauces and the ground beef-you can do one store and one manufacturer coupon per item.
Believe this coupon is in the 3/14SS (if your Cub takes expired coupons)
Christine, if you buy both the sauce and the ground beef, you can use both coupons.
The Cub on Lyndale in Bloomington no longer accepts Internet coupons for free items. They finally did honor a coupon from Tropicana Juicy Rewards that I received in the mail, but have been experiencing “Coupon Fraud”.
I was told the same thing at the Sillwater Cub Foods. When they realized the Tropicana came in the mail, they did accept it.
I couldn’t find the Superpretzel coupon on the Red Plum website.
Me neither
There is a SuperPretzel coupon in the 5/2 RP or if your CUB takes expired coupons check the 2/21RP or 3/14RP
Era detergent is 2,50 this week for 50 oz. Last week listed on sale at 2.99 so this is better, and better yet if you have $1 coupon from last week’s paper. To compare, Rainbow has Era in their circular for 12.99 for 150 oz. Not such a great deal when you compare to Cub’s price. 3 of the 50 oz Era’s would be 7.50.
When I was at Rainbow in Maple Grove on Saturday, they had a display of Era out by the pharmacy/refridgerated juice area for $2.99. Luckily, I had my coupons with me and was able to double the $1 coupons and get these for .99 cents each. I was so happy I was carrying my Cub coupons with me at time so I could take advantage of this spectacular deal! I am wondering if Rainbow often reduces prices on things they see Cub has on sale because I have caught these unadvertised specials a couple of times.
I was happy too because I was able to use some expired Era coupons last week. Couldn’t use the expired ones at Rainbow. IT’s sure nice to find a good deal on detergent.
The expired ERA coupon is in the 3/28RP $1 off one.
Can anyone comment on the Kellogg’s Cereal deal at Cub this week? I think it was $1.99 each if you buy three boxes. Then there was a coupon in Sunday’s inserts for $1.75 off three – meaning you can get the three boxes for $4.22. Does anyone know of any other Kellogg’s coupons that I could use?
I did the Kellogg’s deal today. I bought 3 boxes of the Mini Wheats Little Bites. The size listed on the coupon said 16-23 oz but the Little Bites were 15.8 oz. The coupon worked. Also besides the Cub coupon I had 2 expired coupons. ONe was for $1 off one box of Little Bites, the other was for $2 off 2 boxes. These were expired, and the date was May 9. Not sure what insert they were in. You could use http://www.coupontom.com to find out. He lists expired coupons as well as current ones. It was a good deal. With the Cub coupon plus the mfr ones the cereal only came to .99 a box.
http://www.nonamesteaks.com has the sizes under “our products”
The Kraft cheese is a decent deal if you really need it and can’t wait for it to be $1/8 oz. We go through cheese FAST, so I’ll take anything under $2/8 oz! It’s $2 per 8 oz this week at Cub so if you buy 2 and use the in-ad coupon, it winds up being $1.50/8 oz.
If you like No Name products, this week’s Cub deals are excellent! They usually run $17.98 a box. We like the No Name steaks and salmon. The steaks are a box of 4 – 6 oz steaks. The salmon fillets are a box of 4 – 5 oz fillets. The petite steaks come 6 – 4 oz steaks in a box. I prefer the petite but my husband likes the bigger steaks. I am not sure on the sizes on the other No Name products, but the steaks and salmon fillets are some of our favorites.
Carrie, the Skinny Cow coupons are no longer available according to their Facebook page :-(
Last week I bought a few bags of the Fisher salted in the shell peanuts. 12oz size was $1.45 (everyday price) with the $1/1 coupon from 6/20, 2/28, 2/7, 1/10, 12/13, or 12/6 Smartsource insert it comes down to only .45 bag. My husband loves these so I thought it was a good price.
There are more expired coupons in the 11/15SS and 11/22SS
I got a mailer last week from No Name. $1.00 any product. Anyone else receive this?
Those of you who bought the Kellogg’s cereals, you also have an opportunity to get free Toy Story 3 movie tickets (or any Disney or touchstone picture release). You only have 2 more days left to input the codes from specially marked cereal and you need 6 boxes of cereal to get a free movie ticket. PLEASE NOTE: You can only input 5 codes at a time so you’ll need to enter the code today and tomorrow in order to still get your free tickets. If you need more than one ticket, just sign up each person on the kellogg’s website who needs a ticket (in case you weren’t smart enough to figure that out, like ME! LOL)
R U sure it’s not 2011?? I don’t have mine with me, but I thought I remember reading that we had a year to use our codes.
I was at Cub yesterday and found boxes of Kellogg’s new Cinnabon cereal with “try me free” rebates on them. There is also a $1/1 coupon in the 6/27 RP, so the cereal is better than free after rebate and coupon. Also, their other new variey, Simply Cinnamon Corn Flakes, has a “try me free” rebate as well. I don’t know if there are any coupons out for that one.
***The Link to the Classico Pasta Sauce coupon doesn’t work for the product in the cub ad. The product in the ad is 15-24oz jars and the coupon is for $1 off the 44oz jar.
Didn’t find the Lindsay Olives coupon for $1/2, but this was in my email:

Hi Carrie-
I just wanted to give you and your readers a “heads up” regarding the Cub Foods in Buffalo MN. Twice now that have hassled me when using perfectly legit coupons and not let me use them. It’s pretty apparent to me that this Cub does NOT like customers that use coupons… A few weeks ago they had the buy one get one humus coupon and then to use the buy one get one from Athenos – this Cub would not let me do it. I travel a lot, so I did it at both the Maple Grove and Edina locations. Today I tired to purchase two of the Philadelphia Cream Cheese with 2 separate $1 off coupons that I obtained from the Kraft web site – again they would only let me do it once. International Coffee creamers – same thing tried to purchase 3, because I had two coupons that I printed off just this week and an old one from a couple of months ago. Would only let me do it once. Obviously, I only purchased one of each of the previously mentioned items. Went to Walmart purchased 2 International Coffee Creamers, which I might add were .32 a piece lower than Cub’s “sale” price and was able to use both coupons. This is the ONLY Cub that EVER hassles me. Just thought you and your readers should know about this Cub. I can bet I will stay away from this one from now on… Thanks for reading…
Hey Carol,
They haven’t hassled me yet, but don’t seem pleased when I present my coupons. Have you tried the one in Monticello?? I don’t travel much, so I usually will go to Monti at least everyother week to check out Super Target. I haven’t checked their cub out yet though. Also, have you went to the Walgreens there?? I just realized they have one and am very excited.
Thanks!!
Hi Chris-
Yes, I have went to Monticello – and that’s actually where I plan to go today to finish my shopping and thanks for the tip regarding Walgreens in Monticello – I will plan to stop there today as well. Yes, the Buffalo one has hassled me twice and when they haven’t – I agree they don’t seem to be very thrilled that I’m using coupons period. Thanks so much for you input!
Hey Carol~
I went to WG in Monti. Quite disappointed. They didn’t have most of the deals I was looking for. They didn’t have any of the deals I wanted from the 4 day sale as they were not participating in it. And for the Playtex tampon deal they didn’t have the GentleGlide 36pk, not even a spot for them as far as I can see, but got the Sports and my q’s for the gentleglide worked. I think in the future I will have to go to Elk River or St Cloud. At least I have my daughter stocked for a few months.
Hey Chris-
I went to the WG in Monti yesterday as well and experienced the same. All I wanted is the lip balm – sold out – 4 day sale toothpaste – not participating… UGH! Disappointing to say the least… I’ll stick to the MG and Rogers WGs… BTW – did you know they are building a CVS in St. Micheal?!…
Wow! A CVS, that is awesome. Do you know when its suppose to be done?
The Monti Cub is wonderful. I have had very little issues with coupons there and the cashiers are very nice for the most part. I also asked about Wags RR a couple of months ago and they do take them, so I have used a ton of RR there (expired work too). I was very excited about the new Wags in Monti too, but I quickly went running back to Elk River’s Wags after a couple times. The Monti one rarely has the sale and RR deals because it is so small they don’t have the room to stock what a normal Wags would. Doesn’t matter if it is more convenient if you can’t get the deals!
Thank you! Great information to know about the Cub in Monti.!
Thanks Jennifer! Good to hear from people that shop in our area.
Carol, Chris and Jennifer the Cub and Target at Monticello are great with the exception of a couple cashiers but I tried to avoid them Walgreens very dissapointed is not a “full size store”so they don’t have the sales that you would normally see in the ad ( register rewards deals) your best bet would be Elk River
Thank you Sofi :)
Smuckers Ice Cream Toppings $1.50 & had hanging coupons on the jars for .75/1
Also found in another isle, a Smuckers Coupon booklet, which had 2 coupons in it $1.25/2 & Buy 3, Get 1 Free
Can make for some sweet toppings for ice cream this summer!
There is also a $1 off 2 in the 5/16RP making them $1 each – great deal!
You might want to add back on the on going list the fisher sunflower seed bags that are .99 and the $1 coupons that correspond
As far as using Walgreens Register Reward Catalinas at Cub, I shop at the Blaine MN location off of Lexington & 35W. They gladly take my RRs with a smile. But the Cub in Coon Rapids off of Round Lake Blvd and HWY 10, they refuse to take them. The manager had the nerve to tell my sister-in-law that the Catalinas take away from their bottom line. I said… what?!? So I emailed Cub twice to complain, and they haven’t responded to me once, and I told them I would let everone know if they didn’t change their policy. So here I am. Even the Rainbow nearby takes them without nary a question. My guess is that Cub thinks it doesnt need our business, so thats just what I’m doing. Not shopping there anymore. Too bad, because their outdoor flower section rocks by far! Oh well.
Ever try self checkout? My RR works there and the machine never looks at me funny. I did have an expired $5 off your next purchase catalina from Unilever/Walgreens that doesn’t work thougfh.
I have at other Cub Foods in the Metro area and you are correct – no issues at all! Cub Foods in Buffalo does not offer self checkout lanes…guess that kind of completes the story with this location…
Carol, (and anyone else in monti, buffalo, maple lake area).
If you want to trade any info back and forth, my email is lifesdrama05@yahoo.com.
Chris
Hey, thanks for the advice about the self check out! I will also pass that info on to my in-laws that like to shop at that Coon Rapids store. Makes me want to go there just for spite.. sorry, I will be a nice coupon-er. ; )
I have to say that I LOVE the Cub in Coon Rapids, the people there have been so wonderful and have gone out of their way to make the coupons work, even if the register beeps. I’m sorry you’ve had to deal with all that.

Newbie question here, but when the sale says (like for the 12 pk of pop) that $25 more is needed….is that literally what it means that you have to get an additional $25 of goods or does it mean that including the pop you have to get $25 minimum? Thx in advance and just making sure.
I am pretty sure that it means not including the soda. My question is – to get to the $25, do I add up the pre-coupon prices or is this after all of my coupons have been deducted.
Also, not Cub related, but does anyone know what happened to the Kohl’s coupon that Carrie had on the site earlier today?
Jessi,
Your $25 is before coupons…and not including the pop.
Playing the Sobe game…printed off 6 BOGO’s b4 I got bored.
Has anyone tried to freeze cream cheese? I use some for fresh taco dip but also for frostings and wondered if it can be frozen? Thanks
I freeze cream cheese all the time. Thaw it in the fridge and you won’t even be able to tell it was frozen.
The Silver Lake Cub has 12oz bags of Malt O Meal bagged cereals for 67 cents. It looks like this might be a Malt O Meal promotion that will show up at many stores.
I was at Target in Champlin today and they have sweet corn 10 for $1.00!! that is 10 cents a piece!! Much cheaper than 12 for $3.00:)
It might be too late, but for those of you who like to use up your expired coupons at Cub here are a few deals that I did not see in the lists:
Kraft meltdowns – $1 off 1 in the 4/25SS
Classico Pasta Sauce – $1.50 off beef when you buy 2 sauces in the 3/14SS
Osteo BiFlex – $5/1 in the 4/11RP
Era – $1 off one in the 3/28RP
Fisher nuts – $1 off one in the 11/15SS and 11/22SS
SuperPretzel – 2/21RP, 3/14RP and 5/2RP
Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs – 5/16SS and 6/20SS
Hope that helps someone!
Does anyone know what the thurs-sat special is at Cub this week?
Cub’s Thurs.-Fri. specials are seedless watermelon for 2.98 and Salmon filets. I don’t use salmon so I dont’s remember what the price was. Hope this helps Pam.
In response to Maria and Karie regarding the Kellogg’s cereal/Toy Story/ other movie deal, you do have until June 30 of 2011 (another year) to redeem.
I’ve already done it, by the way, and had no trouble with the whole process. It looks like plenty of theatres take the ecash ticket. I used mine in Hastings this last week.
