Target Shopping List 5/2 – 5/8/10

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

After taking last week off from sharing a Target list due to a sinus infection, we are back in business this week (thank you Lord for antibiotics!). There are likely additional new on-going deals that should be added, as we missed a week of sharing them. Please leave comments with other bargains you’ve found.

Remember that we have two places where we share Target deals. This list has week-long sales and on-going deals that are getting their first mention. On-going Target deals we’ve told you about in times past are organized in their own shopping list. We hope to keep this list from getting too cluttered and too long. (We would love feedback about whether you like or dislike this approach).

As you get started shopping at Target we’d recommend getting familiar with Target’s price matching policy and Target’s coupon policy. You may want to bring printouts of these with you to the store. If you are new to Pocket Your Dollars learn how to read this shopping list or troubleshoot problems when printing coupons.

Target fanatics should check out the ever-changing supply of Target online coupons, be sure to sign up for Target’s text messaged coupons and browse Target’s weekly ad online.

Your turn: What other deals did you snag at Target this week?

Comments

  1. Jenny says:

The foil coupon on the website is $1 off, but it’s not working!

  2. SHANNON says:

There is also a $1/1 q for the nivea lip balm in the weekend paper. So buy 2 use BOGO q and $1/1 q. They are price $1.99 in Cambridge so they would be .50 each after 2 q’s

  3. Jane says:

Is the Simply Go-Gurt the same as Yoplait Go-Gurt? If so, Target has a .40 cent coupon for one and .80 for two, which brings it down to .62 cents a piece…if it is the same kind???

    • AJ says:

I’m not sure if we are talking about the same Target q, but here’s what happened to me last week with those Go-Gurt q’s:

On the Target site there are now Target issued q’s (as always) AND manufacturer issued q’s (relatively new). You won’t know which they are until you print them and look at their upper left-hand corner. Target will NOT let you use 2 manufacturer q’s on 1 product (even if you printed 1 of the manufacturer directly from the Target site). Last week I had an insert q and a q from the Target site (which read “manufacturer q”) and they would not let me use them both for the same product. I shop the Otsego Target.

      HTH

  4. Jenniver says:

The foil coupon gives an error

  5. AJ says:

I can’t get the Stove Top link to work. Any pointers?

  6. Karah says:

The stovetop was at coupons.com. The Bertolli link is bad too, and I haven’t been able to find that one.

  7. Michelle J says:

Can anyone tell me what a good buy price for diapers (pampers) is? Thanks so much.

    • Laura Wales says:

Michelle – I’ve found that Pampers deals don’t come around nearly as often as Huggies. I never buy the boxes, so I can only tell you that I don’t pay more than $6 for a jumbo pack (I shoot for $5) using coupons and the Register Rewards/Extra Care Bucks programs at Walgreens and CVS.

  8. Jenny says:

When, if ever, do the SoBe coupons reset? I bought this deal a long time ago, and ever since then can’t print any.

  9. Annette says:

    Natural Instincts Hair Color $5.99

If you got the Target extra coupons in the mail, there is a $5/2 Target coupon in there. Buy 2 and use $2/1 from 5/2 Procter & Gamble insert and $5/2 Target coupon.
Final price: $2.49 each after coupons

  10. lisa says:

Another good deal: Hershey’s Bliss is on sale this week for $3. Target’s website has a Target coupon for $1 off, plus there was a $1 off manuf coupon in one of the newspaper inserts about 2-3 weeks ago.

  11. Jill says:

If you’ve signed up to receive mobile coupons from Target, there’s also a 1.00 Bertolli coupon.

  12. Emily says:

Has anyone been able to find the Thomas Honey Wheat English Muffins at their Target? I have been to the Apple Valley South Super Target and can’t find them there. I haven’t been able to find them at Cub either actually.

    • Valerie Y says:

I found the Honey Wheat English muffins at my Cub in Brooklyn Park last week, but they were down to their last 2 packages. It was when they had a BOGO free coupon for the Thomas brand.

  13. Jen says:

Scrubbing Bubbles Power Sprayer on Sale for $7.99 – there is a $5 MQ in 4/11 SS and there was a get a $5 Target GC coupon with this purchase in the 5/2 paper. Plus here is a coupon for buy sprayer get refill free.

    http://www.scrubbingbubbles.com/Pages/default.aspx

So with all $2.01 money maker before tax.

    • Laura Wales says:

      Thanks, Jen!

    • Gennifer says:

I tried doing this deal today, it would not give me the $5.00 g/c.

      • Flannel Guy says:

        Gennifer,

I had the same problem a few weeks ago with a $5 Scrubbing Bubbles Target GC. I just **calmly and politely** pointed out that I had met the requirements of the coupon and the cashier called a supervisor and I quickly rcv’d the GC. I occasionally have the same problem at Walgreens. The “Golden Rule” rules!!

    • penny says:

tried the scrubbing bubbles deal at target today…no gift card…went to customer service they didn’t seem to know anything about it.

did any one else have this happen

  14. SHANNON says:

Target deal. Buy 3 select nabisco products get oreo fudge mint free.

Use BOBO nabisco q and $1/1 wheat thins q. You also have to buy a gallon of milk.

Get 3 packs cookies + milk + 1 box crackers for about 5.82

  15. Lisa ** says:

If you shop Rainbow double Q’s the reynolds wrap recycled brand 50 yards/feet (whatever it goes by) is regular priced at $2.79 and with a doubled $1/1 Q you are down to $.79 so I agree that it’s not the best price ever for this at Target.

  16. Eve says:

On the Bertolli deal if you live around the W Broadway/Bass lake Road Target or the W Broadway/Co. Rd. 152 until 5/15 they are having a remodel special they list the Chicken Florentine & Farfalle for $4.99! I wish I had looked at that before I did the deal at my Target thats almost $2.00 more off….Bummer……

  17. Mary says:

Value pack count of diapers for both Huggies and Pampers for sz. 3 is 116, for sz. 4 is 100. Huggies sz. 4 price per diaper .23 cents (after coupons and gift card), Pampers sz. 4 price per diaper .21 (after coupons and gift card).

  18. Erin says:

Could you buy 6 12 packs of the soda, use two of the $2 off coupons from the Rainbow ad, then additionally use the $2 off Snapple q from the same Rainbow ad?

    • Melissa says:

I bought 3 12 packs today used the $2/3 off coupon for the pop from the Rainbow ad got the free Snapple plus I bought another Snapple for $4.99 and used the $2/2 off Rainbow coupon for the Snapple. It worked just fine even the my cashier was the ultimate coupon police.

    • Cindy says:

I did just that today. I Bought 6 12 pks and got 2 Snapples free. I used 2 Rainbow $2/3 off coupons and then used the $2/2 Snapple coupon. The register let me use the three coupons. The cashier looked at it after it went though and said “you bought 2 Snapples you just did not pay for them.”

  19. Karen says:

I couldn’t find the Bliss coupon. So I went to couponmom.com and looked at her database and I noticed that I didin’t get a lot of the Hersey coupons in prior inserts. I know you said that different places could get different coupons. I am in Princeton north of the cities but I get the Tribune delivered to my house. Is my area not being targeted by Hersey. We like candy too!

  20. Mary says:

Has anyone found the Bertolli $1/1 coupon? What zip code does it need to be? I can’t find it

  21. Mary says:

Zegerid OTC is heartburn medicine, not allergy

  22. Debra says:

I tried to do the deal for the Motrim but the register beeped & wouldn’t accept the 20 count box. It was seen as ‘trial size’.

  23. Lori Jo says:

Hi – I am not finding this item in the 4/18 RP
NYC New York Color Cosmetics $1.72
Use $1/1 from 4/18 Red Plum insert
    Final price: $0.72 after coupon
I see the Rimmel coupon for $1 off – is that the same product?

  24. Karen says:

I just want to say last week made me realize how GREAT the PYD lists are. I knew I was spoiled but that just confirmed it. Thank you so much for the lists you guys do… for whatever reason my brain does better on these than any other blog.

    YOU ROCK!

    • Alison says:

I agree – I think it’s the organization – it’s always so easy and quick to read and I love that it goes from cheapest to most expensive in each category.

    • amy says:

      I agree!

    • Katherine says:

I agree too. I was confused by last week’s list and was so thankful this week’s was back in action! Thanks PYD!

  25. Kam says:

Gillette Men’s Body was 8 oz’s were on clearance in Waconia… for $1.52 ea. I used the $4 off two coupon and the buy one get one free coupon from I think last week – got four for 98 cents – yay!
On diapers I like to get them for 18 cents or less per diaper….

  26. Kierstien says:

Does anyone know how much the gilette/gillette venus cartridges cost at target? I see they are on sale for $9.99 @ cub this week and wondering what they are at target. Thanks!

  27. Kierstien says:

Does anyone know if Lakeville target accepts expired q’s? I have never tried but heard other targets accepting them

  28. rochelle says:

Watch your coupons are the register. They were ringing up different (not an adjusted price either). I had to go back and get the coupons and go to customer service where they agreed that they didn’t give me the right amount. I had heard this was happening and this was the first time it had happened to me (Target at Riverdale).

    • Miranda says:

I totally agree that you need to start watching your coupons. Last week I had a b1g1 free coupon only give me $0.72 off instead of the full price.

  29. Gennifer says:

I had one charge me for my $5.00 g/c with the scrubbing bubbles deal.

    • Angela says:

On my receipt Target lists the gift card on the receipt, then right under the package total takes the gift card amount back off (target coupon $5.00-).

  30. Carolyn says:

I can’t find the Target $1.50 Vaseline Sheer Infusion coupon from the 4/25 Red Plum. Thanks for all your help.

    • Kierstien says:

I was unable to find this as well, I used the $3.75q along with $1 printable making it $0.04 so not bad at all :)

      • Flannel Guy says:

I *did* find the $1.50 coupon, but found that the Shakopee Target had it @ $4.79 so I chose to pay the .04 and save the 1.50 for possible other use.

Then I got to the checkout and got a pleasant surprise. My first ever ZERO PRE_TAX TOTAL!! Got $15 of stuff for .67 tax.

  31. Dawn M says:

My shave gel is for .55 off not 1.00 in the 5/2 insert. Am I missing it or is it a typo or ? Thanks

  32. Tonia says:

Mine too. I’m in Buffalo and get the Star Trib delivered. Maybe its just my location.

  33. Anna Zwirn says:

The Old El Paso taco seasoning mix is $.66 at the West St. Paul Target. Where is it $.33?

  34. Tresa says:

Couple questions–Where do you find the Halle Berry spray? Can you use a BOGO coupon and another manufacturer coupon at the same time? My Target didn’t have the Stove Top or Old El Paso at these prices either. But I did get free Motrin, body washes and deodorant this morning! Thanks for the tips!

  35. yolanda says:

Watch the pantene products, they have started to go clearance, I found them 15% in Apple Valley but 25% in Red Wing. I didn’t realize that different Targets had item mark clearance at different times. I also got a great deal on the gillette body wash on the clearance endcap, $4/2, they were marked down to $1.52. Another heads up, the vaseline sheer infusion coupon for $3.75/1 expires 5/9/10, Target has it as a price cut for $4.79(my bottles also had travel size bottles attached), so for the fun of it I’m going to call it a freebie! :)

  36. Kristi says:

    I ran to target last night and got bounty paper towels($5.99-75-25=4.99), 4 gillette body washes ($1.52/ea=6.08-8.00 & 2 bogos= -4.96), 1 nivea body wash ($3.99-4.00= -.01), 6 degree deod.($2.04/ea=12.24-9.00=3.24), breyers ice cream (2.79), creamer pint ($1.11-55=.56), allergy med.(1.97), plastic cup thing(.78), 2 24 pks popsicles (1.92/ea=3.84) total after everything and $2.20 tax was $15.40

  37. Cindy says:

I didn’t have a $4.00 off coupon for Nivea in my Sunday paper. Only a $1.00 off for their lotion. I live in Woodbury. Did only certain areas have the $4.00?

    • Rachel says:

I didn’t get the $4 off either…just $1 like you. I live in White Bear Lake – from the pioneer press. I bought 2 Star Tribs at the gas station and they didn’t even have RP’s in them! Grrr. :)

  38. rochelle says:

Found gift wrap tissue on clearance for 28 cents and gift bags for 28 cent (small bag) 48 cents (large) and some larger sizes for a bit more.
Got 2 gillette fusion razors for 4.99 each. One had a target coupon for $4 off two on it. So used 2 manufacturers coupons for $4 off (recently expired 4/30 which was told at the store was okay before I used it), $4 off Target coupon, and Target get $5 gift card on 2. Which made this a $7 money maker.
*side note…don’t know if all Targets will allow this. This one allowed it because it was within the last week. Not all may allow it. My policy is ask first!

  39. Sarah K. says:

Went to target today and was able to get two 45 ounce Green works laundry detergents for $2.94 a piece.
They had them on clearance for 15% of bringing the price down to $5.94 and then I had two coupons for becoming a fan on facebook for $3 off each making them $2.94!
Had I used one of those coupons plus the one on Target.com to get the 90 ounce it would have cost $6.99 so I saved by buying two smaller ones because they added up to a price of $5.88.
I LOVE the smell of this detergent, but have stopped buying it because of the price, but was quite happy that I was able to get it this time :)
