You can download free episodes of “Adventures in Odyssey”, the Christian radio series, at their blog. These half-hour audio dramas are original stories with original music that use storytelling to teach life lessons and promote discussion among families.
Available episodes include “Bringing Up Dads,” “You Gotta Be Wise,” “Wishful Thinking,” and “Passages: Fletcher’s Rebellion, Parts 1 & 2.” You can also listen online to “Adventures in Odyssey” episodes every weekday or find a radio station near you that broadcasts new episodes.
You and your family could listen to these before bedtime, on road trips, for home schooling, or in Sunday School. There are summary and discussion questions available, too. These sound like a great alternative to watching DVDs in the car, don’t you think? Kids will have to listen, not just watch, to really understand the message.
Your turn: Have you and your kids ever listened to this radio series?

Love Odyssey!! We have a ton of these on CD that we have bought over the years. They are great for bedtime and road trips. I am downloading these now – thanks!
I love doing audio CDs in the car instead of DVDs. Odyssey is great, but it can be too intense for younger children. For preschoolers I highly recommend “The Pond”, also a radio drama with MANY episodes. We have 2 sets of 4 CDs each, for hours of listening, and my kids request them over and over!
Jessica,
I’ve never heard of “The Pond.” Is it by Focus on the Family too? Where can I find them?
Thanks.
I love Odyssey, lovedit since was a little girl. ‘m ready for my two little girls to hear it also. I have a few, but I think I’ll have to download all the episodes on my computer and burn them for them.
