Target Shopping List 4/11 – 4/17/10

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

Target’s weekly deals are hot this week, if you want to take advantage of their gift card promotions. Remember that you can buy products that generate a gift card, then go back into the store and either buy another set of those same products (if you have enough coupons and need them) or other items that will kick out a gift card. This is a way to lower what you spend out of pocket while you work to save money.

You’ll find all the on-going Target deals (and there are a ton of them) that have been mentioned in previous weeks on their own shopping list. It keeps things here from getting too cluttered up.

New to coupons at Target? You may want to take Target’s price matching policy and Target’s coupon policy with you to the store in case your cashier needs to see it for themselves. Comments

  1. Holly says:

I’m not sure if I’m missing something, but, on my BOGO Always coupon, it says “excludes Always Infinity” so I don’t think it will work. Thanks for the list, Carrie!

  2. Chrissy says:

so here is a question. Can you buy the shower starter and use towards one of your three the use the coupon for $5 gift card and then end up getting two $5 giftcards?

    • shannon says:

It says in the fine print on the q for buy 3 get $5 GC that the auto shower and the toilet gel are not included

  3. Chrissy says:

They also have the 18 ct Tide Stain release wash booster on sale 5.99 and the $3 off coupon is for a 15 ct or larger. I thought 2.99 was a pretty good deal on those.

    • Sarah says:

Chrissy where did you find the $3 off for the booster that states 15count or larger? Mine all say 34ct and the sale is on the 18 ct

    • Chrissy says:

I think it is 3/28 Red Plum

Mine says Save #3 on ONE LARGER size Tide Stain Release
      26-50oz Powder
      15-34ct Due Pac,
      or 36-68oz Lq.

      Hope this helps

  4. MichelleP says:

For the $3/3 Reach coupon, it says right on the coupon that you have to buy a floss, a Listerine AND a toothbrush, can’t just use it to buy 3 flosses. Bummer.

    • Leann says:

I used that coupon tonight and got 3 floss. No problems.

      • Joe says:

Ummm…just because you CAN use it improperly…….does that mean you should??
The words on the coupon tell you its proper use, not whether it “worked” or not.

        • Leann says:

Actually, I looked at it closely trying to decide what it meant. But the bold print at the top read “Buy any 3″ the smaller print mentioned the toothbrush and Listerine. I took it as “ANY” of the products. I was not trying to cheat them, I simply figured if my assumption was wrong they would tell me so. I had my $1/1 coupon along if that was the case.

  5. SarahBB says:

So, you can get the SC JOhnson rebate more than once– in fact for all deals that apply from above?

    • Cindy says:

Limit three SC Johnson $5 rebates per household. Each $5 rebate must be mailed separately.

    • Lisa ** says:

Yes, and I haven’t had an issues only having one original receipt as I did the three rebates with one purchase. Make sure to mail seperately. Have just made a copy and indicated “used original receipt for SC Johnson rebate”.

      • Sarah says:

I did send in 3 separate rebates with the same receipt copied. I received the first one back with the $5 check and the other 2 came back saying that they would not accept it until I completed it correctly and that I may please try again. You must include the original register receipt, not a copy!! Good luck!

        • Jamie says:

I mailed all 3 of mine in the same envelope and had no issues. The checks all came separately over the span of about two weeks but they all came eventually.

  6. Sarah says:

The ziploc slider bags were marked $2.29 on the shelf (the BOGO cpn actually has max value of $2.19), but rang up as $1.77 at the register.

    • Sarah says:

There is also a 1.00 off two in the 3/21 smart source can you use both? Fr example buy 4 total. Pay for 2@2.29 and get 2 free so for all four it’d be .89 a piece?

  7. Cindy says:

Thank you Carrie for the Glade deal idea! I usually try to predict what you are going to post for Target and Rainbow. I forgot about the rebate!

I got great deal on Starbucks ground coffee today..$4.50! I had a Target web coupon for $1.50 (expires 4/11) and a manufacturer coupon for $1. It was on sale for $7. I love getting a good deal on something that I usually consider a splurge.

    Thanks again!

  8. Cindy says:

Oh, one more good deal was on Colgate ProClinical toothpaste. It was on sale for $3.49 and I used a coupon from today’s paper for $1.50 off with a Target web coupon for $1 off.

  9. Cindy says:

Why do we need to buy two shower sprayer starter kits? Wouldn’t 1 + 2 refills qualify for the rebate and Target cpn off 3?

  10. Julie says:

The coke 20 oz bottles are $1.49 at my target.

  11. Amber says:

don’t see the buy one get one free coke coupon on Target’s web site…does anyone else?? I tried from a couple of computers.

    • Sue says:

      I didn’t see it either.
It seems like Target takes their coupons off their web site whenever they feel like it; not by expiration date or anything. It’s like as soon as a good deal is put on a blog, they take the coupon off. It happend with the towels and pillows to me recently. I’d like to know their guidelines for how long they keep their coupons on their web site, if they have such a thing.

  12. Leann says:

Could not find the GE Energy Smart Lightbulbs for $2.99 at the Ridgedale Target. They had some on sale for $5 though. I realize my Target is normally higher than others, but has anyone else found them for $2.99?

    • Lisa ** says:

In the past these have been the bulbs in the single boxes down the aisle a little way. They are not the ones that are hanging on the hooks at the start of the aisle which are usually around $5.

  13. Christie says:

They have a coupon for Lysol Healthy Touch No-Touch hand soap system starter kit $1 off on their website. Also there is a $5 coupon (sorry I am not sure what paper it was out of) Total price of $4.

    • Kierstien says:

has anyone found this product at their target?? I have looked and looked and can NOT find them. i have a $4 target q and $5 manuf cpuon and cant find the product :(

  14. Melissa says:

I do not have the glade relaxing moments coupons in my 4/11 SmartSource insert. Any ideas on how I can get these coupons?

  15. Brenda says:

Just saw a coupon on Target.com that says “buy 5 special K items get $5 off a woman’s swimsuit” Piggyback that on the deal above… I know the Eagan Target has 75% swimsuits already. Two pieces were about $4 each piece last week.

  16. Dawn M says:

I don’t see the refill coupon for the extend a clean scrubbing bubbles ? I see 8.00 worth under promotions? Can someone tell me what to do or go under to find it? thanks all

    • Jenny says:

I couldn’t find it either….I was only able to print the $8 worth of coupons.

    • Z says:

When you click on the link provided it takes you to the Scrubbing Bubbles home page where there are two offers at the bottom. The one on the left is the Q for the free refill with purchase and the one on the right takes you to the 8 dollar Q’s offer.

  17. Dawn M says:

On the Reach Floss . One of the Red Plum insert that I rec’d has the coupon as Reach Floss or Reach Access Flosser 1.00/1.

One of the Red Plum insert that I have has it as 1 listerine and Reach toothbrush and Reach Flosser.

So it just depends on which one you rec’d to determine what deal you can do. One redplum has JcPenny Optical cover and the other has Delmonte Fruit on the cover. Making the deal valid if you got the right coupon~

If you got the one with the Delmonte Fruit on the front then you have the buy any 3 get 3.00 off, however if you have the JcPenny Optical cover then you have the one that requires you to buy 3 different products.

    Hope this helps

  18. Dawn M says:

oops the delmonte is a 1.00 off floss making it free. so not any three but any one floss 1.00 off. sorry for the typo

  19. Melissa says:

I don’t understand how the gift card deals are a good idea. Aren’t you robbing peter to pay paul? Isn’t it the same for walgreens register rewards? I can see if you are getting the items for free and then getting a card or reward, but if the items aren’t free i don’t understand the savings. Am I missing something?

    • Dawn says:

You wouldn’t want to buy them just to get the $5 giftcard, but if they are items you buy anyway and use, then it just lowers the cost of that item – so the idea is that after the gift card, there is a savings over what you would normally spend on the same or similar items.

  20. Jenni says:

    FREE VEET PRODUCTS!!

If you go to http://www.veet.us/offers.php you can get a $3 off manufacturers coupon plus target has a web coupon for $3 off so you can get any product you want up to $6.

    • Sue says:

The coupon on the Target web site is also a Manufacturer’s Coupon, so you won’t be able to use both together.

      • Lala says:

You can use one Target coupon plus one Manufacturer Coupon at Target and yes it does work because I have used it now twice!

  21. Angela says:

Anyone know which Special K products are included in the GC promotion this week? Didn’t know which coupons I should look for to bring with!

  22. Erin says:

For the Gillette Fusion deal, could you buy a cartridge pack and a razor, use the “Gillette Fusion Razor, Any (1) Free WYB (1) Gillette Fusion Cartridge Pack” coupon in additon to the $4/1 Gillette Fusion Razor since the cartridges are also included in the gift card promotion? I’m not as familiar with Target’s coupon policy, whether or not you can use a coupon on a free item like you can at CVS.

    • Chrissy says:

I don’t think you can use the 4/1 coupon because you are getting the razor free. If it were the other way around and you got the cartridge free you would be able to use it.

    • Kristi says:

yes you can I asked and she said yep it works, I did this a few wks ago! I got a bunch of stuff and ended up paying less than the price of my cartridges for everything it was a good trip and I even asked the cashier so I know it was all ok.

  23. Rachelle says:

Went to Target today and found the Benadryl Itch Relief Sticks, they were 2.54 each.
so I paid .08cents for two! They’ll come in handy this summer

    • Marlo says:

The Benadryl Itch Relief Sticks were 2.29 at the Target in LV. I tried to use the $5/2 without success. Even after explaining to the lane manager (and showing her the coupon policy on the official Target website from my phone) she would not adjust the price of the coupon. Her argument was that the wording says the coupon “may” be adjusted and she wasn’t going to do that because the register didn’t accept the coupon and she was sure I could find an item that was over $2.50 to use the coupon with. I often have trouble at Target with this same issue. How can we make sure employees are educated in their own coupon policy?

  24. Lala says:

How did you get the Benadryl Itch Relief Sticks for such a great price?

  25. Susie says:

I have yet to find the Mighty Dog Food at Target; however, I have been finding it for the same listed price at Cub. Free dog food…yay! :)

  26. Rachelle says:

    I used $5/2 from 4/11 Red Plum (exp 7/31)
it includes Benedryl product, so I got 2 of the benedryl sticks (2.54 each)
so I had .08 left to pay!

  27. Karin says:

I went to the Crystal Target today and I did the Scrubbing Bubbles and Glade deals. I did two separate transactions so I’d have 2 receipts to send in for the rebate.

I bought 2 Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner cans for $2.99 each, plus there was a peelie for Save $2 now on any two Scrubbing Bubbles products! That was even better than the various 75 cent coupons I had. Then I bought 1 Scrubbing Bubbles Antibacterial Bathroom Wipes for $3.14 and used a 75 cent coupon. The original price for all three is $9.12, but with my coupons I paid $6.37 and then also used the coupon to get the $5 Target Gift Card, and then I mailed in the rebate for the $5 this evening (or I will forget).

For my second transaction I bought 3 Glade Relaxing Moments candles, which were $2.49 each. I used a $2/2 coupon and a 75 cent coupon, so it worked like mentioned above. With tax it was $5.26 so I used the $5 Target Gift Card and some change. Worked out quite nicely! Of course I also mailed in for this rebate too. Fun!

  28. Curt W says:

My Scrubbing Bubbles Deal @ Cedar & 66th in Richfield:

    Fantastik 2.39 + Scrubbing Bubbles 2.99 + Scrubbing Bubbles 2.49

    Minus .75 x 3

    Subtotal 5.62+.57tax = $6.19

    So: $6.19 – $5 GC – $5 Rebate + $.44 stamp = I got PAID $3.37

Is Fantastik really part of the scrubbing bubbles sale?

    • Erin says:

The Fantastik bottles do have the Scrubbing Bubbles logo on them. I noticed that yesterday at Target, but didn’t do the deal since I wasn’t sure if they would count or not.

      • Nicole says:

They (Fantastik) do NOT. They are all made by the same company, and the coupons are the same in appearance AND they look the same on the shelf, BUT Target did not print they are EXCLUDED and the Target manager at Woodbury acted like I was a criminal trying to rip them off because I bought one Fantastik. “These just HAVE Scrubbing Bubbles in them, but they aren’t Scrubbing Bubbles” (I was tempted to respond: NOTHING is “Scrubbing Bubbles” technically if that is your definition…) I never get the “survey” on the receipt when someone is a total meanie. Anyway, I know it’s SC Johnson’s problem that they crossmarket as if they ARE all one thing and Target can’t predict that. I just wish the management at the Woodbury Target was as nice as most of their cashiers…sheesh… (And yes, I know, report her behavior…it is misleading and it was a reasonable reading of the promotion)…anyway, do NOT expect the Fantastiks to count as a cashier can’t override it and the managers must have been warned not to give it to you anyway (yet they don’t bother to put a sign in the aisle to prevent this confusion…)

      • Jodi says:

I was able to use a Fantastik as part of the deal at the St. Cloud Target

  30. Angela says:

I went to Target tonight and the Pepperidge Farms cookies all had Target peelie stickers on them for $1.00 off of 2. I ended up paying $3.00 for 2 packages, I had a manufacturer coupon to add to the Target one.

  31. Erin says:

Only Special K products are included in the $5 gift card deal so from what I saw at Target yesterday, none of the cereal coupons listed above would work because they are for other Kellogg’s cereals. Same with the Pop Tart coupons.

  32. Mike says:

Where do I get the $1/1 GE Energy Smart printable coupon? There is no link to it above.

  33. valrie says:

For Fusion or Venus Embrace Manual Razors or Cartridges deal, can I buy 2 Fusion razors and 2 cartridges then use 2 $ 4 off cartridges coupon and 2 buy one cartridge and get one razor free coupon? Will I be able to get two $5 gift cards if I buy them in one single transacton?

    thanks!

  34. valrie says:

never mind. just realized that it was asked and answered. And I got the $4 off coupon wrong..it is for razor, not for cartridges..

  35. Amanda says:

The GE Energy Smart printable cpn is at coupons.com

  36. Stacy says:

Windex.com has a $2.50 off of the outdoor starter kit. Can I use that coupon and still get hte $5 GC from Target or are they both considered “manufacturer” coupons?

  37. Stacy says:

I went to Target and used the $2.50 coupon for the Windex Outdoor Starter Kit. With the $5 GC my $12.99 price turned into $5.49.

  38. david says:

i stupidly threw out the 4/11 insert before grabbing this valuable $5 coupon…ive tried printing one online thru so-called valid links (right at home, etc) but to no avail.

any advice (other than to NOT have thrown away the newspaper insert, which i wont do again so early)?

    thanks…

  39. Rachelle says:

I found Gillete Fusion Razor on clearance for 2.48, I used a $4.00 off coupon on any Gillete Fusion Razor(I cant remember which week the coupon came in, I believe it was a smartsource)
So I mad money for buying a razor for my hubby!!

  40. JoAnna says:

My SS 4/11 insert does not have the q for $5 gc with purchase of 3 Scrubbing Bubbles products and it also does not have the bogo ziploc q. I’m bummed–my inserts have always matched Carrie’s deals.

  41. Elizabeth says:

I was at the Monticello Target and they had the tubs of Huggies Wipe on price cut for $1.66 (normally $2.60ish?) I get coupon from Huggies and the ones I had were for $1 off. I paid $.66 for a tub of 72 wipes.

  42. Kristy says:

I just found a Target coupon for my family’s favorite hashbrowns. Right now on http://www.mr-dees.com you can print a $0.50 coupon to use towards their hashbrown patties at any Super Target. They are similar to a McDonald’s hashbrown. We throw them on the grill in the summer and they make a great side.

  43. Teresa says:

Nice deal on Shout spray bottles today. Target has them marked at $2.24 each. The bottles have a hanging coupon $.55/1 around their neck. I bought three for a total of $5.07. Will submit for the $5 SC Johnson rebate. Total $.07 for three spray bottles of Shout.

  44. Amber says:

FYI I went to the Stillwater Target today and the Vaseline Sheer Infusion Lotion was $5.99, not $4.99…therefore, it would be $1.24 :-( Not sure if this is how it is at other Targets.

  45. Amy says:

Heads up to Uncrustable fans–the Maple Grove Target has them on sale for $1.00 a box! I love these for picnics as they keep things cool and thaw in time to eat. They are a great treat for my kids.

I know there was a coupon out there in Feb., but I have already used mine.

  46. Karen says:

Mankato Target (and maybe yours) had Nivea lip care products discounted. They were with the other products. I had a Target coupon for $1.00 off (it was from a direct mailer) so it was $.50 for a 2 pack.

Also in Mankato clearance were Olay body washes for $2.64 (marked down from $5.99)
and I was able to use a $1.50 Target coupon and a $1.00 manufacturer coupon.

  47. SandraT says:

    ***Deal idea #2*** above
how are we getting $4.73 Because Im getting 5.48 what am I donig Wrong? aslo are there any good POP deals

  48. JoAnna says:

    Good deals today at Chaska:

Frenchs mustard–regular yellow comes with free honey dipping mustard. It is $1.54. There is a q for $1 off dipping mustard and q for 50 cents off regular mustard–so you get both for .04!

Buitonni meal for 2 on sale for $7.49: Target web q for $1.50 off and a $1.50 q in May All You. So it was $4.49 (bought crab lobster raviloi for a fancy meal).

Venus embrace: better deal to buy 2 razors ($14) for the razors and 4 cartridges (then you get $5 gc). Otherwise you spend $15.99 for pkg of 4 cartridges and you don’t get a gc!

Hope that all makes sense :)

  49. Heather says:

I tried the Scrubbing Bubbles Extend-A-Clean deal and the cashier would only let me use the target coupon with the $5 coupon- but wouldn’t take the free refill coupons…since I already used manufacturer coupons… Anyone else have this issue? She said I was using too many manufacturer coupons…

    • Katherine says:

Heather – It does always depend on your cashier, but always call over a manager! You wouldn’t have been using too many coupons as that coupon was for the free refill and you are allowed one manufacturer coupon per item. It’s such a shame when cashiers think they know everything and ring you up according to their mood!

  50. Susan says:

The Glade (or shout) deal gets even better – last month’s Real Simple has a coupon “buy 5 get a $5 gift card at Target” tear-out coupon. There were a few other brands included, but I don’t have the actual coupon on me right now.

    • sandra says:
