Stop by your local Subway on Friday, April 30 before 11am to pick up a free breakfast melt. Yum! Participating Subway restaurants throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin are hosting this Free Breakfast Day to celebrate the launch of the new breakfast menu.
I (Laura) am convinced that there are more Subway locations in the U.S. than McDonald’s because it seems like every town, no matter how small, has a Subway. For example, I can think of at least seven Subway locations within a ten-minute drive of my house. It shouldn’t be a problem for you to find a Subway location close to you, right?
Your turn: What do you think of Subway’s new breakfast menu?

I work at a Panera that’s right by a Subway and we went to try the new sandwiches and didn’t like them. I love Subway otherwise! One of my favorites!
Laura- You are correct that there are more Subways than McDonalds. I was just reading something that they are the largest chain in the WORLD! 32,000 some locations in 90 some countries.
We have 4 Subway restaurants in our small city.
Laura, I love this website! How could I find out if they might also offer this in Texas?
Teresa – Thanks! Unfortunately, only Minnesota and Wisconsin locations are participating right now. I’m guessing it’s a franchise thing. Maybe there will be something nationwide in the future…? Sorry!
do you need a coupon or something off of their website….or do you just show up at the store?
It doesn’t sound like you need a coupon or anything. Check out this site for other coupons if you are interested: http://twincities.subwayfreshbuzz.com/
These sandwiches are great! My favorite is the Western Egg & Cheese!
Had heard about this deal perfect time to try out the sandwich. we really like subway besides that but have never tried breakfast, of course we don’t really eat out too often, but free is my price. I plan on going after I drop off the oldest at kindergarten and also telling the hubby so he can stop on his way to work.
My husband and I tried the flatbread breakfast sandwiches last week. He had a regular omelet on it with bacon and cheese and I had an egg white omelet with red onion and shredded mozzarella(which I actually added at home). We thought they were very good, the bread was soft and warm and the eggs were cooked perfectly. I am gratified that those of us with high cholesterol can have the option for an egg white omelet. I’m looking forward to trying the english muffin kind on Friday.
I am in Iowa and we are having the same deal tomorrow.
WOW, I’m impressed with Subway (EP on Anderson Lakes Pkwy)
Got there when it opened and they were fully staffed and the line when very fast.
Jarred was even there with a film crew (possible future commercial)
Had the egg and sausage and was delicious!!!
I had heard that this was going to be offered every Friday during the Month of May? Anyone else hear that? I haven’t gotten there and would love to try the egg white options. Love the idea of a healthier option to fast food breakfast.
The location in Bloomington said that this was a one time thing.
They are having a deal every Friday in May, buy any sandwich and get a free english muffin melt from when they open to 11am.
Tried to go to Subway in New Brighton at 10:45 and it was a nightmare. Having two small children in tow, I decided it wasn’t worth the wait.
no line for me this morning! Also got a approx. 4 oz. sample of hot coffee! Then I went to McDonalds with my free small Frappe coupon .. perfect way to start a garage sale-ing shopping morning! :)
Someone at the Burnsville Subway across from my apartment won free Subway food for a year because she “found” Jared. Apparently she raced in from another part of town to win. If I had known I would have gotten out of bed for that, lol.
The subway in Cambridge is advertising a free breakfast EVERY friday in May!
I am checking with a contact with Subway folks responsible for this midwest region to see if that free sandwich on Fridays in May offer is broader than just the Cambridge store
Month’s later, now we know. “Eating fresh” for breakfast at Subway involves precooked eggs, shipped in from ???, and warmed up. In my house we call things warmed up from the frig leftovers. Do you serve leftovers to company? Subway does. Why doesn’t Subway just cut to the chase and serve powdered eggs? Cut that middleman frig out!
