Menards Shopping List: Two Free-After-Rebate Items and More Deals

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

Menards mail-in-rebate program is a great way to get home repair items free. This list doesn’t include all items that have a rebate, but only those that have a really good bottom line price (usually this means at least 75% off retail). These deals must be purchased by May 2 and then you have a short window after that to submit your rebate forms.

If you purchase a free-after-rebate item, then you’ll need to buy $10 in non-rebated items. It never seems hard for my family to find $10 in things we need at Menards, especially in the springtime (one $10 purchase per transaction, not per rebate item). The requirement to purchase $10 in non-rebated items only applies if you buy a free-after-rebate item. This week we’d stock up on kitchen trash bags for our $10 in products.

I have become a Menards junkie these past few weeks! I love stocking up on these free items. I buy them (if they are free after rebate) if we need them or not. I’m looking forward to getting all my rebates back to buy a nice patio set.

Another good deal we got was the generic Duct tape. I believe it was 79 cents (after $2 rebate) for 60 yards. Limit of 4.

Ooh, one more thing… I noticed Menards had Roberts brand milk for $2.35 (1%). Use 50c coupon to make it only $1.85 for a gallon!!

If you love roses, they have some wonderful roses (bare root) for $1.99 after rebate. I thought I stole them last year at $2.29 each, and bought 10. All but one are coming back wonderfully! So on Saturday I got 6 more (limit six with rebate, otherwise they’re $3.49 I think?), and many of them already had leaves on them! I’m so excited, I think I’m going to put one in a beautiful pot for my sister for mothers day. I LOVE Menards!

Thank you for this – I will be landscaping soon and might be able to put in some roses! What a great idea to use them for Mother’s Day!

  5. Jane says:

Anyone know of a good deal on landscaping mulch??

Jane ~ I like to pay $1.99 – 2.29 a bag. I have not seen it cheaper than that. Right now Menards has mulch 2 for $5.00. I ended up paying the 2 for $5.00 price but then had a 10% off lowes coupon. We had to buy it earlier this year and did not have a chance to get a good sale.
