CLOSED – Giveaway: $25 T.J. Maxx Gift Card (Ends 4/6)

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

First of all, Laura and I want to thank everyone who attended the Meet & Greet Tuesday night. We were overwhelmed by the number of people that wanted to attend, the enthusiasm of everyone there, and the huge amount of nonperishable food items that were donated. We hope that you all enjoyed the event and the goodies in your swag bags. We will be sharing a recap of the night soon, but you can check out the pictures on our Flickr page to get a flavor of the event and see more shots of the cute duds. (A huge thanks to Shannon Steffens of My Candid Moments for donating her time to photograph the event)

When TJ Maxx and Marshall’s heard about the Meet & Greet they generously gave Laura and I some gift cards we used toward new duds. Carrie got a David Brooks top, Liz Claiborne slacks and Laura got a Carole Little tank top (in such a cute print!) and Bette Paige cropped sweater. All four pieces cost less than $75, but made us look like a million. They also gave two $25 gift cards as door prizes for Meet & Greet guests. Good news though, their generosity does not stop there.

T.J. Maxx wants to give another Pocket Your Dollars’ reader a chance to win a $25 gift card. You can spruce up your spring wardrobe with name brand clothes, plus it helps those that didn’t attend the Meet & Greet get in on the freebie fun. (Did you know that a TJ Maxx gift card can be used at Marshall’s too?)

I’ve found the best way to economically spruce up a wardrobe is to go treasure hunting at thrift stores and gently used clothing stores — you can find some terrific accessories and pieces, both vintage and modern, with just a little patience and time. Thanks!

I love clearance finds coupled with coupons and I’m with the other ladies about accessories. I got a cute floral pair of ballet flats at Target that updates my t-shirt and jeans look. Add a cute scarf or awesome necklace and you’re good to go.

  26. Barbara Long says:

I spruce up my wardrobe by buying items on clearance at the end of the season.

  27. Auriette says:

When I go shopping for clothes, I always go to the clearance rack first. I’ve gotten some great buys on designer clothes, sometimes paying less than 10% of the original price (which, let’s face it, is about all I can afford).

  28. Becky Grady says:

If you can’t afford the latest passing fad, stick to the classics. To jazz it up, add a trendy accessory, or paint your nails a bright, funky color.

    Thanks!
