Free Photo Book from HotPrints (Includes Free Shipping)

HotPrints is a fairly new website where each month they offer a totally free photo deal, including free shipping. This month you can get a HotBook, as they are called, which is a 16-page, 8 x 10 photo book. Your book will have one page in it of advertising and printing on the back cover; that’s how they’re able to give it to you free. Nonetheless, for personal scrapbooking-type use I think it would be just fine.

I have not yet received one of these, but have heard great things about them from some of my friends.

Your turn: What do you think of HotPrints and their HotBooks?

I am passionate about helping people keep their money where it belongs - in their pocket. I live in Minneapolis, MN with my husband and two little girls.

I love being able to find way to make my money stretch, with 4 kids.

It’s not working for me :(. It says Please enter the correct reCAPTCHA words & I am not sure what that means? Anyone else having this problem or know the solution? I just had a baby this week- so I would love to use this deal!:)

the reCAPTCHA words are the goofy looking words in the box at the bottom that you need to type, so they know it’s a person sending the request and not a computer program.

I got my first book last week. It was very nice for free and the advertising they have in it is real easy to pull out around the middle staples. It is on nice quality cardstock. I haven’t figured out how to put captions by my pictures yet, though. I’ve created my second book but it takes about 3 weeks to get them. It is nice to get a free book each month.

If u double click on the little caption box as you are creating your book, a box will open…u can change font, colour and size. :)

Tiffany-Congrats! A captcha is where you type the words you see in the box to make sure your not a computer.
Diane-there are layouts you have to look for that have caption boxes.

I just received my first one and everyone loves it and can not believe it was free! Great quality. I also believe you can get one a month.

I signed up but haven’t received my confirmation email yet. Did it take a long time (hour+) for anybody else?

I got my first one last week and gave it to my parents for an Easter gift with pictures of all the grandkids – they loved it!

It wasn’t as user-friendly as shutterfly or Photoworks, but I LOVE getting free photo stuff – so it was worth the extra effort for me.

I got that “please enter reCapcha code” thing but there was no code for me to type (I’ve gone this before and know what it should look like). Any ideas?

  8. Jessica

Never mind. I used a different link to sign up and it is there.

So far I am not a fan. I made my first book in the beginning of March. I got an e-mail from them March 11 saying they were sorry about the delay but my book would be sent in a couple of days. I still haven’t gotten the book. I went to the HotPrints Help Desk site and opened up a request. It’s been 4 days and I haven’t heard a single thing from them. I am not going to make an April book until I see that I actually get the March book!

I’ve created upwards of five free books, and the first three arrived very quickly. The last one I ordered in December, but didn’t arrive until the first week of January. Why? They ship from the UK. It takes time, but, trust me, you’ll get your book. :)

Thanks for the help ladies! They didn’t have the words to type in yesterday when I tried – but today it worked :)

I signed up yesterday & still haven’t received the confirmation email yet….

I signed up (yesterday) and was told right away I qualified for one free Hot Book every month. There was no confirmation email or anything. I made the book last night. It took some figuring out, but I finally got it done! I don’t think their web site is very clear. I tried looking for my order after I finished the book, just to make sure it went through. I don’t see anywhere on their site about account information, shopping cart, etc. But I did get an e-mail thanking me for my order and saying they usually ship orders within 3 days of completion.
    We’ll see…

I got my HotBook today finally! It is pretty cool. I think it looks more like a magazine than a book. Kind of fun since it’s totally free.

Finally went thru Firefox and got into Hotprints! I am so excited about the photo book I made for my mom for Mother’s Day. Can’t wait to make another one next month! This was a huge blessing to me Carrie, to be able to make a gift that my mom will love and have it be free-well that is a God thing!

I can’t get this site to work. I am trying to upload the pictures that I want from my computer, but it seems the only option is to use facebook or something called Bebe. I am making one of my daycare kids, and so I don’t want to put the pictures on facebook. Does anyone know how to upload pictures from the computer?

    1. Sue

I just did one using photos from my computer. Under select source, you use Hotprints, then click on the Select Photos button. Files from my computer then appear in a box. It worked form me – hope it works for you, too!
