To keep all the store-specific deals together and avoid a deluge of new posts with each individual deal, we (well, Laura really) updated each store’s shopping list to include all the deals we’ve heard about across the blogosphere, that readers have left in the comments and that folks have emailed us about.
New and updated items, since the list was originally posted earlier in the week, are clearly noted so it is quick and easy for you to take a look:
Rainbow Foods, Pick N Save, Copps Shopping List
Based on feedback you provided us about how to share store-specific updates with you we are trying this approach. Ideally, we’d send out a reminder like this one once or twice throughout the week, as we make substantial changes, and encourage you to go to the actual shopping lists for the details.
Your turn: This is our first time sending an update like this. What do you think? Like it? Dislike it? Wish we sent each deal out as a separate post or article? Other ideas?

Thank you!
Personally, I would rather see each new deal in a separate post. I read posts in my google feed reader, and it’s easier for me to scroll through that way and see if there are deals that interest me. The weekly update post is fine, but it’s more cumbersome for me to click on each link for each shopping list and then scroll through each one to find the updated deals. Thanks for all your hard work.
I agree–it would be nice if the new deals were listed in this update (and on the list itself). I don’t know how hard that is though!
Also–I checked out the Cub list but didn’t see any updates. Did I miss something??
Thanks!
I disagree – it’s nice to keep everything together on one list for that store for the week. Then when planning, I only have to look at one post & comments vs multiple posts. I think Carrie/Laura do a nice job of indicating which items are new to the original list. I’m personally less likely to miss a deal when it’s all compiled in one spot.
I agree also! I think both places would be helpful.
JoAnna,
The new deals are written with the words **NEW** highlighted in red.
I did see the new red items on the Target list but not the Cub list.
That’s because there weren’t any. :)
Laura–Good to know, thanks.
Is it possible to only inclusde links to lists that have actually been updated? I thought if there was a link (within the post regarding updates) that there would be an update.
JoAnna – That’s a good idea. I guess the only change I made was crossing off expired or out-of-print coupons, but that doesn’t warrant a complete list update.
