Toy Story 1 and 2 Blu-Ray Combo Packs: $6.99 Each at Target (Expires 3/27)

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

Toy Story fever has hit. Toy Story 3 is coming out this summer and the DVDs for the first and second Toy Story movies are on sale at rock bottom prices this week (sorry this is late in getting posted. Yesterday I was busy running errands in preparation for Tuesday’s Meet & Greet event).

Here’s how to pick up two combo packs, which include both a DVD and Blu-Ray, for $6.99 each:

—If you have Toy Story 1 or 2 at home on VHS (what’s VHS??) or DVD, then go to Disney Reward’s website to enter the UPC and get a $10 off coupon if you upgrade to a Blu-Ray combo pack

— Bring the entire Toys R Us ad from last Sunday’s paper to any Target store for a price match. I included the link to the online version so you can see the prices for yourself, but you need the actual sales flyer from the paper. A computer printout won’t work.

— Buy the  combo packs of Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 2. Request a price match to the Toys R Us price of $16.99 each. Select packages contain tickets to see Toy Story 3 in theaters when it’s released this summer, so be sure to grab those.

— Receive $10 off instantly at checkout when you buy both, per Target’s weekly sales flyer from last Sunday.

— Use the $10 off manufacturer-issued coupon from the Disney site, if you qualify to print it.

Final price after price match, instant discount and manufacturer’s coupon will be $6.99 each for the two combo packs, that’s $13.98 for both. Plus, you’ll get two tickets to see Toy Story 3 this summer.

Your turn: Where else and how else did you get a great deal on these movies?

Where do you find the coupon on the movie rewards website, I am logged in and not finding it!

  2. Heather says:

I didn’t have the Sunday insert for Toys R us so I called my local target and talked to a store manager to see if they would accept an internet print out. They said it’s not something they usually do but as long as I brought then entire ad they would accept it. So you might try talking to your local Target to see if they’ll accept it.

Along with getting each movie for $16.99 I got the $10 off Target promo, plus I printed out a $10 off coupon for Toy Story 1 combo and separate $10 off coupon for Toy Story 2 (off of the Disney Rewards site) bringing my grand total to $5.98 for BOTH movies combined!

  3. Lori says:

Wouldn’t that bring the grand total to 3.98 for both? 16.99 (price match x 2) = 33.98. Then subtract the 2 10.00 coupons(one for Toy Story 1 and one for Toy Story 2) from Disney website, subtract 10.00 that target automactically takes off bringing total down to 3.98 for both. Now I need to make a Target stop!!

  4. Angela B says:

FYI – I did this deal yesterday and not all guest services workers will let it go through. The explanation I got from one manager who refused it was that the TRU price is not an “outright sale,” because it depends on you buying both. The girl at the Shoreview SuperTarget did it for me with no question, though. And yes – it’s $3.98 for both + tax. My total was $5.64 (don’t forget to bring your own bag for $0.05 more off this incredible deal).

  5. Lori says:

Now that I look at the ads closer, Target and Toys R Us are just presenting the “buy 2 and Save 10.00 in different ways. Toys R Us is listing 21.99 but buy 2 and pay 16.99 each-saving 10.00 by buying both. This is basically what Target has only their base price is 22.99 and then a note saying *save $10 instantly when you buy both 1 and 2) So Target’s buy 2 price is 17.99 each as opposed to Toys R Us 16.99 each. Target shouldn’t be giving the additional 10.00 off the matched price of 16.99. So the cheapest you could get would be the 6.99 each just as Carrie printed. Still a great deal with a movie ticket!

  6. Kay says:

If we don’t have the VHS or DVD already, can we still get a $10 discount?

  7. Priscilla says:

I didn’t have a TRU ad, but did get the $10 off coupons. So the deal was pretty nice for me, combined with some of the $5 gift cards that I have accumulated lately & it was barely any out of pocket for me.

  8. TheRevRuss says:

I hate to be a stickler here, but the price at Toys R Us is not actually $16.99 each – they’re technically $21.99 each and like Target, you save $10 by buying them both at the same time. I think Heather got lucky because basically she got the $10 off twice. I don’t know that all the Targets would let that slip by – but it’s worth a shot.

  9. Heather says:

Target (at least the one I went to) was still automatically giving the $10 discount that was in their ad, I asked them about it. I believe it was because of how the ad was written. In Target’s ad it stated that you received $10 off it you bought both movies, the Toyr R Us ad had a discounted price of $16.99 if you bought both movies (even if it was a $10 discount it showed a discounted price for the item, not a dollar off amount, does that make sense?)

I should’ve clarified that my total was $5.98 with tax. Even if it should have been a few cents cheaper I’m not going to complain, it was a great deal and they were very kind to be willing to adjust things for me.

  10. Amy M says:

I can’t get the link to appear on Disney Movie Rewards either. I see the promo page but can’t do anything – I’ve tried on IE and FF.

    • Amy M says:

I just tried calling the Disney Guest Services line and they are closed on the weekends.

      • Monica says:

Disney is complicated. On the home page, after you sign in, you should see a box on the right that says enter code or something to that effect. Every time you buy a Disney movie, this is the box you enter a UPC code in. Hope that helps! Also, if you can’t find your old VHS tapes, look online for UPC code. Very easy to locate.

    • Kristi says:

go to the top of the page and click account then it should redirect you, I did that but forgot my password so waiting on it to be emailed.

  11. lori says:

Click on Carries link…Then you have to fill out your info on the Disney site to become a member. Once that is done go “how it works”from the top tool bar. Then pick “enter codes”. When you enter the Toy Story UPC code then the screen comes up to print your coupon. Good Luck!

  12. Jen says:

Thanks Lori! It worked. Woo Hoo! I’m off to Target! :O)

  13. Kira C says:

I did pretty good at Toys R Us too… I did have both $10 off coupons, plus a TRU $5 off/$25 purchase coupon that came in the mail a few weeks ago and is valid starting today. So I got both dvd packs for $16.99 ea, then the $5 coupon took $2.50 off per dvd, bringing each down to appx 14.49, then with the $10 off coupons I paid a total of $4.49 each. If you do this just be sure to hand the cashier the $5 coupon before the $10 ones or it won’t ring in right.

  14. Kristi says:

Friday & Saturday (3/26-3/27) only flier, movies at TRU are bogo, I don’t have the ad I seen it at work lastnight.

  15. Jenny says:

I tried it at my Target and it was a no go. It was only going to be a savings of 2 dollars. The explaination I got was that they don’t do a price match on combo packs. So, to clarify on their price match policy:
not on buy one get one free
not on anything that requires a loyalty card
    not on percentage off promotions
    not on combo packs

am I missing anything on what has turned out to be a BARELY price matching policy??
    grrrrrrr.

  16. Suzi Q says:

Could NOT get the Disney coupons to work….every time I entered the UPC’s it would say it was an invalid code, but no special offer banner popped up!!! FRUSTRATING as I have BOTH Toy Story 1 & 2. I tried so many times it finally said that I had entered too many invalid codes and so I would have to try again tomorrow!!!!!!

I tired on FF and Google Chrome….

Tried turning off pop up blocker, that did not help….

    • Paulette says:

I just typed the VHS codes in where you normally put in the reward code. There was no special screen or pop up.

  17. Erin says:

On Disney’s Reward site, I don’t think you can enter codes from VHS. I tried and it didn’t take it. Am I right about that or is there some other spot on the website I should be clicking on? I have a 13 yr old ds and we have all the old Disney VHS!

    • Suzi Q says:

I never could get the UPC codes from my dvds to work. I finally used codes I found online elsewhere online. (Someone posted them on the PYD Facebok page) Those codes finally worked. I was really frustrated because I wanted to take advantage of the Target sale price TODAY and Disney Movie Rewards won’t get back to me til next week. I cant even enter my new Toy Story codes because I am locked out until tomorrow since I tried so many times with “Invalid” codes. :(

I didn’t have the TRU ad, but two blu ray movies, two dvds, two dvd rom games, two movie tickets AND the Movie rewards points for $15.98 is STILL pretty good!!

  18. lisa says:

OH. MY. GOODNESS!! That was incredibly fun! 2 movie combos for $5.69.
Unbelievable! My teenage son did have to help me out with the Disney site as I was struggling to find the place to enter codes. But it took my VHS codes beautifully. :) Thanks Carrie!!!

  19. Val says:

I got my free movie tickets when i entered my codes but never saw anything for the $10. coupons. Wondering what I missed and how to get them…

  20. Paulette says:

the 10$ coupons are for when you enter the UPC from your VHS tapes.

I just did this today and got both $10 off coups plus $10 off at Target. So I got both for about $15 total! Then I got codes for 2 free movie tickets just now when I entered my reward point codes! Yayyyy now we can finally take our kids to the movies. My oldest is 8 and she has never been to a movie in a theater. It is not something we have chosen to spend $ on up until now. SOOOO excited!

  21. Nicole says:

Of course, the downside of this deal? Having to get Toy Story toys for my now-obsessed 2 1/2 year old. Upside? Target in Woodbury was having a CLEARANCE on lots of said toys this past week. So, take a trip to the clearance area of toys (and also where the Toy Story toys were). Seems you can get a Buzz, a Woody, and a Slinky Dog at pretty good prices, in case they are NOW necessary add-ons to the Easter Baskets…

  22. Maggie says:

I also had a 10% discount card for using my Target Visa so I actually got paid by $.31 per movie. It didn’t dawn on me that we shouldn’t have asked for the $16.99 price match until after I got home last night and read the comments. Which makes sense. This was my first price matching trip at Target. The girl at customer service didn’t say anything either.

    • Maggie says:

I guess I had to pay tax so I still paid a little something in the end. But less than a $1 to upgrade my VHS to Blu-Ray.

  23. Levy says:

I read this post at 8pm last night and i have to call around for someone who got toy story dvd. I end up running to toys r us at 9:30 pm just to get the deal…almost missed this good deal…

  24. randi says:

does anybody have a upc code they won’t be using? my husband throws away all the cases to our movies, and therefor, no UPC’s!! Thanks!

  25. Levy says:

how did you guys got two free movie tickets?i entered the UPC of both toy story 1 and toy story 2 but it only let me print one movie certificate..

randi try these link there’s 2 codes posted here:http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100323134347AAhNBqq
