Target Shopping List 2/28 – 3/6/10

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

My favorite deals this week include the $10 Target gift card with transferred prescription (after my kids have had three ear infections and chicken pox in the past five weeks), free light bulbs and almost-free Glade plug-ins.

***ATTENTION TARGET SHOPPERS***

We are trying something new this week with the Target list by separating the week-long deals and newly found on-going deals from the on-going deals that have been previously mentioned. On-going deals that have been previously mentioned now have their own post and will remain at the top of the list of posts when click “Shopping List/Target” from the main navigation. Do you like or dislike this organizational approach and why do you feel that way?

New to coupons at Target? You may want to take Target’s price matching policy and Target’s coupon policy with you to the store in case your cashier needs to see it for themselves.

  1. Susie says:

I can’t seem to find the Target coupon for $1/1 California pizzas. Anyone else finding it? Thanks!

    • Robyn says:

I used this on Friday. I don’t know if she’s referring to another separate coupon, but the $1 off one that I got was from a former web coupon (might’ve been last week or the week before.

  2. Anita says:

WARNING: the KAshi q takes up the entire page and prints at the bottom.

  3. Dawn M says:

I know this isn’t relate but was there only a smart source this week in the paper. No Red Plum? I get both Mpls and PP papers?
    Thanks

    • Melissa E says:

yup – there was only the 1 SS insert this weekend. :( i thought i missed out too, but apparently not.

      • Cara says:

Us too – we live in Apple Valley and I check with my mom who lives in Coon Rapids and she only got on too!

  4. Gail says:

The prescription coupon does not apply to scripts that are not refillable. You have to sign on to auto-fill to get the $10 gift card.

    • Jo says:

That is new for them – usually it is any new prescription. They match any other so Walgreens offers $10 anyday and CVS also offers to match any coupons for $10 or transfer/new scripts. Remind them of that.

    • Mark says:

Prairie Stone Pharmacy at Lund’s/Byerly’s offers a $25 Lunds/Byerly’s gift card with new or transferred prescriptions. The coupons are usually on the pharmacy counter.

  5. amanda says:

    Carrie,
I just got a vocal point mailer for Heart to Heart crackers in the mail. It had a free cereal sample and 1 coupon for a free box of Heart to Heart crackers. Also contained several 1.50 off coupons. This would work great on the cracker deal

    • Shelly says:

Amanda – I got that sample and coupons as well! So, do you think we can still do the buy 4 and get one free even if we’re already getting 1 free due to the coupon? That would be really nice!

    • Theresa K. says:

oh, I loved that Vocalpoint mailer! I hooked on that cereal now. I treasured all my $1.50 coupons and now their gone. Still, I often find Kashi coupons and good sales on the cereal at Rainbow and Target. Enjoy!

  6. amanda says:

The oatmeal coupon will not allow any prints :(

  7. Jessica says:

How do we know the Olay body wash deal is ongoing (with the $5 Gift card)? I have not been able to find any indication of this deal at the store or flier. Thanks!

    • Kierstien says:

when you go to your store scan one of the body washes in the little price check kiosks… if there is a gc deal on it it will say on there, HTH!

      • Lynn says:

I just did the razor/olay deal at Target and did not get a gift card. Will defiintely send in for the olay rebate.

    • Valerie Y says:

Jessica, My daughter just did the Olay body wash Gift card deal today at a Target in Chicago. It worked for her. She got 3 body washes and got a $5 GC.

  8. erin says:

I don’t suppose anyone knows of any Glade coupons that would make the 3 Glade Candles/$5 SC Johnson rebate an even better deal?

  9. Cindi says:

Is anyone else still having trouble printing Target coupons since Target made some kind of change awhile back? I was able to print them up until then. Now the response I get is “Unfortunately, you’re trying to print to a device that is not valid for printing coupons. Please check your print setting to make sure your default printer is a standard printer and has paper. “

    • Cathy says:

I also have been having problems with that since they made the switch. Not sure why, but I haven’t been able to print any of the Target ones since then.

  10. Dawn M says:

The Joy dish soap doesn’t calculate right. Should it be 59 cents or is there another coupon or ?

  11. Holly says:

I could not find the 8.4 oz Gillette body wash for $1.99… only the 12 oz for $3.99 (Shakopee Target) anyone have any luck finding it, at another Target location, or should I be looking in the travel section?

    • Susie says:

Look in the section that would ordinarily carry it, then head towards the end cap…there’s a little shelf that sticks out before the end cap that has them for $1.99. HTH

    • AJ says:

      Holly,

I also found the 1.99 Gillette’s on the “side” of an end cap. Look near the body soaps and body washes not the travel section. Also look down, as the Elk River’s Target had them on a shelf that was maybe only knee high. Good luck!

    • amy says:

      Holly,

I too had trouble finding the 8 oz size bodywash. I eventually located it on a mini end-cap near the make-up..many aisles away from all the other bodywash. It may take some searching but worth it for the price :)

  12. Holly says:

I should add, the gillette body wash was listed under ongoing deals I believe…

  13. Dawn M says:

Is there other oatmeal coupons? I thought there was some but not sure on where.

  14. Kim says:

    Price matching:
I price-matched last week with the Walgreens ad for Trident at 99cents and had a problem with the service counter lady then taking off my 75cents coupon. She seemed to think that the price had dropped below the coupon price (?) and was trying to locate their price matching/coupon policy but couldn’t, so grumpily took my coupon. I had her price match to Rainbow a couple weeks ago and she did so, but again turned grumpy with my coupon presentation. Is there some sort of policy with no coupons with price matching? or do I just have a grumpy service counter lady, uneducated that Target makes back the coupon money?

  15. Jessica says:

Sort of unrelated, but… I vaguely remember seeing a buy a starter kit get a free refill at some store this week, thought it was Target, but then I relook through the add and don’t see it – I see that the Swiffer Wet Jet Starter kit is on sale for $18.99 – I have a $4 / 1 coupon and have been wanting to get one to clean the laundry room floor easier – what do you think – is this my week – or does anyone remember seeing the B1G1 offer?

  16. Kristi says:

How are you finding 3 coupons for the olay / venus deal? I only see one in the insert.

    • Laura Wales says:

Kristi, there is only one in the insert, but if you happened to have more than one copy of the insert (by purchasing more than one newspaper or getting some from friends/family), you could have more than one coupon.

  17. Tim says:

If you already used your $1 GE coupon from 1/3 SS, here’s one you can print twice!

    http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?bt=vi&tqnm=qk4scwh7477632&o=59421&c=GE&p=J7YXwCex

  18. Angie says:

The olay wash $5 gift card thing didn’t work for me on
Monday. The cashier had a manager come over and the manager said they will be marked if there is a deal. I told her I heard that is was extended, it was frustrating.

    • Laura Wales says:

Angie, I usually do a price-check scan on one of the items before trying a gift card deal just to make sure the deal will work. If the gift card deal is still active on the items, it will show up on the price scanner.

      • Michelle P says:

It sounds like some people are still getting this deal and some aren’t, might it vary by store? I’d like to try it today, I will be sure to scan the products first though.

  19. Caarin says:

I agree, the Gillette body wash is off to the side. I have seen it at two Targets. Both in the Apple Valley area.

  20. Angela says:

I just found an online manufacturer’s coupon for 7th generation cleaning products at their website and an online target coupon for the same brand. They are both dollar off coupons so I’m thinking that will make dish soap or some other 7th generation things pretty cheap.

  21. Shani says:

How does the Kashi cracker deal work? I think I’m missing something. Buy 4 and get one free doesn’t make sense. The deal idea says to buy 5 boxes of the crackers and use 5 $1.50 q’s on them.. Then it makes the boxes $1.09 each instead of $0.57 each. Was there a q from the paper I missed? Please help :)

Buy 4 Kashi Snacks (bars and cookies) at $2.59 each, Get 1 Free

    ***Deal idea***
Buy 5 Boxes of Kashi Heart to Heart crackers for $2.59 each
Use five $1.50/1 printable in Internet Explorer or in Firefox or this second printable (you’ll have to access multiple computers to get five coupons)
Final price: $0.57 each after coupons

    • Mary says:

Shani-your only paying for 4 boxes because the 5th one is free. However, you can still use 5q’s
      So, 4 x 2.59 =10.36
      – 5 x 1.50= 7.50
      = 2.86 for 5 boxes or .57 per box

  22. Shani says:

How do you get the 5th box for free? I didn’t see a coupon for that, only the $1.50/1 coupons. Sorry :S
