REMINDER: Panda Express: Free Honey Walnut Shrimp (3/10 Only)

On Wednesday, March 10 Panda Express is giving away free Honey Walnut Shrimp with this printable coupon found on their Facebook fan page. Find a Panda Express near you.

I’m loving Facebook lately, partly because I’ve started to do Pocket Your Dollars’ giveaways, readers are posting photos of great deals they’ve snagged and I’ve chatted back and forth with some folks that wanted to get started saving on their groceries. All that to say, become a Pocket Your Dollars’ Facebook fan so you don’t miss out on any of the fun.

Your turn: Did you snag soem free food? How long was the line?

I am passionate about helping people keep their money where it belongs - in their pocket. I live in Minneapolis, MN with my husband and two little girls.

BUMMER! This sounded like such a yummy treat-of-a-deal … and it was too good to be true. The Panda Express my son just went to was already ‘out’ of the walnut shrimp ( he went at 11:30, stood in line for 20 minutes ). Warning: The entree does NOT come with rice or noodles. Each are considered another ‘entree’ – an additional fee. Honestly, who is going to get just the tiny serving of meat, alone?? The ‘FREE’ entree ended up costing him $6. Great marketing and publicity ploy. I feel duped. They didn’t earn or win our business with this deal. Won’t go back after the ploy and arrogant attitude of the workers. Lesson learned. BUT! Thanks for sharing and the opportunity to give it a whirl!!!

I visited one of the locations at MOA about 12:45pm & had to wait 3-4 minutes for them to finish cooking a fresh batch, but there was no line. They gave me a free scoop (small, but free) of fried rice while I waited. The 10 or so shrimp that I got were super yummy! I loved the honey candies walnuts too. I ordered 3 potsticks for $1.25 to top it off & had a really yummy lunch for that $1.25. I don’t eat much lunch usually so I was a very happy customer.

I waited all day for my hard working wife to join me for a trip from St Paul to the Maplewood location, and viewing the large portion in the bowl pictured on the coupon as well as the same photo on the huge display sign at their mall location, I was APPALLED by the 7 shrimp on a small coaster sized paper plate I was served . The server tried hard to get us to order rice or noodles with the shrimp, I assume to make a purchase necessary, even when we showed the coupon while ordering . Although we each had a coupon and ordered separately, using separate trays and purchasing drinks , The cashier attempted to ring us out “together” an obvious ploy to enforce the “one coupon per customer” policy . When I commented that the picture posted and the product served are NOT the same , the server was amused at my foolishness . I’ll NOT be a repeat customer .
