Local Deal: Minnesota Orchestra Season Sampler Concert

This deal has expired and may no longer be valid.

The Minnesota Orchestra is performing a 2010-11 Season Sampler Concert at Orchestra Hall on Sunday, April 11 at 2pm. This Season Sampler concert features musical highlights from the new 2010-11 season.

You can order two tickets for $10 total with promo code TRYORCHESTRA. You’ll still have to pay a $4.75 online transaction fee, but considering the tickets are regularly priced at $25 each, this is a great deal! Limit two tickets per household. All seating is general admission and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

I got a similar deal on seeing the MN orchestra through http://www.groupon.com, slightly less at $10 even for two tickets. It’s a fun addition to my email inbox with updates on the daily deal. The way it works is enough people have to get in on the deal before it’s valid (read their website for a more detailed description). This is my second purchase with Groupon the first being $50 of groceries for $25 with Coburns delivers which also had free delivery at the time. Most of the stuff on Groupon is fun activities or a splurge at a nice restaurant or spa so I don’t use it as much as the coupon websites but it is still a lot of fun to be able to treat yourself for less.
