Some Kmart stores nationwide are hosting a Super Doubles double-coupon event the week of April 4-10 (April 4 is Easter, for easy reference). “Double coupons” means that the store will double the face value of certain coupons; for example, $1 off becomes $2 off when it’s doubled.
These are the rules for the upcoming Super Doubles double-coupon event:
— Manufacturer Coupons up to and including $2 in value will doubled; yes, a $2 off coupon will become like $4 off
– The coupons will double in face value regardless of what the retail price for an individual item is; in times past Kmart’s registers had issues doubling beyond the retail price of a single item (this applies particularly to coupons where the coupon requires you to buy multiple items). If you don’t understand what this means, that’s okay. It is a clarification for those that participated in these promotions before.
— You must use a Shop Your Way to Rewards card. The Shop Your Way Rewards card has to be scanned FIRST, in order for coupon doubling to happen
— Limit of 5 coupons per customer per day that can be doubled.
— The first 5 coupons scanned will be doubled in value; so hand them over carefully
— Does not include Kmart store or Kmart Pharmacy coupons
Don’t forget to sign up for Kmart’s email to receive a $5 off coupon.
I’d encourage you to call your local Kmart and see if they are participating, so you know whether to plan a trip into your schedule. Pocket Your Dollars’ reader, Karen, forwarded me the list of stores in Minnesota that are participating and they include: Detroit Lakes, Duluth, Fergus Falls, Grand Rapids, International Falls, Moorhead, New Ulm, Rochester, Thief River Falls, Virginia, West St. Paul and Winona.
I participated in one or two of these in times past and noticed that Kmart’s full price was much higher than Target or Walmart, so even with coupon doubling some items were still too expensive. Of course, other items were free or close to it after the Super DOubles promotion. Let’s work together to build a shopping list that helps us spend less on things we would normally buy anyway.
Your turn: Is a store near you participating? Do you plan to go? Which coupons do you plan to use or deals do you want to get?

Ok so I am bumned about the rules you have to swipe the card so it knows who you are and won’t let you use more? Does anyone if this is for sure, I know they have implimented the limit before but my store always lets you use as many as you want, So this wouldn’t even be worth the trip for me its 20min from my house. I signed up for the card months ago and it was never sent to me, does anyone know if you have to actually have the card or just use my ID. oh rules, they get things so messy sometimes!
I know K-ma-part is getting hard to find here in the Twin Cities. (In the last year the stores in Richfield and Minnetonka have cloased.) I’m not aware of many of them in the metro, but there has to be more than one. Regardless, if W. St. Paul is the only one participating, there’s no chance I’m taking advantage of this deal.
There’s a Kmart in Blaine right by Northtown mall.
West St. Paul and there’s one off 35E and Maryland still. Also 694 and White Bear Ave.
There is still one in South Minneapolis on Lake Street.
I wouldn’t set foot in the Nicollet/Lake store ever again. I’m between Minnetonka and Richfield, and it appears the only location in my wheelhouse is No Hope. It’s not far off my regular travels, but they’ll have to:
A. honor doubles
B. knock my socks off with their deals
C. all of the above
But maybe, just maybe, they’ll have enough deals to draw me in….sorry I can’t help scout any K-ma-part deals, hard to do when they close locations closest to me.
The link to the Shop Your Way card didn’t work for me. But it worked to go to Kmart’s website and sign up there.
Can I ask where the list was obtained, not just the person’s name. When Kmart posted the stores participating on facebook, West St Paul was not one of the stores participating.
Here’s link from Kmart: West ST Paul is not on the list??

Yeah, I’m wondering where that info came from, because West St. Paul has been excluded from the beginning, along with the other core metro stores.
The thing is, I would call and ask at WSP if they are doing doubles, but considering last time they did doubles, 5 of the 7 days they said they were not doubling when they were, and then repeatedly acted surprised when the register would double the coupons. I’m not really sure they know one way or another.
Ok–Mankato is on the KMART list for doubles but they haven’t had a KMART in about 15 years.
The MN metro stores have participated in the doubles event for quite a while. I’ve made several inquiries to KMart about it and they’ve basically said it’s not in the best interest of their business, which I understand but think is pretty crappy since we seem to be the only metro area in the country that’s excluded. I’ve completely stopped shopping there because of it. There are plenty of businesses that do want my business and I’m happy to give it to them instead.
There is also a Kmart in Burnsville.
there also is a kmart in New Hope
The New Hope store must not be in with the double coupons, I went there today and no doubling was done on my coupons! So this must not be a metro area deal!
You can get the rewards card at the store when you shop, in my area of SE WI . However, the prices were so high it would not matter if the coupons were doubled on most items.
The last three times Kmart offered double coupons I left the store without a purchase due to the prices or lack of stock. I would suggest you scan the store prior to the sale to see prices. Then you can judge for yourself
My Kmart ad shows double rewards on items on the front cover but no double coupons listed anywhere in the ad.
My Kmart ad didn’t advertise the double coupons either but in the store there was a sign at the register about it.
Kmart was on my route today so I stopped. When checking out I asked the clerk if they really limited it to just 5 coupons, she said per transaction but you can do multiple transactions in one day.
I found All detergent 2/$8-small bottles (? 32 oz). Doubled $1coupon to get for $2/bottle
Not the greatest deal but I needed it.
Had a hard time finding other deals. They are much higher than Walmart or Target for everyday prices
