Mary – Good questions. I apologize that the title for that Walmart list isn’t clear. You’re right that many of the deals on that list are actually coupons matched against Walmart’s everyday low prices so the offers will continue beyond the 13th. I update the Walmart lists (the new deals/weekly deals and the on-going list) on Tuesday nights. I will move the things from the 3/7 – 3/13 list that are still in play over to the on-going deals list, which are things that are based on the everyday low price you’ll find at Walmart. I hope that explains it and again, I apologize for the confusion.

I just found your site at 10pm it is no 124am. It is great. I use to subscribe to the brocery game.com and tere was a fee so I stopped. I am thrilled to see this. I am confused about Walmrt ending on 03/13. When will there be a new list and does this truly end on the 13th. Also when I click on shopping list I dont really get a LIST it is more of just directions and what to buy with alot of explaing. Is this truly the list or do I need to click somewhere else?

Has anyone found Chefs Requested products at their walmart? I want to try their bacon wrapped filets but I can’t find them at the Monticello MN walmart. Also if you have tried them, where in the store did you find them and what did you think of them. Thanks

Hi Melissa,

I was chit chatting about savings to people, esspecially on a local level about SAVING hard earned tax dollars. Just sharing with those who also choose to be consious shoppers but are unaware of the actual cost of shopping at places like WM cost them. As I said before- its your choice to take my advise or even read it for that matter. I fully understand that most people will continue to shop there. I guess it is a question of ethics- I choose to shop elsewhere because it COST ME and YOU more in the long run. Maybe I should have posted on the everything else tab, but regardless, I am sure that the coupon ethics post on this site and the effects of where we shop go hand in hand, which may appropriate for WM bashing.

I just wanted to share that groupon and living social are awesome sites to join- they email you local daily deals. For example, I bought two Aveda School $50 groupons for $25- Full foil is $45 with 2 colors- so I am only paying $25 for the service! I also purchased a groupon for a night at a Bed and Breakfast (4 Course Breakfast and Whirlpool room) for $60! Paired with a Coupon for Green Mill my entire mini vacation was $80!!!

I am disappointed that a forum on coupons has become a discussion over business practices. I came her to learn about coupons not to have people tell me that they aren’t imposing their negative thoughts about walmart on others, when in fact thats exactly what they are doing. It would be nice just to stick to chit chat about coupons and savings. I am sure there are other forums out there that are more appropriate for Walmart bashing…..

I still like Walmart over Target for savings. My opinion is that even with Target coupons and stacking them with manufacturer coupons the savings is miniumal so if I need to buy other items on my shopping trip the over all savings is greater at Walmart. If I go to Target I seem to still have to stop at Cub, or Joanns, or even the hardware store because Target is so limited on what they carry.

Levy – If it says you’ve already printed it, it usually means it’s reached its global print limit. The coupon just plain didn’t work for me, so I’m guessing that it’s out. Bummer!

BABY CLEARANCE… I happened to stop at the Vadnais Heights Walmart earlier this week to pick up some photos for my mom… anyway, they had tons of baby outfits on clearance for $2.00 for a shirt and pant set. I purchased 8 different sets (some look kind-of Valentines-ish) but for $2.00 for a whole outfit, you can’t beat that deal. I bought some that will fit my little one now, and some for this fall. They were Faded Glory outfits. Hope some of you can get some good deals too.

I agree with “looking to save” about the benefits of the Target coupons. Getting to stack a Target Q w/ a mfr Q, plus being able to find such a great amount of things on clearance, even every day goods like cleaners or paper items, makes a huge difference in $$ saved. I think the stacking of coupons is huge…I’ve gotten so many things free or nearly free from that practice.

I found the Johnson Buddy Soap at Walmart in a small area of the cosmetic section where they had kids bubble bath and stuff. It wasn’t located in the baby or adult soap area. Hope that helps.

I abstain from Wal-mart, same reasons. I don’t impose my choice on anyone else. I tried to shop there because the prices are good, but after reading Nickel and Dimed by Barb Ehrenreich, I just couldn’t shop there in good conscience.
Also for reference, the documentary “Walmart: The high cost of low price”. Very interesting and thought provoking, albeit not totally unbiased. Granted, I didn’t shop at WM before being influenced by these items. I live closer to Target, and I like shopping at Target, so basically for me, I will just keep on with Target.

My opinion on the Walmart to Target question…
I shop Target because my Target will put all merchandise on clearance eventually. End cap shopping at Target can be amazing- they even clearance toilet paper. I have found that target will clearance 75% off and more, where as Walmart will go to about 30% off and some times up to 50%. If you have patience and shop often, you can find amazing deals on everyday items. This is usually not the case at Walmart, you usually pay the non clearanced rate, put Walmart does not have store coupons and Target does, an extra way to save.
