We received an updated coupon policy from Roundy’s corporate office that outlines their policy across all Rainbow Foods, Pick N Save and Copps stores. Please take a minute and read it before you head out this week.
As always, you can have 5 of your coupons doubled in value (a $1 off coupon becomes $2 off) when you shop on Wednesday this week. Rainbow Foods stores are also doubling coupons this Saturday as well. Read the rules of coupon doubling before you go so you understand how to ensure your coupons are doubled.
Some stores will double coupons that say “do not double” and other stores will not. I cannot tell which coupons say do not double (as I don’t print every one as I put this list together). Generally though, coupons from General Mills brands (including Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, Yoplait, etc.) say “do not double.”

**NEW** Buy 6 General Mills Cereal at regular price, Get $10 off instantly at checkout plus a coupon for a free milk (this is a carry-over from last week’s deal)
General Mills runs this promotion with some frequency and here are a few things I’ve learned:
— The coupon for free milk usually takes $3.25 off your next purchase that contains milk. Milk is on sale this week for $1.98, so if you split your groceries into two transactions, buy the cereal first and the milk with your second order, using the milk coupon to pay.
— This is one case where I bring all my (cereal) coupons with me. It helps a lot when they are sold out of a kind I wanted.
— To easily figure out if you are getting a good deal work backwards. For instance, I won’t pay more than $1 per box of cereal, which would mean my final price needs to be $6 or less for all 6 boxes. From there, add in the $10 you’ll get off for buying six boxes; this means the price for all 6 boxes can’t be more than $16. Then, add in whatever coupons you have (and double 5 of them, if that applies). Let’s say you had three $1/2 coupons that could be doubled, then add 6 more dollars (three $1 coupons, doubled to $6) to bring your pre-coupon, pre-discount total to $22. What is $22? That is the highest price that all six boxes can total if I am going to buy at my target price. Make sense?

You are awesome, Carrie. Thank you for putting this up so early. Now I can start planning my week.
Thank you, thank you Carrie!! I am almost done with coupon clipping already!!
For the Frigo String Cheese, you state to use the $1/1 Frigo printable coupon but you do not state where this printable coupon is. I love this brand of string cheese, so any help would be appreciated. Also, thanks SO VERY MUCH for putting together the Rainbow list on Sundays! You are awesome!
Mary,
Just click on the $1/1 frigo cheese- it’s blue (or gray), meaning it’s a link to something. It should bring you to the coupon.
Julie W
Oops I see from the posts I hadn’t read yet, the link WAS missing and is now there. Sorry!
Julie W
You’re a Rick Star!
When I did my shopping at Rainbow yesterday they had a giant sign in the front of the store saying there was a misprint in that coupon book that came in last weeks paper. The coupons are really only good through the 20th, which means they already expired. I’m guessing based on that sign that they will not be accepting them this next week. I just wanted people to know so that they don’t plan a trip around them and get surprised.
Erica – Thanks. Taking them off.
That is so strange because not only the dates say they are good for 2 weeks but it specifically says on the front cover. “Two Full Weeks Of Super Savings!”
Are those the coupons you are talking about?
That would be really stupid of Rainbow not too honor the coupons. The book even talks about week 1 and week 2 so if they don’t accept them they would probably loose customers permanently.
It was a misprint that on the front of the coupon book it says “Two full weeks of savings” and every coupon says good until the 27th? What a big misprint!
OK, here’s what I’ll do. I’ll add them back on to the list (give me a minute to do it). I think the misprint was that some said they didn’t start until this week. I’ll note that some stores had signs about a misprint so you may want to call your store and confirm they are still accepting them. Sound like a plan?
I was at the Eagan store today and if they had the sign I did not see it. But I was in a hurry so I didn’t look around much Since I did not shop last week at all I was baking and made an emergency run today. I used the coupons for flour,Ragu, and Tostitos all with no problems.
That is really strange, I was at Rainbow today and it appeared that they still had all the signs up for the items in the coupon book. I did not look that closely, but it all still looked active…HHMMM
I know they had a misprint on the milk coupon. The dates on it were actually for the week before, could it be that coupon that the sign was refering to?
I think the misprint is that the coupons (pepsi, pizza, bryer’s ice cream etc) in their newspaper ad said valid through 3/13…when in actuality those coupons didn’t show up in the ad until 3/13. Those in-ad coupons were really good thru 3/20. The insert (carrots, eggs, etc) were good for 2 weeks.
Agreed. Having the Rainbow list on Sunday gets my week off to an awesome start! Thanks!
On the Beach Nut Ceral – there is a BOGO free peelie on the container. I bought it last week :-) I’ll buy it again, my baby loves it!
I was told at my Lakeville Rainbow that they will no longer accept 2 coupons for any Buy One Get one offers…only one coupon for the one item you are actually buying. If that’s part of their new, revised policy, you may have to adjust your pricing on the BOGO as you state to use 2 coupons for them.
The only misprint our store noted by handwritten signage was the error on the coupons in last week’s paper (not the booklet) that stated the week’s prior dates, and that they were honoring the coupons in the paper.
Where is the rebate for the Turkey Burgers?
I think you had to print it a couple weeks ago when Carrie mentioned it.
There was a sign at Rainbow last week that some of the regular coupons like the pop and a few others (not in the coupon book) were good through the 20th, they had printed that they were only good until the 17th. I am wondering if that was the one you saw?
I notice you list coupons for $1.50 on the Kelloggs offer. The Rainbow I go to doesn’t accept coupons over $1.00. Is that different for other Rainbows?
Emily – They just changed their policy last week to accept internet-printed coupons over $1.
Has anyone found the $1 GE Lightbulb coupon? I can’t find it on the link you provide Carrie. Do you use separate zip code?
Okay – I found one on the GE website that was $1 off two… So after doubling – free! But still not the $1 off one! :(
The coupon insert booklet had a store coupon for Ore Ida Potatoes for $1.98. I found a Smart Source coupon today for $1 off Ore Ida, making them free this week at Rainbow on Wed or Saturday.
At the Rainbow in Bloomington last week they were putting manufacturer pad coupons for $2.00 off a purchase of 2 Cheez-its. The manufacturer rep said they would be on sale this week so I assume the coupons will still be there. Looks like these are part of the $1.88 Kelloggs promotion and with no doubling you can still get the price down to $.88 per box!
There was a $1/1 Wheatables Nut Crisps coupon in the Parade magazine…I think it was from 3/7. (Mine are already clipped and filed so I am not 100% sure that is the week it was from).
The fruit snacks coupon from snackpicks.com printed for me as a $1/1, rather than a $1/2 as the list suggests above. Amazingly, it is not a DND! There is also a kellogg’s fruit snack printable at vocalpoint if you are a member there. As a vocalpoint member I received a $1.50/1 for the Clever Kids variety of fruit snacks a few weeks ago, and while I was at Rainbow today buying some produce, I checked and this variety is included in the sale. Between the Wheatables Nut Crisps coupon and the fruit snack coupons, I think it should be possible to do a bit better than $.88 per item.
I also noticed while walking through the cereal aisle that, according to the shelf labels, the “Buy 6, get $10 off your order” on GM cereals is still going on thru 3/27.
I tried the Suave deal last week if you buy 6.00 worth of products you would recieve a 2.00 off next shopping trip. It didn’t print so I went to customer service and they sail if it says you need to buy a dollar amount then it is after coupons. If it indicates buy so many to get a deal then coupons don’t matter.
The Bayer deal would not work according to what they told me and previous trouble not getting the coupon.
Dawn, that’s weird because last week I did get the Suave $2 off my shopping order deal (although it would certainly be easy to miss at the bottom of the receipt). I bought 4 products at $1.66 apiece and used 3 coupons to get them almost nothing. But it went by the shelf (sale) price I guess which was $6.64. Must vary by Rainbow – but that’s weird because it just printed automatically….
Dawn – I did the same type of deal as Shelly – 4 products at 1.66 each and 2 doubled Q’s which brought it under $6 and still got the coupon at the bottom of my receipt. This seems to be frustrating for people every time they have one of these deals. I do know it needs to be $6 of the sale price not the shelf price, was that this issue?
Kellogg’s cat starts 3/28 thru 4/14 If the 1.88 price carries over till next week, then next week would be a better week to buy the cereal
Buy any 3 or more kellogg’s cereals 12 oz or larger, any flavor, mix or match
buy 3-4 boxes get 1 free gallon of milk
buy 5-6 boxes get 2 free gallons of milk
buy 7 or more boxes get 3 free gallons of milk
all free milk coupons are good on any brand, any flavor up to $4.19 per gallon
all items must be purchased in one shopping order. limited to product in stock
Also, Cub is running that deal this week—-Kelloggs Buy 3 @ $1.98 get coupon for free milk, up to $4.19 any flavor, brand.
Thanks again, Carrie! I planned my shopping trip last night for Wednesday.
Re: the 13 watt GE light bulb, if it’s on sale for $0.99 and the coupon is $1/1, would the coupon still double? I didn’t think coupons doubled for more than the price of the product. If it doubles, it would give $1.01 overage?
I believe it will only “double” up to the posted shelf price. So if the bulb is normally $1.79 they would take of the $1 for the coupon and an additional 79cents as the “double.”
Thanks Sarah – I didn’t see why I would “waste” one of my doubled coupons on something that would be free without doubling, but you’re saying that they’ll double it up to the shelf price, meaning I would have some overage that would reduce the cost of my other items.
Correct – at least this has been my experience at my store. Hopefully your store works the same way! If the bulb is regular price $2.19 then you would get a full double ($2) – we call this a “money maker” or “overage” – before following this site I never knew “better than free” was a possibility and now I get paid to shop weekly!
When these were on sale a few weeks ago the shelf price was 4.99, not sure if they changes the shelf price. Also not all locations have these as they were a special order according to the manager that I asked at CR.
The way I read this policy is that they won’t take a coupon for more than the value of the item. Now whether that is on shelf price or sale price isn’t clear. Saying it either way would only be assumptions. In reading the policy, I would say they wouldn’t take the coupon at all because the light bulb is only $.99 but that is just my interpretation of the policy. This policy is for double days as well as none double days. I don’t think it has anything to do with the doubleing of the coupon.
I tried to click on the link to the Fiber One Muffins and it directed me to International Creamer coupons. Hmmm…….
Amanda – I fixed the link. It should work now.
No link for the Frigo string cheese? Says printable…but where?
Awesome job on all of this Carrie and company! Much appreciated!!
Susan – I am fixing the link right now.
Here is the link for Frigo:

If you are at work turn the sound down on your computer because the music on the site is rather annoying.
Someone mentioned finding “manufacturer pad coupons” at Rainbow. Where are these in the store? Thanks
Campbells condensed soup .99 each. Here is link to $1/2 – making free after double. In case you have run out of the soup from the holiday stock pile! :)
http://www.campbellkitchen.com/coupon.aspx
Thanks Jen!
Dawn — I also did the Suave deal last week. Your $2 coupon is not a separate printout. It is at the very bottom of your receipt — you just need to cut it off. I almost missed it………….
I almost missed it, too. My girlfriend didn’t have her rewards card, and didn’t enter her phone number at the terminal, so she never got one, and failed to realize that’s why. I never have my rewards card, either (I really need to start carrying it in my car), but I did remember to enter my phone number, so I earned the $2 bonus.
Has anyone price checked the Tree Top Juice? Our ad is unfortunately Buy 2 get 1 free. If they are $3.99 each and a $1/2 q – it’s not a great deal. I can get the same juice (equivalent) at Aldi’s for $1.29. Just wondering if I should bother with it or not? TIA!
Has anyone gotten a look at the in store ad this week and if so was there anything good in it? Rainbow is a 30 minute drive for me, so I only get there on Wednesdays. :)
Thank you!
Mary, u should look it up online.
I will double check my rect but I did buy 4 products that was over the 6.00 and checked at customer service and she looked at my rec’t. I wrote a note to corporate as this is confusing. I had to get a reincheck for the deoderant and they took the two dollars off the cost of 4 on the reincheck so don’t know if they will accept coupons for the deoderant or ?
I found a rebate for the no yolks noodles. Not a big savings but was a couple of weeks ago in the coupon insterts.
Wasn’t there a rebate form on the front of one of the SS or RP about a month ago to get a bag of No Yolks free?
Yes, in 2/21 ss
Arghh – my newspaper came without a Rainbow flier this week (got two Cub ones), and I could really go for the Crystal Farms in ad coupon. Anyone know if Rainbow usually has extra fliers at the store? I’ve never really paid attention.
Yes, Rainbow typically has extra fliers by their Cust Service Desk. If you don’t see any, just ask for one.
The CF coupon was in last week’s ad.
I am getting the International Delights site when I click on the Fiber One link.
Question…I bought 2 papers this past Sunday, Minneapolis and St. Paul. I do not see the extra coupon booklet you are referring to in either. Can you tell me what it looks like and what part of the paper it was in? I have a hard time believing I was unlucky enough to have it missing in both papers.
Thanks!
Connie
P.S. Thanks again Carrie for the great info!!
Connie –
The extra coupon booklet for Rainbow was in LAST weeks paper – dated 3/14.
HTH.
ok thanks Jennifer :) thought I was going blind! lol
Does anyone know if you can pick up an extra coupon packet at Rainbow?? I can’t find mine–it may have been recycled :(
nope – not available at stores
I picked up a coupon book this morning at the Savage Rainbow. I asked @ customer service and the gal cheerfully produced one from behind the counter.
Are you talking about the mini booklet with the two weeks of coupons from last week’s paper? If so, I have several – I bought multiple papers last week. (I need to double-check from home…hopefully I didn’t recycle it after reading of the household limits on several coupons).
I wanted to know if anyone knows what price the Kellogs deal will ring up at to determine the $25 should I go by 8x 1.88 or some other number?
I ask because I may have a few deals to do this week and how I structure them will depend upon this fact (as I always get it wrong LOL).
in my past experiencee they go by the $1.88 price for the shelf price… i would go by that to be sage!
the reason i say this is because my store it really depends on which cashier i go to if they’ll dbl on shelf price or sale price so i always go by sale price to be safe! :)
Just an F.Y.I. I was at the Rainbow in the Midway last week and they had a big stack of coupons by the McCormick grinders……For buy 2 grinders and get $2.00 off. Awesome deal!!
Does anyone know if the catalinas are still printing for McCormick products? I had get mine from Service Desk last week. Wish I had known they would go on sale! Bought 3 things last week, at least with coupons. A cat would have been a moneymaker.
It didn’t print for me and I bought 3 Grinders, but I *think* the woman who posted about it was talking about food coloring or extract…..so maybe that’s why.

I am not with freebies 4 mom. A fan of hers as I am of pocketyourdollars!
Shannon – Here’s how my Kellogg deal went:
4 Nutrigrain bars – shelf price 13.56
4 Cheez It cracker varieties – total shelf price 17.16
2 Nutrigrain $1 off coupons doubled. Two $2 off purchase of 2 Cheez It coupons (found on the display with the Cheez Its)
Final price $7.04 for all 8 boxes.
Jodi:Thanks I had a few extra items in there just in case, but it worked out. I got the fruit snacks I needed and a few ‘mommy’ bars (special K).
i need help with the pledge/windex coupon. I bought a pledge and a windex and i had one store coupon that said limit 2. It only took off the discount once instead of twice. Did I need 2 of the store coupons? The cashier gave me back $1.77 cash but how was it supposed to work?
it was supposed to take two off for the coupon that is how it worked for me last week w/the roundy’s milk when it was limit two.
Today I used the Rainbow in-ad coupon for Edy’s ice cream for 2.28, then used a doubled $1 off coupon– total of 28 cents!! YUMMY–I got the Mocha Almond Fudge kind! On the other hand, I bought a McCormick peppercorn grinder with the doubled coupon and when I got home I couldn’t find it. Guess I better go eat my ice cream! :)
At least you managed to get the more important product home. :) LOL.
did you check all over your car…i always find my “missing” items rolling under a seat or something…lol
You better hope you don’t find a missing sippy cup while you’re at that Kierstien!
Is there a catalina database? I hate telling customer service that I read it on a blog. :)
I dont think there is :( that’s what is hard about the “unadvertised” deals. The only way you could prove it is if you have the catalina printout that sometimes show the deals.
There were no “peelies” on the Tostitos bags in the Savage Rainbow :(
nor in Brooklyn Park.
There are in Apple Valley, but they are for $0.55/1, not the $1/1. :-(
I’ll bring this up in the open mic section tomorrow, but perhaps somebody here today will know why this happened: I bought four of the Ice Mountain waters today @ 99 cents each. Coupon is for $1 off. Doubled that should take $4 off, right? For some reason I got 79 cents on the coupon doubling for those two coupons, meaning I paid 42 cents for them. Not a big deal, but why would it double a $1 coupon on a product that is 99 cents per unit and then take off only 79 cents?
My guess is that the shelf price is $1.79 and so you got the $1/1 and then the $0.79 on the double brought it up to the shelf price. I’ve had that happen to me.
After reading through the comments tonight, I saw this issue addressed regarding light bulbs, and surmised that’s what happened w/ the water. It must be $1.79 normally, on sale for 99 cents, so despite buying four w/ two coupons, I didn’t get $2 off for each pair, just $1.79.
It looks like this is one of the amendments to the Rainbow coupon policy. (I hadn’t stopped to read it yet, I’ve only been gleaming what I read from the comments of others.) I’m sure this has been addressed elsewhere already, but what the heck:
Let’s say I went in and bought one 99-cent six-pack of water. I have a $1/off coupon and try to have it doubled. Will it give me $1.79 credit in that case, and therefore an $.80 overage?
Carrie is correct. A coupon will only double up to the shelf price (not sale price) of the item. Since Ice Mountain water is normally only $1.79, your max coupon value could only be $1.79. However, the Lunchables, for instance, have a shelf price of $2.29, which is why the $1/1 Q would double to $2 (less than $2.29) even though the sale price is $.99. Make sense?
is very confusing so if the shelf price of the item is more than the double coupon it would not double to the whole coupon value ?
Sofia – Actually, the reverse is true. If the shelf price is less than the doubled coupon, then the coupon will only double up to the shelf price.
Laura thanks for your response got it !!
Thanks for this explanation. I don’t read everything before I write…silly me.
I didn’t attempt to have the $1 lunchable coupon double today. Let’s say I did that instead of the water coupon. Even though it’s on sale for $.99, I’d have received $2 off my total bill?
Did anyone print off the Jennie-O rebate that isn’t going to use it? I bought turkey burgers today and am kicking myself that I didn’t print it when I had the chance! :)
i dont think it would work because when you printed the rebate form you had to put in all your info before printing it.
Oh bummer. Thanks for the info!
Yoplait greek yogurt was .99 and the .30 q printable doubled even though it said dnd on top
The No Yolks rebate is in the 2/2/10 SS coupon book. Thank you for all that you do!
Heads up.. reading from posts on another site and a blog (MN coupon adventure) .. the Kellogg’s $1.88 wyb 8 will be extending into next week.
Bonus!! There is a milk catalina starting on 3/28.. woohooo!
I got an informational cat today for this offer.
Buy 3-4 cereal get 1
Buy 5-6 get 2
buy 7 + get THREE milk catalinas (value of $4.xx each!)
Hold off on buying Kellogg cereal this week!
Surprised, no one mentioned using the $1 off fresh fish from the booklet..
I bought raw shrimp (sale $4.99 per pound) $2.75 for just over 1/2 pound – $1 off = cheap shrimp!
They have cat fish fillets or dressed cat fish for around the same price. Pick up low amount (1/4 to 1/2) and walk out with a nice healthy treat at low cost.
Found a display with tear pads , $2 off “just a pinch” seasoning wyb 2 grinders. The “just a pinch” was $2.79
Price check FYI .. Promise spread was $2.85 at Columbia Heights, the cashier allowed two coupons to be used on the B1G1.
Freebie!
Coupons.com, I printed $1 off Alaskan cod or pollack, there are single fillets (frozen) of pollack for 99¢ each on sale this week.
Windex, Fantastik, Scrubbing Bubbles, Pledge, or Nature’s Source Cleaners $1.88 (Limit 2) Buy 2 and use in-ad coupon Where is the inad coupon? I have looked through mine and can’t find it?
Thanks to all who had me relook at my rect. It is curled at the end and has streaks but if you look close the 2.00 Suave deal is there…THNAK YOU !!!! Funny thing I got a note back from corporate that indicates you won’t get it if you don’t spend the $ amount after coupons so ??? Gas card worked the other way a month or so ago. Anyway thanks!!!
Another reminder that i posted last week. If you buy California Pizza Kitchen Pizzas you can save on your next order. Buy2 get 1.00 , buy 3 get 2.00 buy 4 or more get 3.00 off next purchase. 3/5-3/28. They are 2 for 10.00 in this weeks ad. Also indicates if you buy 2 you will get a coupon for free milk 3.50 value.
Buy 2, get 1.00 off next visit and 3.50 off next visit for milk making the pizzas 2 for 5.50 after coupons to use on your next shopping visit.
So far I haven’t found coupons for them.
Thought I saw Fillppo Berio Olive Oil on special this week and found a 1.00 coupon at their site???? Was it in the Thursday paper insert for Rainbow or have I lost it completely?
Melissa, I tried to get the regular Pledge spray and it didn’t ring up either. They said that must not be part of the deal. It does says “selected varieties”. I think maybe the wipes might be included but I just gave up and got Natures Source Toilet Bowl cleaner and Windex. So you got a really good deal. Did anyone else get the Pledge spray? Maybe I will ask again.
Dawn, the coupon is on the front page under the 99cents sale tab under the Edys Ice Cream coupon.
The in-store ad in Woodbury has a mfg coupon for $1 off any Goody Hair or Styling Accessory. There are a few that are $.99 – $2.50 that would be free or cheap with this coupon. It’s a bit unpredictable if you’ll be allowed to use it on the $.99 items. I tried to get some bobby pins this morning. One cashier allowed it, and the other didn’t.
Diana
Diana – Good call. I saw that coupon, meant to type it up and forgot. Whoopsie! I’ll add it now.
