I love the stuffed chicken breast and pork chop deal, Purex for $1.50 each and the deal on Scotch sponges this week. You’ll notice that many of the coupons referenced on this list are expired; that’s okay because Cub Foods stores accept manufacturer-issued coupons up to 3 months past their expiration date (and in some cases up to 5 or 6 months past).

What do you think of the corn beef deal, should I wait to purchase or is this a good time to buy. Thanks for your time.
Does anyone know if the Betty Crocker fruit snacks are still priced at .99 this week like they were last week?
No, they are no longer $.99 :(
No, They were actually better then 99 cents last week. If you purchased three boxes you received a $1.50 off of a future grocery purchase.
I know :( I was hoping to go back with more coupons from this weeks paper- last week I got 20 boxes for about $3.50 after the coupons and the catalinas
$1 off Fresh Express Salad (expired 2/28) from that coupon booklet that was avail. at Cub last month (the one with the strawberries in the hand on the front).
There are some Betty Crocker fruit snacks that are on sale .99. There are some expired Betty Crockers snack coupons I used and I even got 3.50 off next order.
Okay I had an emabarrassing coupon moment. I had one Sunbelt cpn clipped and it was the bogo granola bars. And the cashier was nice but said it was counterfeit and called the manager over and there was someone behind me in line. She was very loud and I just wish she would have waited til I left the store. I really did not know the coupon was fake.she begin to tell me there are so many fake cpns that have been showing up…etc veveeta, beer and reynolds wrap for free. I had other coupons ofcourse but she made me look look I had a fake check…so don’t use the expired bogo Sunbelt coupon I think it was a few months ago when it was attached. So are there any other ones that have had an emabarrassing cpn moment?
Erica~ I have used the Sunbelt coupon at Cub and not had a problem with it. See Carrie’s comments about that coupon when she posted it on PYD at http://www.pocketyourdollars.com/2010/01/hot-printable-coupons-cheese-ept-free-at-walmart-b1g1-granola-bars-and-more/ . Maybe I will print Carrie’s comments to have with me when I try to use that coupon again. I hope I can continue to use it as my kids LOVE the Sunbelt granola bars!
I did have a problem, then I printed out Carries comments like the other person did, brought that with me and no problem!
Carrie~
I have recently switched to storing the whole coupon insert. How do you find out which coupons you have and which ones you don’t? For example, I have items on my list that aren’t listed as deals this week, but I still need to purchase them. Without having to go through each insert to see if there’s a coupon that would match the items I need to purchase, is there another way to tell what where they might be located in my inserts? Thanks!
Suzie – I use the “couponmom.com” site. There is a grocery coupon database that pretty reliably tracks the entirety of insert coupons that aren’t expired. It’s a nice complement to this site. Hope this helps!
Susie – I wrote about the databases I use here: http://www.pocketyourdollars.com/2009/06/two-websites-that-will-save-you-tons/
Carrie, I know you told us before but can’t remember…. what do you shoot for to pay per toilet paper roll?
Here are Carrie’s Rock Bottom prices:
http://www.pocketyourdollars.com/2010/02/rock-bottom-prices/
I found these using the Google search in the upper right hand corner of the PYD website, which has been a lifesaver because a lot of times I have a question that comes to mind and I remember that I have read about it on here before, and with a quick search, Voila! I have my answer. Carrie has so much great information on PYD that is now at your fingertips at all times with the search feature!
Just a comment that I’m excited about the Cub cheese at 99cents again. I buy Mozarella chunks and cut up into sticks for snacks. I did this a few weeks ago and we’re running out of white cheese sticks, so time to stock up again.
I think this is a good idea, to use the chunk cheese and cut it up into “sticks”. I have done this also, and also cute it into small cubes. Seems like that is cheaper than buying the string cheese that is individually wrapped.
whoops, not “cute” it into cubes, cut it…ha ha
The Apple & Eve juice box price after coupons doesn’t look right… They should be $2.49 after coupon (it looks like a case of copy/paste fever from the Sara Lee Bread just above it?) ;o)
Michelle, thanks for pointing that out. I’ve fixed it. :)
I just went to Cub. The cream of chicken soup is ringing up 99 cents instead of the 79 cents advertised. Customer Service gave me a refund.
Also, make sure you buy the correct 5 cereals to get the $4 off you next order. Some of the $1.88 cereals aren’t included in that deal (rice krispies).
If you don’t have the $1 off 3 cereals, theres a coupon spitter next to Apple Jacks for 40 cents off one box.
One more thing: The Hawaiian rolls are on sale using the Cub coupon booklet for 99 cents each. If you buy 2 you can also use the manuf coupon for $1 off two, making them 50 cents each. Nice rolls to use with the steakums also on sale using the coupon booklet.
I think I may have rambled here.
Where is the Hawaiian roll coupon? My family loves these! Thanks!
The Hawaiian rolls are in the deli and the coupon is in the coupon booklet you can get at the entrance to the store. I think my manufacturers coupon was in the smart source or red plum a couple of weeks before the super bowl.
Try 12/13 RP or 1/31RP
[...] week’s top Cub Foods deals are compiled by Carrie from Pocket Your Dollars. Check out all of Carrie’s Cub Foods [...]
Just an FYI be mindfull in watching your receipt when you buy weighted items. The scale at the register I was on was ringing up my weighted items as double the weight. I got a refund for the overage but I wouldn’t have noticed unless I looked closer at my receipt.
Buy 3 and use buy 2, get one free coupon from 9/27 Smartsource insert
This S&W Beans coupon is actually in the 9/27 Red Plum, not Smartsource.
I am wondering how everyone cooks Cub’s stuffed Pork Chops or Chicken last time I bought them I thought them where terrible and dry, I would like to try again and would love any suggestions ;)
Thanks
We always bake them with a can of Cream of Mushroom soup over the top- yum!
Q: I just went to Cub in Rsmt and bought the correct Kellogg’s cereal (4 of them) and did not get a Catalina for $$ off my next order. How do you complain to get a refund when it’s an unadvertised deal?
You had to buy 5 to get the $4 off next order. Just go to the customer service and return the ones you bought, go get another and re-buy the 4 plus the one and you should get the $4 catalina.
I was just at cub bought the 5 cereals and did not get the deal either :( I went to customer service no one knew what I was talking about, II kind of want to return them because it’s not a great deal then! Has anyone actually received a Catalina and where?
My purchase was is South Mpls
I’m not finding the coupon for 32 oz Dannon yogurt. I see coupons for the individual cups but not the larger size. Am I looking in the wrong place?
If anyone still has the expired $1.50 off any 2 lbs of cheese (I had one that expired 12/25), I got 2 lbs of the Cub shred and block cheese for 2.50. Not too bad!!
Someone else may have commented on this already but SS has $1 off campbells soup coupons right now. I don’t see the link listed above. HTH
I was just at Cub in Apple Valley, they weren’t aware of the Kelloggs deal. They rang it up and the coupon didn’t work – they were unaware of the deal. Thoughts?
Last I knew not all Cub stores in the twin cities are the same. It depends on who owns them.
I thought the $1.88 Keebler cracker deal was good. I had a couple online coupons for $1.50 off a box of Wheatables and All-Bran crackers, for 38 cents/box. They expired in Feb., but maybe some of you have them? There were also tear-off coupons by the crackers for $2 off 2, so 88 cents/box. Also the $1 off 1 coupon in this week’s Strib’s Parade magazine worked for some of the ones on sale.
The sponge deal is pretty good, but I have had excellent luck with ALDI’s sponges. They sell sponges with the scrubbies on them in two packs for $0.99 and they hold up well. I have tried Wal-mart’s generic sponges that sell for a similar price and they are horrible.
I got a good deal at cub on wed. I bought two starbucks 4 packs of coffee in bottles 2 for $8 and I had two $1 off coupons so I got 8 bottles for $6. I am new at all this but I thought I would post my good deal. The coupon 2 for $8 is from their small little CUB coupon book available in the store.
Thanks, Tami!
Hello I just got off the phone with my Cub and they where nice enough to get to the bottom of the Catalina Cereal deal it expired the 10th is what corporate told them HTH
Jen
Cub foods in Champlin has an MQ pack at the parmesan cheese display. It’s a good one too! Look way down towards the floor for a green index card sized thing that says “Save up to $3.00 NOW!) It’s got three coupons: $1/1 Kraft grated or shredded parm (7 oz or larger), $1/1 New Digiorno Ultimate Toppings Pizza, $1/2 Kraft Salad Dressings (16 oz or larger). These all expire 5/31/2010. Bring these over to Rainbow for double coupon daze and they could produce some good deals.
