Today through February 18, 2010 only you can get a free blood glucose screening at participating Walgreens locations. Find a location near you that is participating.
Walgreens announced this on Oprah yesterday and the big push is to get people in to a participating location today between 11am-7pm. If you can’t make it today, you can walk-in to a Take Care Clinic (within select stores) or other testing location before February 18.
If you know or have wondered if you’re borderline diabetic, then go ahead and get this free check. Other than a pin prick you don’t have anything to lose.

If you have never been screened before this is a good chance to do it. It only takes a minute (unless they are busy). Being a person with diabetes myself it is very important to find out if you have diabetes. Many people have diabetes and don’t even know. Diabetes needs to be treated to stop further complications. I hope everyone takes advantage of this free screening.
