Helpful hint: Walgreens is the one store where an advertised sale like “2 for $4” usually requires you to buy two products. The first one rings at full price and the second product will ring at a lesser price to bring the total to $4, using our example. If you ever question whether you need to buy two to receive a sale price, ask the cashier to scan one item for you. If it rings at full price, then you know you need to buy two products. If it rings at the sale price, then you don’t.

Noticed the BOGO Arm Hammer Tooth paste. Doesn’t indicate price but there are coupons for 1.00 printable at their site. Would they allow two 1.00 coupons with their BOGO or ?
Same question on Right Guard ..would they allow 2 – 1.50 coupons with the BOGO offer?
For the Venus and Olay body wash deal, my ad says you have to also buy a pack of Venus cartridges to get the $4 RR.
Stephanie, my ad says that you can receive an additional $3 RR if you purchase a razor and a matching 6-8pk cartridges.
Gotcha!
RE: the Olay rebate — does a purchase still count toward the rebate if a manufacturers coupon was used?
Mark – I think it does because I can se nothing in the fine print that says otherwise. It looks like the price that the item rings up on the cash register receipt is what counts toward the rebate, since you have to circle qualifying items when you submit the form.
Mark, I just got 2 olay rebates in the mail yesterday for full price of the merchandise. I used several coupons but I guess it didn’t matter!
Carrie:
Is there a particular Olay product that you think is good this week that can be used toward the rebate? You mention the Olay rebate at the top of the WAGS page here, but then I don’t see any deals mentioned.
Kelli,
She mentions the rebate in combination with the razor deal listed above. Here is a copy
Buy 1 Venus Embrace Razor at $8.99, Get $4 Register Rewards
Buy Venus Razor and one Olay Body Wash
Use $2/1 Venus Embrace or Spa Breeze Razor coupon from the 2/7 Procter & Gamble insert
Plus, use get a free Olay Body Wash when you buy select Razor coupon from the 2/7 Procter & Gamble insert
Spend $6.99, get $4 Register Reward back**
Final price: $2.99 total, or $1.50 each, after coupons and Register Rewards
**If you do this deal three times, then you can submit for $15 Oil of Olay Rebate. Remember that you will not get the $4 Register Reward if you pay for your product with a Register Reward issued by Procter & Gamble
Thanks Dawn. I have one more question for Carrie (or anyone who knows). The last time I tried to pass 2 coupons at WAGS for two items that were BOGO, they told me I couldn’t do it because I am not paying for the second item and they weren’t going to take money off an item that was free. Have you run into that or is there a policy of WAGS that you know about regarding this issue?
Kelli – I don’t think there is a corporate policy against taking 2 manufacturer-issued coupons alongside a buy one, get one free deal. The store will be reimbursed for both coupons from the manufacturer. In my experience, when the buy one, get one free requries a Walgreens coupon there tend to be more issues than when it is an advertised sale price that doesn’t require a store coupon.
Carrie – That is correct. If the item rings up without a Wags coupon B1G1F then there are no issues using 2 man Q’s. If you have to use a Wags coupn to get B1G1F the the register has a hiisy fit if you try to use 2 manufact Q’s. Then a manager needs to get involved, as Wags gives no autonomy to the cashier to make a decision. Then it is a crap shoot if the manager will allow or not at Wags.
Just remind them that they will be sending in your manufacturer coupon for reimbursement….they are already offering one free in their ad, so they are not losing anything.
My rule of thumb is to think out how the coupon will affect them…if it doesn’t create a loss for them….there’s no reason to argue with me. I’ve argued this and after 8 months they seldom argue with me. The majority of the time I am collecting these items to donate…we are fully stocked at this point…I love to donate to the food shelf…and they now remember this.
Get to know the managers and cashiers…it makes a big difference!
It seems to vary depending on the Walgreens. My understanding of the policy is that you can use manufacture coupons in conjunction with their specials BOGO or not as they get the money for the coupons from the manufacture. I would like to know for sure too.
Anyone else know on this question?
I have two $6 RR to use by Monday. Any ideas on things at Walgreens that generally are a good deal that I could stock up on? I thought of contact solution, but theirs is so much more expensive than CVS, I can’t bring myself to do it.
I might try the Ester-C deal above, but that’s not going to get me anywhere $12.
Thanks for any suggestions :)
Teresa – I usually get the dried fruits – their raisins are a decent price and the dried cranberries, pineapple and tropical mix are very good prices.
Teresa, you can use the RR at Cub even after they expire.
Julie do you know how long you can use RR at Cub after they expire? I must say that you are a lifesaver!!! I had no idea that I could use these at Cub until I read your post and tried it for myself last night. This saves me from allot of stress trying to figure out coupons and RR at Walgreens! Thanks a bunch for the tip!!!
Which Cub? Not all Cubs accept RRs (corporate stores are the ones that do, we have been told.)
I used them at the Cub in Blaine off of 35W with no problem at all.
I always buy a book of stamps ($8.80) when I have RR to burn and nothing on my list. HTH.
I have a question about the P and G rebate/coupon book you get when buying $50 worth of product. The link they gave on the insert doesn’t work. Where can I get a complete list of brands/products?
Angie – Try http://www.thankyoumom.com/coupons.jsp
If anyone uses Purex laundry detergent, it is cheaper at Walgreens this week than the ad for Rainbow when using the BOGO coupon (this Sunday’s paper). It’s on sale for 2.99 for 32 loads this week instead of 5.99. It comes out cheaper per load this way than buying it on sale at Rainbow.
thanks for that info!
I’m having a hard time finding a Cub that accepts the RR coupons. Does anyone know of a Cub in the North Metro area that accepts them?
The Cub Foods in Forest Lake accepts them.
Could you please clarify on this? Are you saying that Cub Foods will accept Walgreens RR? I am new to the whole Walgreens thing :) Thanks!
I’ve used mine at the Stillwater Cub accepts them…you can call the supervalue corporate offices and ask which Cubs are corporate owned.
I’m surprised the Forest lake Cub accepts them…they are not corporate owned? I think they like to keep us guessing.
The Cub Foods on Northdale Blvd (by Lifetime Fitness) in Coon Rapids accepts them.
The Cub in Blaine off 35W takes them.
Carrie – Thanks for the suggestion. I picked up a bunch of dried plums :)
Julie – Thanks for the info. I had no idea – I’ll have to ask at my Cub.
Does anyone shop at the Heritage Cub in Lakeville? I have not tried using the Walgreen’s RR’s there, but it would be helpful.
Also, Kmart has the 72 oz. Purex (46 loads) on sale for $4 this week. I bought four at Target, used two BOGO coupons, and then price matched with the Kmart ad.
Anyone have the $2 venus razor coupon they would like trade for the buy venus razor & get the olay body wash for free? I have an extra one. I don’t know how that happened.
If so email me @ sak42116@msn.com
Also I went shopping Sat. at the Cub in Forest Lake & got a catilina for hamburger helper.
buy 3 get $1.50
buy 4 get $2.00
buy 5 get $2.50 no coupon needed
Thanks, Sally! Does your catalina say what dates the deal is valid?
It’s valid 2/22-3/21.
What it says is that you get those $ values off your next hamburger, chicken or tuna purchase when you buy that number of Hamburger, Tuna or Chicken helper meals. Therefore, you can use a coupon for either or both and still get the money off, I believe.
The link for the Excedrin doesn’t have the coupon listed. I remember it but can’t find it.
Carrie – I am looking at the P & G insert from Sunday’s paper. Save with 4 Buy 1 Get 1 Free offers. If you buy any one Olay Pro-x Facial Moisturizer or facial cleanser and get one Venus Embrace Razor Free. The next coupons says if you buy any one Olay Pro-x Facial Moisturizer of facial cleanser and get one Secret Clinical Advanced Solid Free. Can a person use those two coupons and only buy one Olay Pro-x Facial Moisturizer or facial cleanser ?
Mary, you’d have to buy two Olay Pro-X Facial Moisturizers or Cleansers to be able to use both coupons. Notice that the coupons say “limit one per purchase,” which means that you can only use one coupon for each item purchased.
The register rewards say you can’t buy postage stamps with them….FYI it’s listed on the RR what you can’t buy.
Excedrin Menstrual Complete 20 count is producing a $2 RR. This is not advertised, but worked twice so far for me! Pair it with the $2 coupon Carrie listed and you make $1.50 profit. :)
I should have read through all the comments…then I would have seen Steph’s excedrin comment. I have a bunch of excedrin Q’s so I’ll be using them to increase my rr’s. :)
Excedrin deal…several sites are listing this as buy one at $2.50 and get $2 rr’s…with the $2 coupon it would be a money maker, but I don’t see the rr listed in the ad…???
Does anyone know more about this?
Arm & Hammer laundry detergent B1G1 deal. It’s $6.99 for one. I usually buy only detergents on sale and lower end detergents (which means I never buy Tide.) Seems to me $6.99 is higher than the average price elsewhere by a couple of bucks. I seem to think A&H is on the low end of detergents, and can be had for < $5 a bottle. So, is this a deal? I need to burn my register rewards by Saturday.
Just a quick comment I hope you don’t mind. Lately I saw you include deals that requires multiple coupons, but I only get 1 coupon in the Sunday paper. I find it harder to keep up with the shopping list because the deals I can come up with with my 1 coupon is far less appealing than yours. Just a thought.
Thank you for all that you do.

BOGO Flexamin at $19.99 and using two $6 coupons still had me paying $7.99 for 2 boxes – still a good deal, but not close to free. Am I missing something??
The Excederin “Mentsrual” is printing out a $2 RR, but no other Excedrin is.
I had a great Wags night! Spent $1.18 and saved $36.12. Go me! I did the BOGO Ester C and used two coupons for $5 off. It beeped and she had to ask the mgr, but he said to let me use two Qs. I got free Stacy’s pita chips. BOGO Right guard and used a $2 off 2 IP. Bought Boston Baked Beans and Sour Patch Kids each $0.49 as fillers. Bought Crest and used the Feb. coupon book Q and the P&G Q so it was $0.34. I ended using my $3 RR.
Free 8×10 at Walgreens Thursday the 25th only, enter code “freephoto” at checkout!
Does anyone know if the Cub Foods in Maple Grove takes expired Walgreens register rewards?
I’m curious about the Hershey Pieces sale. With the coupons it brings it to $6 instead of $10 to get the $5 RR. I thought the total had to be after any coupons were used. Does anyone know. I don’t want to make a wasted trip. That’s a really good deal if we can use the coupons and still get the $5 RR.
I did the Hershey’s Pieces deal yesterday with the 4 coupons and got the $5 RR with no problems.
I went today and used a $2 MC coupon for Excedrin Menstrual and it DIDN”T print a RR for it. The manager said that because I a MC, it wouldn’t print that. Totally doesn’t make sense to me. I was very nice, stood my ground and he did give me the RR. Has anybody had this experience or did I do something wrong?
The manager is clueless. The Manf Q does not negate the RR printing. Never has and never will. Their system was not working correctly.
I just tried the Mitchum Deodorant printable coupon and they wouldn’t take it since itt printed with the little target logo on it, Anyone else have that problem??
It must depend on the person you speak to about accepting the RR coupons at Cub. I asked at the Cub in Blaine off of 35W and was told no. Thanks for the other locations that accept them!
Daisy- you can buy multiple early edition papers on Saturdays for .50 cents each and get multiple coupon inserts that way. Also, buying the early edition is much cheaper than the regular Sunday edition! = )
Thanks Jo. I never have had that experience at Wags, but I am new to this so thought I was missing something. I think I will go to a different Wags next time…
