My family is currently in the market for a new vehicle (after we buy it I will tell you all about it). That’s why this deal to get a $25 pre-paid Visa card for test driving a 2011 Kia Sorento caught my attention.
— Register and print your e-certificate
— Test drive the car at your local Kia dealer
— Get your e-certificate validated by the dealer
— Mail in the e-certificate and receive your gift card by mail.
This is a generous offer from Kia and if you are in the market for a car, please do participate in the promotion. If you aren’t in the market for a car, then please pass this offer up.
Your turn: Did you do your test drive? Did you get your gift card?

I did the test drive this morning, it was a fun vehicle to drive! The Sorento was a SUV type vehicle, now more of a crossover.
They validated and sent me on my way.
Cindy Jo – did you just want into a Kia dealership?
I looked up a dealership on a map (its on Hwy 61, a couple blocks up from 694), walked in and asked. I have no immediate plans to purchase a car, but as they said to me, they want to make folks aware of the Kia brand. I left with a brochure of different models and a business card.
I did the test drive tonight. I believe anyone should be able to do this offer. KIA wants people who are not interested in purchasing a KIA to test drive their vehicle. They are hoping that you either purchase a vehicle now or years from now.
I have no problem with anyone using this certificate if they are not planning to purchase a KIA. They are looking for purchases now and in the future.
It will make me possibly purchase a KIA in the future.
Steve – Is that what the salesman told you? That they want people that aren’t even in the market for a car now to come in and test drive? If so, I’ll update the article/post to reflect that.
This is my feeling.
This is what marketing is all about.
Example:
They put out a oreo free facebook coupon out to 500,000 people. They know that they will get some new converts by people trying their product. Many of these people will purchase it again and others will never purchase it again.
I don’t believe this is any different with the car thing.
Steve
The thing to remember is that I believe they are doing this offer for a few different sets of people.
1. People currently looking for a car.
2. Trying to get people to change their attitude about KIA.
3. People who may purchase a KIA in the future.
I did the test drive this afternoon at the Kia dealership right off of Hwy 81 in Brooklyn Park. It was a very easy and quick process.
It would be helpful to add this link so you can quickly locate a Kia dealership near you:

Just an FYI I received this deal two weeks ago, I checked the box and in my email they sent me the same deal but this time a $75 gift card. Then I received another deal in the mail from them for a friend. So check the box if you want and you might be able to sweeten the deal :)
