Get in on the General Mills cereal promotion this week, free Land O Lakes spread and free Del Monte fruit cups. To maximize your savings you’ll need the right coupons and need to shop on Wednesday (and/or Saturday at Rainbow Foods) to have the face value of your coupons doubled. Please take a minute and read the rules for doubling coupons.
I cannot tell which printable coupons say “do not double” and which do not apart from printing them and I cannot always print every coupon (sometimes I have already printed it, etc.). That means you’ll need to review the coupons cross-referenced on this list to confirm whether they can be doubled or not.

Just wanted to thank you Carrie and everyone. I just got back from Rainbow. I spent $28.01 and saved $40.10. Kind of a big success for me today. Thanks!
I just have to say THANK YOU! I bought the 6 boxes of cereal and figured out I spent about $.66 per box AND then I went back to Rainbow a couple of days later and spent $.29 on 2 gallons of milk and a carton of eggs! YEAH I am so excited. I am a single Mom who just bought a townhouse, and I was a bt worried about money. This website has been a lifesaver for me! Thanks!!
Barilla Plus Pasta is not included, it is over $2.00 a box. Thank you for the list. I got the GM cereals, and with coupons and the $10 off, I spent $0.37 per box, and that does not include the eggs and milk I get on my next shopping order!
I had a great day today too. Spent $34 and saved $86 (but I would never pay full shelf even before couponing for most of those items). Even had some fresh fruit, whole wheat bread, milk and eggs in there along with 5 tubes of high end Colgate.
Hi Carrie, Just and FYI, Your coupon that is for the Yoplait Light Yogurt Cups on your site prints out as a do not double coupon…I don’t think you can see that info when you are making these connections for us or not… ??
Thank you for all the helpful information here. Not only did I save $82 at the grocery store but then to carry the savings over to the gas pump … I saved another $8 in gas!!! Dont forget to use your Roundys card.
My DND coupons are doubled at the Eagan Rainbow foods.
Did anyone else register for the multigrain cheerios? how long did it take you to get the q in your email? thanks!
I’m thinking I got mine a day or two later? I could be wrong, but I think it was pretty quick. You can print two coupons from each weekly email. I have gotten the email the last two Thursdays, so I had 4 $1/1 coupons to use today!
I think it took a week or so. I didn’t get it right away I know that. They sure are nice for Double Daze! My store was out of the smaller boxes tonight so they had to go in the back and get some for me.
My husband is now addicted! We got 12 boxes of cereal, 2 gallons of milk, a dozen eggs, 2 cookie doughs, a Tornados and 4 Diet coke 12 packs for $10! (It was in two trips and we also had a $5 off from last week) Thanks Pocket Your Dollars!
Aprilhow did you do the 2 transactions?
Barb and Jenny, I printed that Fresh Express Artisanal salads coupon and then checked on the site to see “where to find”. And it looked like it was only sold in California. Have you seen this kind anywhere in Minneapolis? Thanks
Maryellen,
I noticed the pic on the Fresh Express salad was different but the Q did scan at Rainbow Eagan, it even came up with the description of Q on my receipt. The store did not have a problem with accepting. Of course seeing that it is $1.50 it would not double but salad for 48 cents is a good price!
I tried the Hormel deal at the Maple Grove Rainbow and the $5 did not print on my receipt. I had a $9.80 rib package and $12 in pepperoni ($21.80 total) and used a $1 Q for the ribs and 3 of the .55 off the pepperoni (all doubled, so $5.30 in Qs). I went to C.S. and she told me that I needed to spend $20 AFTER coupons! I told her I didn’t see that anywhere on the ad, but asked if I could go get another pack of ribs to get my total up to the threshold. She let me do that and gave me a $5 gift card. Had I been prepared for that, I would have done my transaction a little different. Hopefully my little mishap will help other readers plan their transaction accordingly.
Happy shopping!
thanks for the heads up…has anyone else experienced this?
I was told this about the special last week (the one that included Healthy Choice meals, etc). This was at the Maplewood store and they said it was a Catalina rule -not theirs I had questioned it because we didn’t get a separate printed out coupon but then when I got home and read through some postings, found that it was indeed at the bottom of the receipt.
I do agree -it would be nice if all the “rules” were included in the information about the promotion.
I did the catalina deal last week, but had miscalculated the shelf price and the sale price – they honored it although last week I was actually .30 short with the sale price – that didn’t include my coupons. The customer service clerk was incredibly helpful to me then – policies seem to be different at different stores.
Jennifer M. –
I also spent $22 on the Hormel products and didn’t get the $5 off coupon. I went to customer service and she asked 2 differnt people why that happened. They didn’t know, but assumed it was because I used coupons on the deal bringing my total to $12.35. So I returned it all. Not only did I waste my time on the transaction, but I also wasted 6 good coupons.
However, on a later transaction, when I bought the 4 boxes of Betty Crocker frut snacks a $2.50 off future purchase coupon printed out from General Mills. That was a nice surprise.
Okay went to lakeville rainbow just got home. They would not double my DND coupons they didnt scan them put them in manually. I realized when I got home she didnt give me credit for all of them…hmm. Anyways it still wasnt a bad trip got $70 worth of groceries for $25 which included my free milk, eggs, oreos, chillers x2,and scotts tissues.
Also my scotts tissue was on sale for $1.49 not .99 but the cpn online was for $1 so dbls made it free but they only dbled to the $1.49 not to $2 like “normal” so some things were different at my rainbow tonight but still not a bad night.
My two normal cashiers were not working tonight so i am not sure if that would’ve changed my outcome at all. But this cashier has never looked so close at my cpns as she did today so it may be a new thing at Lakeville RB. Just heads up for all!
I also shop at the Lakeville Rainbow. They told me last week that they have to look at all your coupons on double days, take out the ones that say “DND”, double the other pile up to 5 and then enter the DND’s. I have been told two weeks in a row by two different cashiers that they were all told to be extra careful. So, they are definitely NOT doubling the DND’s anymore. And these were two cashiers that are always there and that I go to regularly.
Thanks gina! I figured that it was probably something they were all told because the cashier I went to normally never “looks” at the q’s just scans them. Which is fine w/me sinc ethey arent supposed to double the DND anyways i’ll just know to make sure they enter them all correctly next time!
Sense they are getting more strict on the coupons you can always put the do not double coupons at the end of your stack. Not only will that purchase help you get up to your $25 but you will still have 5 coupons to double. I am doing that with the General Mills deal, that way I have to do less transactions.
Rainbow in Savage had a display with Quaker instant oatmeal on sale for 2.99 (reg 3.59) and I had a coupon from somewhere (the paper? not a printable) for 1.00 off that doubled.
I see craft cheese on sale the next three days 2/4 if you go sat and use 1/2 if you printed it or had it from paper (dont remember insert) $1ea for cheese!!! I have 3 of these using them sat!
HTH someone!
Kraft Cheese sorry for my spelling, lol.
When into the Rainbow store in Blaine today, brought over $20 worth of Hormel Products before coupons, around $17 after coupons did not receive my $5 off your next purchase (used my Roundys card). When ask why, was informed that Rainbow’s store policy is: you need to spend $20 after coupons not before in order to receive your $5 off your next purchase. If this is Rainbows policy, I wish they would post in their store.
I had 2 McCain Potato coupons ($1. each) that will expire on the 28th. They were marked down a bit -from 3.49 to 3.24. With the doubled coupon they came to $1.24 which didn’t seem like a bad price.
I don’t think the deal on the Sara Lee bread can work as above — the coupon that prints is for the “soft and smooth” variety, and when I was looking at the Lake Street Rainbow that variety was not included in the sale.
I had the same issue so I had to think on my feet to change up my order. My totals aren’t usually sooo close to $25, but tonight they were. No biggie. The ad is misleading as the picture shows the soft and smooth bread, but it isn’t on sale and it was over $3 not on sale. Even with my doubled coupon it wasn’t that great of a deal….I didn’t want to waste it.
**So far so good as my store in WI still doubles Qs that say DND.
I was disappointed about that Sara Lee bread deal as well. However, I bought the 100% whole wheat Sara Lee bread that is on sale (it’s just not “soft & smooth”!) and my coupon still worked fine even thought it specifically said the “soft and smooth” variety. I have found this is often true on these really specific coupons. Anyway, it made that bread really, really reasonable. I hope this helps!
I had a great evening! I did a total of 6 trips in 3 visits (2,3,1). I spent $93.77 for $260.10 of Rainbow-priced groceries for a savings of 64%. The lower % is due to a few non-sale, non- coupon items. All coupons ( even DND) doubled except my 2 Hormel ones; didn’t ask cuz I didn’t notice until I got home. Cereal and Hormel deals were not printing out; staff was laughing about it cuz they hadn’t worked all day. Customer Service gave me either cash or rainchecks equaling cash. The evening staff at the SLP Rainbow is so great: smart, friendly and helpful. I have concluded that I don’t want to try any other store or time!
Thanks Kiersten and Gina for the heads up on DND coupons at Lakeville RB – that will help a lot in planning my trips!
had a great night last night!! did 3 transactions, totalling in $75.84 worth of goods for only $27.83!! That’s a savings of 64%!! And we got 6 boxes of cereal, each only costing $0.23!! Given how much we love cereal, this is HUGE!!
I just want to thank you Carrie for all you do. Because of all you do, we have been able to get the groceries and other goods we need, stay in a good grocery budget AND give back to those truly in need (we drop off extras in the food bins). THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
I was excited about the fruit snack deal-we go through a lot of them, but it turned out to be an even better deal than I thought-not only do you get the $4 off your order right away, but you get a catalina for $2.50 from GM! If I did the math right it turns out to be like $0.46 a box!
Here is the catalina deal (not sure if someone already posted it or not:
Buy Betty Crocker Fruit Flavored Snacks between 2/22 and 3/21
Buy 3 and get 1.50 or
Buy 4 and get 2.50 or
Buy 5 or more and get 3.50 coupon off your next order
thanks katy we go through lots of these as well!
Any body else getting tired of Rainbow changing the rules in mid stream? Unless otherwise printed or a disclaimer added, it is what it is. i am referring to the Hormel deal> here’s the difference> It is based on $20.00 sale price(not shelf price) vs. their $25.00 mark for doubling(which is based on shelf price). it has nothing what so ever to do with coupons. No where on the Hormel page was that printed. i would have returned everything. i purchased 21.89 in product, $16. in coupons, came to $5.89 out of pocket, got my $5 credit= .89 my cost for hormel. glad i don’t have to give my business to some of the rainbows alot of you all have to deal with.
I agree I’d be frustrated too. I think it also boils down to the poor cashiers and CSM’s not really being sure what the problem is but just thinking on their feet and coming up with a reason that both sounds good to them and might have been what others have been told. (I’ll never cast an unkind word on them because I wouldn’t be able to deal with some of the people they do) The $20 sale price is typical for what I’ve seen on these deals, that is what I would have expected as well.
Did you happen to buy peperoni in your Hormel deal Terri? Based on others posts I have a sneaking feeling that item is the culprit in many of the transactions. A PP indicated that when the CSM actually swiped that numerous times it still didn’t print the coupon. This tells me there is a good chance the computers aren’t reading that item right.
forgot to mention this to all who are doing the cereal deal> i did a few transactions just with the cereals and a few add-ons. found that my cashier took the $3.50 and $1.75 off milk and eggs. went back and did another cereal deal but this time i got 2 milks and 2 eggs (there is a limit of 2 each on both) here are the numbers: 2 x 1.98 = 3.96 less 3.50 Q = .46 = .23 per gallon of milk. Next> 2 x .99 = 1.98 less 1.75 Q = .23 = .11 1/2 cents per ea carton of eggs. works for me
Oh – can you tell me your list for your Hormel deal too? I’m not shopping until Saturday. :)
I had a good week and a great month overall! Yesterday I saved 77%, spent $33.20 over 5 transactions.
http://momforhim.blogspot.com/2010/02/weekly-groceries-saved-77.html
Over the month I spent $165 for our family of 6, an average of $41.27 a week, and an average savings of 74% a week.
they didnt pay you this week! lol :)
I got $93.32 worth of stuff for $25.52 this wk, 2 transactions! I really love the chinet coupons, the comfort plus cups on sale 2/$5 then 2 $1 coupons doubled, they have a coupon for $3 off coffee if you buy 2 cups and Cameron’s coffee was on display with it on sale for $4.99 so I got 2 packs of cups and premium coffee for $2.99 and it is good coffee! My cereal was around .33 each and my dnd coupons did double! The gorton’s fish was more than advertised and was crossed out in black marker but it was still an ok deal with my coupons.
What is the actual policy on the hormel? Sounds like some are getting it and some are not? Seems like each location does their own thing anymore. I would like to know before going on Saturday. I do have pepperoni on the list. Hoping they have the Turkey pepperoni as part of the deal. I am so tired of trying to figure it out.
The Kraft cheese coupon was in the 1.24 paper. Save 1.00 on 2.
Sale is good through 3/10.
They also have Daisy Sour Cream BOGO Free 8 oz. I know there are coupons somewhere for that but haven’t found them yet! It is 1.35 for two.
Tired of planning lists around the ads and then not getting or having to go to CS to get the credit. So frustrating.
I did the hormel deal. The total sale price for mine was just over $20 (it didn’t even dawn on me that the shelf price could be used). I used 2 $1.00 coupons that doubled, so my total was below $20 after coupons. Although there was some debate as to whether the “Always Tender coupons with the roll type roast pictured could be used (manager said yes)…I did receive my $5.00 w/o problem.
Teresa what did you buy for the hormel deal.
Hello all – I am new to this site and so excited to get started – but I have a question on the $25 threshold and those of you who are doing several transactions. Do you guys separate each $25 out in your cart and just tell the cashier to ring them up separately or do you just do $25 at a time and do it in different trips? Thanks!
I usually willd o two transactions at a time. i keep them seperate in my cart and when i get to check out i just seperate them w/the stick things (not sure what to call them, lol) i always ask the cashier to make its okay and they always say yes. then if i wanna do more then 2transactions i go out to my car drop off the and go back in. The most i hav ever done is 3 at once but the store was dead and cashier said it was fine!
HTH! welcome to dbl daze shopping!!! so addicting in my opinion
You really just have to gauge how busy the store is. Start with one trip, maybe, go to the car and then try for two transactions. This Wednesday, when the store was very quiet, I finally got the nerve up to ask if she minded if I do three transactions. She was happy to do it and appreciated that I asked. The problem with multiple transactions in one run is that you have to remember to use your Roundy’s card each and every time so that point accumulate. Also, it can get distracting (and I’m very distractible) with the bagger asking you questions about paper or plastic and loading the groceries in your cart while you are trying to make sure your transaction is going correctly. Otherwise, more trips to customer service! Also, you’ve got to have everything organized in your cart, with food groupings and coupons before you get up to the cashier, or it’ll all fly out of your head! Hope this helps!
Thanks to both of you! Yes, that is VERY helpful. I’m planning to go REALLY early Saturday morning so hopefully it will be dead…. We will see! Thanks so much. I can see how this will be addicting. :)
I also had a problem with the Hormel deal. I bought the turkey pepperoni and the turkey chili. My total was over $20, but the $5.00 did not print. I spoke with the customer service person, and she said that it was because the turkey ones were NOT included. I did NOT get the $5. This is the Rainbow in Woodbury.
weird because in my store the “tag” was on the turkey pepperoni
LISA> I WOULD BE HAPPY TO SHARE MY HORMEL LIST WITH YOU.
Let me start out by saying that I would never begin my shopping trips without doing my research first. Sometimes things happen that are out of our control, ie: out of stock on advertised specials forcing us to resort to Plan B. (in my opinion, Plan B’s are AS important as coupons, without 1 the other is no good). I always take 10 minutes every sunday to do a quick walk thru the aisles of my Rainbow with pen and notebook in hand and jot down anything that is not in the sunday ads. they can’t print everything and each store has their own agenda on closeouts/discontinues,etc. Some of my best deals are found by walking the aisles and seeing 75% off tags on things i already have Q’s for at home. I then take that list, the ads, and make my own list. Then, when PYD posts her picks, i compare and make additions if need be. Sorry for being so windy but i needed to explain this before posting my Hormel list because it wasn’t something Carrie posted and just something i figured out.
I found the Hormel meat on sale for $1.99 lb.(not the ribs) I picked up an 11 pound slab and asked the butcher if he could cut and wrap into 1 lb packs. He said “No problem”. I said i would be in on Wed. and would he mind freezing the meat until then, again ‘no problem’. Went back on wed and he had everything ready, packed and priced seperately. Here’s how it computed:
21.89
16.00 Q’s
11 lbs @ 1.99 lb. $21.89 5.89 subtotal
5 Always tender $1 Q’s doubled= $10.00 5.00 rebate
6 Always tender $1 Q’s = $ 6.00 .89 final cost
Terri, I am stunned! What you did was perfectly ethical, very reasonable (from the butcher’s point of view) and smart (from a couponing point of view). You should win an award for that idea! I love Rainbow’s commitment to service (at most stores, anyway). And thanks for the great tip for a quick walk through on Sundays. I really need to start doing that.
WOW! i never thought of having them seperate the order! not only does it help w/your coupons it helps with meal time. because at our house we’d never eat 11lbs at one time!!! thanks for mentioning the sunday walk thru i never thought of that either but think i’ll try it out :0)
Great idea… my rainbow is the next parking lot over from my church. If I could convince my family to be “good” while Mommy runs through Rainbow this might just work!
THANKS!
LISA that last part all seemed to mesh together, i will retype it. Sorry.
21.89 ……
16.00 Q’s …… 5x$1 double=$10. plus 6x$1 =$6.
5.00 rebate ……

Brought the meat pks to the food shelf and they were very happy with the sizes as they said it will help out the elderly and those that live alone instead of just one family. I made a special trip back to Rainbow to share that info with the butcher and he said it made his day. So, it was a win-win all the way around. Let me know how your shopping goes on sat. if u decide to use this method. I will lay you odds that if the pepperoni is the culprit and Rainbow has known since wed. that it isn’t working, it still won’t be resolved by saturday. I hope i am wrong for those of you who plan to use it. To me, it’s not worth the aggrevation .
the food shelf takes meat?!?!?
That’s exactly what I just said to my computer monitor! lol!
lol! i wanna know if this is at all food shelfs because i could bring them meat!! exp when its on good sales w/q’s!!! they need food too!
Thanks terri – much appreciated. And much inspiring from the butcher, to the food shelf, and every other little tidbit in between.
I think that the managers are often at the mercy of their stocking help, too. My GM cereal deal didn’t produce a $10 and manager said I didn’t use the right size. I pointed to the display which featured scores of boxes of that very same cereal in the very same size with the poster describing the deal. Manager then said stocking probably put wrong size in the display. He still happily gave me my $10, though and apologized for the problem. Just reinforces the planning process that’s needed on our part and making sure you carry a copy of the ad with you.
I got the smaller boxes, they were all 2.99 and it worked.
Oh just an FYI for the Scottie tissue link… its not a .50cpn its a $1 cpn!!! at least thats what i got
I found that deal and reported it to Carrie. That is correct: a 50 cent coupon, doubled, for a .99 box of Kleenex. Haven’t actually tried it because I forgot it at home on Wednesday. Did anyone try it and have trouble?
when i went to the link it printed a $1 cpn and i had it dbl on wed. well my kleenex were on sale for $1.49 at my rainbow and it doubled it to .49 so free kleenex still but not a mm.
once i registered this is what it said: You are now eligible to receive a $1.00 off coupon for any
ONE (1) Scotties Facial Tissue 60-264 CT single or Multi Pack.
I think it depends on whether you answer the question yes or no about using the tissues.
what helps me sort out multiple transactions in my cart is I grab one of the black hand buckets (not sure if that’s what they are called) and I use that in the front of my cart to help seperate my two (or sometimes three) seperate transactions!
i saw someone do this at my rainbow a few weeks ago (lol maybe it was you) but i thought it was a great idea! i never thought of that!
Every food shelf i deal with has freezer space. Maybe thats why they are always so low on meat, not too many people know they can donate meat. They need EVERYTHING. Recently my sister was layed off from Johnson and Johnson and she had salesmen samples piled up in her garage…Cases of diapers, Tylinol, tooth paste, tooth brushed, fem. hygiene products, baby shampoo, bubble bath, etc. She gave everything to me as she knew i could put them to good use. We estimated the retail value to be somewhere in the neighborhood of $25,000.00. I organized the contents, made my list of needy orgs. and went to town delivering everything. Sent alot to Haiti, Ronald McDonald House, Shelter for battered women(they received 2000 boxes of tampons, pads, etc) Church nurserys, daycare centers, and 13 local food shelves. Just goes to show that one persons misfortune(my sister) is a blessing in disguise, thousands were helped for the moment, hopefully making a difference and lightening their load, big or small. And then some day they will be able to do the same for someone else. There is no shame in asking for help, the shame comes when the help becomes a crutch and they are not willing to do for themselves.
wow terri that is great! i will have to check if my local food shelf accept frozen foods! thaks for the idea!
what a great story! Your an inspiration
Hi, I read this site a lot and never have wrote in but I wanted all of you that had a problem with the Hormel Deal to check your receipts because it was not printed out in the form of a coupon it was at the end of your receipt. I bought 7 packets of mini pepperonis so that came to $21.00 with no coupons on that. I was going to just buy 6 packets thinking it was the shelf price not sale price but I didn’t want to have to go back. I also bought in that transaction some kraft cheese slices that had a coupon box “blinkie” right near the cheese sale and got 5 packs of cheese for free. Then I used the coupon that was printed on the bottom of my receipt for my next transaction. All in all I spent $40.00 on four transactions and had $151.00 in groceries. I figured that was a savings of 73%!! Thanks to Carrie and all that help me and others save so much!!!
Sandy – Thanks for sharing! Hearing your story encourages all of us!
can you share more abut the cheese?!?!
Kierstien,
Hi the cheese I got was Kraft Deli Deluxe sliced cheese and right by the cheese was one of those boxes with a red light that had $1.00 off one 8 oz package of that cheese. So once doubled it was free!
So do we know what the Hormel policy is as some are getting and some are not? If we use coupons does that make it invalid for the 5.00? I wish they would be clear on policy and consistent. I plan to go today but not sure what I will find as will be later in day when have car. X fingers some stuff will be there.
I just bought two racks of ribs and it worked and I had coupons. So I paid $16.XX and got the $5 towards the next purchase.
Chrissy,
I see that you bought 2 racks of ribs. Did you buy the Hormel baby back ribs for $3.99 a lb? I am trying to figure out how much these weigh/how much they will cost in order to plan my list for tomorrow. I have this sales ad this week. Your ad’s are a week ahead of mine.
fyi – it’s not 10 double coupon day, but at the quarry’s rainbow it doubled all 8 of my coupons… not sure why, but i’ll take it!
does anyone have some deal senarios for today?
Today was the best day I have EVER had using coupons. I did two transactions, making sure to use the milk and egg coupon from the Cereal deal right away, which is something I am getting better at doing, so in total today I saved 77%.
FYI: I was able to use my BOGO egg coupon from the internet at Eagan RB.
I wasn’t planning on going to Rainbow this week, but when I saw the 3 day ad, I just couldn’t pass up free I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter and $1 Kraft cheese (both family favorites). I also had some coupons from the Cub healthy coupon book that expire on Sunday. Here’s what I got for total out-of-pocket of $33.11:
4 – 12 packs of diet coke (used 2 – $1/2 MQs from Cub book)
6 – Kraft shredded cheese (had 3 – $1/2 MQs that expire 2/28)
2 – I Can’t Believe Its Not Butter (used 2 – $1/1 MQs from website making them FREE)
1 – Fresh Express Salad (used $1/1 MQ from Cub book making it FREE)
8 – Yoplait yogurt cups (used $1/8 MQ)
1 – Celestial Seasonings tea (used $1/1 MQ making it only .50)
1 – 5 lb. potatoes for .78
1 – dozen eggs for .99
6 – GM cereal (used various MQs totaling $4.75
4 – BC fruit snacks (these came out to $1.36 for 4 boxes)
8 – McCormick’s seasoning/gravy mixes (no coupons, but on sale 50% off)
Plus, I still have a coupon for $3.50 off milk and $1.75 off eggs. This was done in 3 transactions and all my coupons doubled (even the DND ones). It’s trips like this that make me love shopping at Rainbow – thanks, Carrie for teaching me how!
did you also get your 6pk of diet coke free w/in store q since you bought 2 diet coke?!?
Oh wow – thanks for reminding me. I even had it written on my list and still forgot it. I’ll take my receipt to CS on Wednesday and tell them I didn’t get them. Grrr – I can’t believe I forgot.
Okay here were my transactions today. It was a good day. Went to Brooklyn Park Rainbow. There was NOTHING on my list which was not in stock, unlike two weeks ago when I went on Wednesday. I am thinking I may have to stay on Saturdays until they stop doing it.
Transaction 1- did the General Mills deal
Chocolate Cheerios 3.69 had coupon from paper for 55cents off doubled
Honey Nut and Choc Chex Cereal 2.99 had coupon from paper for 1.00cents off two boxes doubled

This met my 6 box quota so I got an instant 10.00 off at the register and a coupon for free eggs up to 1.75 and free milk up to 3.50. Don’t panic because as soon as I had rung all 6 boxes the register automatically credit me and I was worried about the 25 mark but all my coupons still doubled.
Then got two Purex Hypoallergenic for 5.49 each and used BOGO coupon.
Bought one bag of Mission Chips for 1.66 that I needed for taco night.

Total before coupons 33.22 I saved 16.85 and paid 16.47 out of pocket. Not the best overall savings, but I had to buy some things I needed rather than just what was a good deal.

All in all, a good day got 112. 24 worth of groceries only paying 44.04 a savings of 68.20 which is 61%. Yeah!!!!
Warning to people, I have found that many of the cashiers are now scanning the lower value coupons first rather than when I started shopping there about a year ago the cashiers would always find the higher value ones first. So my stratagey has been to hand them the 5 coupons I want doubled first, then hand them any other coupons I may have so I know the ones I want are doubled and if there are any problems they have to tell me, not just scan other coupons.
Good luck!
Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks coupons say DND at least on the ones I printed
I wonder if you ONLY have DND coupons if the register has no choice but to double the coupons since it happens automatically when the coupon is scanned. I only had 5 coupons on Wed (all said DND) and they all doubled.
TEN doubled coupons this Wednesday, March 3rd, per printed sign at St. Louis Park Rainbow!!! Also, the Scotties tissue is no longer .99. must have been a midweek special or something.
is that still with the 25.00 ? & is it only that store??
its all stores!!! it was in my rainbow ad i got today!!
Dumb question: can I freeze cheese? lol! Darn Kraft coupons. Seriously, can I?
Theresa, I freeze shredded cheese all the time without any problems. I have so much stocked up from the last time cheese was on sale at Rainbow! Block cheese can be frozen, but it’s a little crumbly when you thaw it.
I had a great Saturday of shopping! I didn’t do the math yet, but I’m so happy to be stocked up on laundry detergent, cheese, cereal, alfredo sauce, pizza, OJ, pork, sausages, eggs, milk and soup. I just wish that I had known one thing: you can only use your Roundy’s card 6 times in a day!!! I was SO embarrassed. I had gone 5 times today, between two stores and a rest in between. At home and unpacked, I kept telling myself to go back for the Palermo Pizza and more detergent. The 6th visit was fine, but the 7th sounded an alarm. Just kidding! But I kept trying to put in my Roundy’s number but it wouldn’t register. The teenager finally said something about it not working if I’d already used it 6 times today (as if!). Yeah, I was embarrassed. Still got my great deals though…just no fuel perks. A lesson learned.
Thanks for sharing Theresa! I put a photo of my trip up on the Pocket Your Dollars Facebook fan page. http://www.facebook.com/PocketYourDollars
