Nielsen Digital Voice: Chance to Win $10,000 in Monthly Prizes

I don’t normally post sweepstakes offers, but because the Nielsen Home Scanner program I shared was so popular with readers, I thought I’d let you know about Nielsen Digital Voice (did you know that I can tell which hyperlinks on Pocket Your Dollars readers click on and which ones you don’t click and lots of you signed up for the Home Scanner panel). As a member of Nielsen Digital Voice you provide information about how you surf the web and are entered into drawings for $10,000 worth of prizes each month, including two $1,000 grand prizes.

Digital Voice is a division of Nielsen, of the Nielsen Ratings, that provides media outlets and retailers with market research about how the public is using the web. Joining is free. You register, then download a totally secure piece of software that Nielsen uses to aggregate information on your surfing patterns.

In essence, if you remember the old days of jotting down everything you watched on TV in a Nielsen notebook, or today everything you watch is tracked instantly because TV is digital, then this is that same thing for the internet.

After downloading the software you don’t need to do anything else to be eligible for the monthly drawings. You will occasionally be emailed surveys you can complete, but they are optional and don’t have bearing on your entrance in the monthly drawings, and you can quit your participation at any time.

Again, I’m sharing this because the Nielsen Home Scanner idea I shared was wildly popular with readers. But, the biggest question readers asked about the Home Scanner panel, was “will I have time to scan my groceries?” This is a way for you to have your voice heard as part of internet research and trend data without having to do anything except initially register.

Besides sweepstakes and all that, I think that letting our voice be heard as part of market research helps shape which products and services come to market down the road and how they are presented to us. I enjoy knowing I’m helping make a difference.

Your turn: Are you going to give Digital Voice a try?

I am going to give it a whirl. I am little unsure about being “tracked” but Nielson is a well known company and google tracks everything already. The form takes awhile to fill out esp if you have a larger family. We will see how it goes and who knows maybe I will win.

I’m fine with them knowing what I watch on tv but not all about our internet usage. I was part of the scanner program until I had a kiddo–way too much work. Thanks for your help, Carrie!

I would sign up only if our names and privacy were assured. Only the information garnered from tracking our usage would beused.

For sure! Thanks. I did sign up for the scanner, but have yet to get approved. Still hoping for that. I have heard it is a lot of work, but that is the life of getting stuff for free :) You got to work at it.

Thanks again crossing my fingers that I will win a prize so I can pay down my debt.

Just registered but they don’t support Macs, so if you have a Mac system don’t bother to register.

Any priize below $600 is non-taxable I used to have impress that neilsen was a class company though I wondered if ” I agree to sell my immortal soul is under others rules. For slowing my computer down and after 48 cent stamp the $9 and change wouldnt buy a 27oz can of cowboy coffee.. These rules make your company appear shabby and a stamped-business reply would have been nice.

Rule 7 “By accepting this Prize…..use of my name photograph, voice an/or likeness, and biographical information may be distorted, blurred, altered or used in conposite forms, in conjunction with factual or fictional text either intentionally or otherwise, may be subject me to scandal scorn, ridicule reproach or indignity.”

For $10 less postage and time your company expects signature SSN# and bs in above.. And I will will note to others what a scam company that you appear to be legit. People nay have thought that your associated with the Neilsen ratings group for radio and television and if you are it’s still shameful. If this affidavit is lost for the $10 with stamp someone could have SSN signature and I’d be a victim of identity theft. Hardly worth the risk and my instinct says scam!~

    I read this online ”
Online surveys, nielsen digital voice, its a scam?
Online surveys are a great way to make a little extra cash, if you are willing to spend alot of time looking and signing up for hundreds of them, but some are scams, nielsen digital voice, for instance, is a scam, do not sign up, DO NOT DOWNLOAD anything from survey companies. if you have already signed up with them and downloaded the client you must wipe your hard drive, or buy better antivirus, because you downloaded a KEY LOGGER AND SPYWARE. which if you use your credit cards online, you will lose everything.

just wanted to give a heads up

For less than $12 with the $9 and change I can get Santeria Madrina to put curse upon your company as the devil is in the details.

Talk about shameless. the person who came up with this is hellbound.
